  1. Or, showing solidarity with Ukraine
  2. Like the black trim but would have preferred more conventional red and blue vertical stripes. Six out of ten from me. Far from the worst home strip we have had.
  3. New kit apparently being revealed at 5pm.
  4. Agreed but, being a pedant, I would point out that it is Test and Protect here in Scotland.
  5. A larger and noisier than usual crowd would certainly help. If you have friends, family or colleagues who have not been for a while Saturday is the perfect opportunity to encourage them to get back down the Longman.
  6. A bit harsh. Yes, our win against Raith was a lucky scrape but our victory over Arbroath was fairly comprehensive and seldom in doubt.
  7. A good result for us in that it keeps us ahead of Partick who's goal difference has taken a bit of a hammering in the last few days. However, we will be facing opponents on Saturday who are running into some good form and who will have increased confidence. Having, at last, dragged themselves off the bottom of the table, the Pars will be determined not to return there. As has been said before, we will have to be on our very best form and fully committed for the entire 90 minutes if we are going to beat Dunfermline for the first time this season and maintain our recent winning run.
  8. I would be interested to hear the views of Raith Rovers fans on the proposition of John Hughes as 'master tactician'. That said, Dunfermline looking the better organised team so far this evening.
  9. Absolutely agree. Our last two victories could count for very little if we can't beat the Pars, who are bottom of the league for a reason, for the first time this season. We are better than them. As Jaggernaught says, we have to be as comitted in the pursuit of promotion as they will be in avoiding relegation.
  10. We are now in with a shout of promotion via the play offs. However, to have a realistic chance, we need to keep as many of our limited squad as possible available to play. Yesterday our most experienced player was lucky not to be sent off for reacting to what was admittedly a reckless challenge on him and could easily have found himself suspended for a straight red. I realise that it is sometimes difficult in the heat of things but, from now until the end of the season, discipline will be almost as important as commitment. The best form of retaliation is to watch your opponent leave the pitch head bowed in defeat.
  11. Don't you just love a film with a surprising twist in the tail.
  12. The pink kit is, by far, the best away kit we have ever had. Certainly a far nicer kit than the current one.
  13. Having reflected on the goals conceded today, I can't help feeling that Cammy could have done better with both of them. I appreciate that this view might not be popular as, prior to today, he has been very solid since he came into the team but, in my view, we should be going with Ridgers, asuuming he is fully fit, as the more experienced "keeper for the remaining games of the season.
  14. Even at this early stage it's looking extremely likely that the Premiership side in the play offs will be St Johnstone. I hope that, from the point of view of being as prepared as possible, one of the coaching team will take in a couple of their league matches just in case we prove good enough or lucky enough to make the play off final.
  15. What a disgrace. Commentators using our club name.
  16. Well well well. I didnt see that coming 20 minutes ago. We maybe didn't deserve all three points but I wll happily take them. A bit of breathing space against Raith and the gap narrowed against Partick. A much better day than it looked a wee while ago. We will have to play, and especially defend, much better for the rest of the season but much to celebrate this evening.
  17. Not necessarily a good thing that we are playing the bottom five. Our record against them has generally been poor this season and that needs to change quickly if our promotion hopes are to remain intact.
  18. HT Raith 0, ICT 0 FT; Raith 0, ICT 1 ICT; Sutherland Raith; Connolly Crowd; 2,096 JOKER
  19. Excellent news. If we make the play offs having him fit and available will be a major boost.
  20. Maybe not quite a must win match but definitely a must not lose game if we are going to maintain a realistic hope of maintaining a play off position. We need to show every ounce of commitment that we, at last, demonstrated against Arbroath. I am sure that a large and highly vocal travelling support will help.

Positive news. It would be great to see half of the population better represented and treated more fairly in the Inverness football community. A little way to go yet but definitely a step in the right direction.
  22. A great gesture. Hopefully, a large crowd and a sea of Ukrainian flags.
  23. You may be right and I have been as critical as anyone but, unless or until we are no longer in the promotion hunt, let's just get behind the team and leave such decisions for a bit later.
  24. Disappointing to see such a negative reaction to a decent performance and a good result against the team leading the league for most of the season. Yes, recent weeks and months have been desperately disappointing but yesterday could well be a turning point. We are still in with a shout of promotion and I personally would prefer to adopt a more positive attitude for as long as that remains the case.
