Really sorry to hear this. Like many, I used to bump into Simon at away games and here on this site, where he would always entertain. Great memories of a really nice guy. Gone way too soon.
  2. Thinking about flying in. Will I get a ticket? :-)
  3. Flying in from Singapore for the Dundee Utd game and staying on for the cup final.
  4. Thank you both for your kind words. And to everyone else who has passed on their condolences. I'm sure my father was looking down on us this afternoon - at least for the second half. Funeral details will be published in Tuesday's Courier, All the very best, Graham
  5. Think so, caught me. I laughed it off. Not so funny for others with less mobility than me. But that's weegies for you...
  6. Good wind up. Caught me. Less fun for the elderly fans and fans with kids who trusted this muppet. Celtic football club. Always the victims... Twit
  7. I think of yesterday as the anniversary of our conception rather than our birth. There were several months of joy and worry in between the two. And a few regrets for lost youth...
  8. Is there any way you could broadcast the games in English so we can understand the commentary please?
  9. Ah, I knew I'd forgotten something. Burn the ref!!! As we only have one away game in each of Sep and Oct, are there any away games I might frequent?
  10. The traffic situation on Saturday was un-necessary and unacceptable. This was a small event with ca. 4,000 fans travelling in a few hundred vehicles. In the rest of the UK, the authorities cope regularly with 10s of thousands of fans and vehicles. What makes Inverness different? In my view, we have too many unnecessary traffic lights. Why not switch them all off for a month and see how we get on? If I drive from the Caley club to the Castle Tavern, I pass 6 sets of lights in 500 odd metres. That must be some kind of world record!
  11. Guys The linesman flagged for an offence that he thought he saw. The ref awarded a red card. Incorrectly in my view. A mistake was made and the game carried on. The outcome was not affected on this occasion. On the basis of TV evidence, Hearts will appeal and the card will be overturned. End of. Or am I missing something?
  12. Were there really 2 clubs back in the old days? I'd be interested to hear the history...
  13. Watford eh? Blooming northerners
  14. I live in Englandshire. But I'm not a proper football fan as I don't support my local team. After all, it's been a whole year since they won the champions league so I'd rather hunt the glory in Inverness...
  15. TV schedules are the least of your worries there - the fixtures are going to be completely revamped to enable Richard Brittain to play for both of his clubs. Comment of the year on this website. Laughed out loud. Worthy of at least 2 Andy Gorams I wish the fixture list actually meant something. Personally, I will wait until the TV schedules are out on the 8th July before booking flights. Would anyone like to take a bet on how many of our fixtures are played at 15:00 on a Saturday. At the moment, it is 32 out of 33 or 97%. How low will it go this season? Bets?
  16. From the BBC website: Road works cause major tailbacks on A9 at Inverness "Road works at Inverness have caused major disruption for travellers headed for the city from the other side of the Kessock Bridge."
  17. My first home game of the season. And what a cracker. Stars were Foran, Doran, Shinnie and my man of the match, Roberts. Not forgetting our Spanish goalkeeper. And unlike last season, we played like a team, all of whom deserve kudos for the performance. If I had to be critical, I'd like to have seen us pushing forward a bit more and we could have brought on the subs earlier; especially for Foran, who had clearly hurt his back. But still one of the best performance I have seen. Bring on the County!
  18. A real game of two halves. The ref was a total clown, throwing cards about at random. But great spirit from Inverness in the second half to keep the pressure on with ten men. I think our penalty was just to make up for the one he gave in the first half but no mistaking the second goal. Some good stuff to build on - and a much more streetwise performance. If only our captain could keep himself in check.
  19. Foran was asking for it today. At least twice he threw the ball away when a kick was given against us. And he was giving the ref some serious verbals. Generally behaving like Black at his most petulant. Might be excusable in a young lad but not good enough for a team captain.
  20. Fantastic. I shall be renewing my season ticket immediately. As I live in London, I only ever get to about half the home games so I only buy the season ticket to support the club, who are now once more deserving of that support. Well done to the board and the Chairman. I am now off to look at the fixture list and get logged on to flybe.com. PT
  21. Aye, the win was good. It was almost like watching football... Looking forward to more pictures and stories on the website. Congrats again on a tenth end to end. I guess someone will be 60 next year. What awaits?
  22. Well done gentlemen. Another epic performance. Good to see you in the Innes. PT
  23. I didn't enjoy the Celtic game so I'm coming up again for this. My favourite away ground. PT
