  1. A share of the points between Partick and Arbroath probably the ideal result. Keeps Partick at arms length and, assuming we can take advantage of our games in hand, keeps our hopes of second place entirely realistic. A joy and a relief to still have all to play for after such a horrible run of form and results until relatively recently. Come on the Caley Jags !
  2. Quite an additional incentive to win our play off matches. Not only the chance to beat the Auld enemy in a World Cup finals but a real possibility of getting out of the group stages for the first time ever. England will almost certainly top the group but second place is up for grabs. That said, it is still a scandal that the finals are taking place in Qatar both for moral human rights reasons and for logistical footballing reasons.
  3. Well done to the boys and a big thank you to Ross County for letting us play at what they always infer is their Academy!
  4. I have become quite optimistic about our prospects of late to the point of believing we have a good chance of overhauling Arbroath for second place but that is just a bit of a stretch too far even through the most red and blue tinted spectacles.
  5. A real shame. Some things are far more important than football. Condolences to Sam, his family and his friends.
  6. Such a shame that we have no interest in tonight's live match on the BBC Scotland channel with Kilmarnock being out of our reach in first place.
  7. My main memory of the game was the sense of astonishment at Paul Sheerin missing a penalty. Peanut seemed never to fail to score from the spot. A great day out nevertheless.
  8. Another from him a week Saturday would be even more pleasing.
  9. Great that the tickets are on sale so early but I am hoping that these will not be the last home games of the season.
  10. A really good photo' but my favourite images and memories of the ground are when it's close to being full. Not seen that for a very long time but maybe just maybe will for the play off final.
  11. It's been almost three decades since I have been critical of Caley's play. Even then, I was in no great position to do so as Thistle's play was even more worthy of criticism.
  12. Premiership wages next season should go a long way to doing that.
  13. My mistake. Hopefully, we will be seeing him in the Premiership next season.
  14. In fairness to the manager who has been, rightly in my view, criticised for much of the season, his use of the loan system is now paying dividends with vital goals from a loan player last week and from two loan players this. Suddenly, it looks like we have options in the squad which may expand further if Roddy becomes fit to play during our enforced extended break.
  15. The fury shown by their 'keeper towards his defenders is priceless.
  16. It's a pity that, now that we have last tapped into a vein of good form, that there is such a delay before our next fixture. I like the Challenge Cup as a tournament although I would rather we are not eligible to take part next season. However, the final usually takes place earlier in the season and I wonder whether it is appropriate, at this late crucial stage in the league season with so many sides having so much to play for, it is appropriate for it to take precedence over league fixtures rather that being played midweek under the lights.
  17. Am I permitted to use the word 'Nice' to describe my favourite biscuit?
  18. That was a thoroughly competent performance and another well deserved win. A few weeks ago we were in a desperate scrap for the final play off place which frankly we looked losing but now, without being complacent, we are firm favourites for for a play off place and, if we maintain today's form, a realistic opportunity to overtake Arbroath for second place and make the play off path a bit smoother. The only disappointment today was the size of the crowd. Hopefully, we can attract a few hundred more for our remaining home games. I was somewhat critical about Cammy last week and suggested he should be replaced by Ridgers for the remaining games this season. Today he went a very long way to providing me wrong. For much of this season watching the team has been an eye bleeding ordeal but, by contrast, today was an absolute pleasure.
  19. Which, with a little care taken, could easily have been avoided.
  20. If there was ever a time to get our first win of the season against Dunfermline it's tomorrow.
  21. A very good question. Maybe the same ones they consulted about the naff design.
