  1. Happy International Women's Day to the many women and girls associated with ICT and to women everywhere, especially those currently enduring war and persecution in Ukraine and elsewhere.
  2. Amazing as it is after our abysmal run since before the turn of the year, we are still in with a shout of promotion via the play offs. We will need to improve on our recent dire performances and occasional apparent lack of team spirit. Now is the final chance to revive our season which will, above all, require unity on and off the pitch. Frustrated and disappointed as we are, time to pull together and back the team. Definitely not time to spread unfounded rumours about dressing room unrest.
  3. Am I the only one who would feel just a little less frustrated about our position if the manager would, at least occasionally, acknowledge just how poor we are, especially in front of goal, instead of the constant refrain that we are unlucky and are just not getting the breaks. That mantra is wearing very thin indeed and is beginning to annoy me almost as much as the results and performances.
  4. We don't deserve to maje the play offs and, on current form, we would merely prolong the agony for a game or two more if we do. Time now to be planning seriously for next season.
  5. Our finishing has been woeful but not as woeful as that playing surface which was not fit to play professional football on. Another year in the Championship surely awaits us but please please please not with the current manager and coaching staff.
  6. I saw that after I posted. Clyde could be homeless with only their bull headed directors to blame.
  7. I sincerely hope that the club will be sourcing it's own Ukrainian flag to fly above the stadium for our remaining home games. A small gesture but these little things add up.
  8. It seems that they do. The Clyde Women's team have resigned en masse. Time for others associated with the club to show support for those brave and principled women.
  9. As usual, the IOC have fudged it by permitting athletes from Russia and Belarus to compete under a neutral flag. Not remotely good enough in the circumstances.
  10. Shame on Clyde signing him in the first place. Bigger shame on them taking him back. Does nobody at Broadwood have a sense of morality?
  11. Well done to the Scottish football authorities. It's not always that they get it right but they have done absolutely the right thing on this occasion 🏴󠁧.
  12. Now that both FIFA and UEFA have set a long overdue precedent by sanctioning nations and their clubs for gross breaches of international law and, in particular, illegal occupation of territory surely it's time to look at taking action against Israel who have, according to numerous UN resolutions been in illegal occupation of territory not belonging to them for decades.
  13. It is a start but should remain firmly in place for as long as Russia is occupying Ukraine, and the enclaces of Moldova for that matter, including the areas illegally occupied in 2014. Time to stand up to tryrants.
  14. I have looked but can't find one that would be delivered by Friday.
  15. FIFA are craven and this is not nearly a strong enough response. There is considerable Russian influence and money within both FIFA and UEFA which is why Russia have recently hosted a World Cup and have been allocated so many major European finals. They are seeking to adopt the model of the IOC imposed for cheating at sport. In my view, that is not even adequate for these doping offences, it is certainly not anywhere near adequate for an unprovoked invasion of a nation causing thousands of deaths and injuries already and hundreds of thousands to lose there homes. Several nations, including England, have now said they will not play Russia anywhere under any circumstances. At the time of posting, the SFA have been silent. I hope that changes and very soon. The whole football world needs to stand with our brothers and sisters in Ukraine.
  16. Do any of the fans planning to travel to Firhill on Friday, whether by the supporters bus or otherwise, intend to take and display a Ukrainian flag ? With the football community rallying behind the brave people of Ukraine, it would be good if we could be seen to be doing the same, especially for a televised match.
  17. Poland, Sweden and the Chech Republic, the nations Russia could potentially face on their way to Qatar have all now said they would refuse to play. Time for FIFA and UEFA, and all other international sporting organisations to show some morality and leadership and to expell Russia, Russian clubs and individual Russian athletes.
  18. I would rather Scotland sctratched from the competition rather than taking advantage of Ukraine's terrible plight by seeking a forfeit.
  19. With everyone else stumbling to a draw, it is even more frustrating that we did so too.
  20. There is no wsy the play off against Ukraine will now take place next month. I would hope that Russia will be expelled from the competition but very much hope that the same fate will not be visited on Ukraine who have done nothing wrong and who are currently fighting fiercely and bravely to defend their sovereignty. I hope that Fifa give them every opportunity to compete in the play off even if that means a postponement. If the tie does go ahead it would be great to see the Tartan Army flood Hampden with Ukrainian or combined saltire and Ukrainian flags by way of a show of support and solidarity.
  21. I will make an appointment first thing Monday morning.
  22. Better than the many who have stopped watching altogether. Against all logic, I seem to have acquired a dose of Robert's optimism for this one.
  23. Well done. Matched Hearts at Tynecastle and were unfortunate to lose by the odd goal in three. A performance they can be proud of and a young team that gives hope for the future.
  24. There are clearly issues at the club on and off the pitch including the team form being abysmal and the chairman renaging on his promise to communicate more ofter and more effectively. However, I see no evidence that the CEO is not doing a competent job in very challenging circumstances.
  25. Calder, Munro, Mann, Christie, Wilson, Thompson
