  1. I would be happy with Jim Mcinally. Right age, decent record on limited resources.
  2. Boosts our hopes of a play off slot but only if we can turn round our own dismal form, hopefully starting on Friday.
  3. There are definitely structural problems with the way we are set up at directorship level which needs to be addressed in time However, the most pressing issue just now is what is or isn't happening on the training ground and on the match day pitch.
  4. More than there is in Dingwall.
  5. No media experience should be required just a willingness no keep the promise to communicate regularly and honestly with the fans which has been utterly lacking for months.
  6. The reason why John Robertson is there is that the club took a compassionate attitude to his mental health issues and found him a lower profile and less stressful role within the club. Whilst I have many criticisms of the clubs actions in recent times, I personally think that was the right and proper thing to do.
  7. I used to smuggle flares into Kingsmills every second week for at least three seasons in the 70s
  8. Just out of curiosity, is there anyone on this site who still wishes BD to continue as head coach?
  9. The only positive I took from yesterday was the further confirmation that we have two capable and reliable goalkeepers on our books. Pity we can't say the same about the outfield players.
  10. Very well played to both rinks. Ammusing to hear the BBC heap praise on the 'Great British' culers following upon the team's only medal success in the games.
  11. I agree but changing the personel in the dugout and training ground might just. The prospect of automatic promotion is realistically gone but, with a different approach we could still salvage the season through the play offs. That is clearly not going to happen under Billy and Barry but I can't see a team being coached by Christie and Tokely lacking passion and commitment at least. Ten games to go. Just about enough time to give it a go.
  12. Nor do I normally call for the manager to be sacked and have quite recently called for him to be given until the end of the season before a review. However, for me, yesterday waa a turning point. Billy Dodds was the convenient and available option at the start of the season once Neil McCann made it clear he wasn't continuing but it is abundantly clear now that he was, and continues to be the wrong option. Charlie Christie is an excellent coach and good motivator who stepped down as manager far too early. I would be happy to see him step in to take the team until at least the end of the season.
  13. ..and, whilst manager, also failed to assemble and coach a side capable of gaining promotion. Fresh blood and new ideas are required, if not for this season, then certainly next.
  14. I am no fan of the former Ross County manager but he is experienced and is currently at a loose end. If he were agreeable, I would be happy to see him step in on an interim basis between now and the end of the season to try and salvage this increasingly dismal situation. However, that would effectively mean that we would be paying three managerial salaries, Robbo's Dodds's and his. I doubt that woukd be financially viable.
  15. How are the under 18 lads placed to play our final 10 league fixtures? They would surely at least show more commitment than the current first team squad.
  16. Agreed. If it were a lack of skill or ability that was the main issue that would be easier to take. However, the bigger issue is a lack of desire and commitment which is very much harder to stomach.
  17. I have no interest in hearing what Billy Dodds has to say post match. I have heard it all before and it wore very thin a very long time ago.
  18. I am pleased that I could not bring myself to share your optimism. That would have been even more crushing and soul destroying.
  19. It would be a mistake to say that our season is falling apart. It actually fell apart weeks ago with a few poor results by our opponents papering over the cracks which have now become crevices. Our coaching staff are clueless and have no idea how to arrest the decline. We might just pip Partick or Raith Rovers for the final play off place if we are lucky but have no prospect of progressing through the play offs on current form. Time to turn our minds to next season and, within our limited resources, have a serious think about what coaches and players we need for a proper sustained promotion push. Bitterly disappointing from where we were. Too late to save this season but it is patently obvious, even if it wasn't before, that root and branch change is required.
  20. Bloody autocorrect ! You are quite right, very unlikely to see me out on the right wing 😁
  21. Apparently, lined up a fortnight ago so a bit embarrassing for the Dens board to sack McPake after Conservative victories. A managerial dinosaur resturning to add nothing to the Scottish football scene.
  22. Whilst that would be ideal, I will settle for 3 points however we acheive it. Ayr, under new management, will be a real challenge.
  23. I see that the charmimg Derek Adams has been sacked as manager of Bradford City.
  24. Which, whether she fancies you or whether her husband was a complulsive liar?😁
