Contract Situation
Very good news indeed now a two or three year deal for David Raven please.

Development League info. (2015/16)
Personally, I would have thought that how they perform as a group in the Development League would be a fair indication of that....

Richie Foran new manager
A budget that ensures that the club lives within it's means and doesn't flirt with administration can't be described as unrealistic. Quite the contrary and JH's budget for next season would have been greater had he not failed to guide the team to victory over horribly out of form lower league opposition in the cup quarter final. There was a fairly easy path to the final in the form of two very poor teams. Failure to negation that path would have cost the club in excess of half a million pounds.

CJT EGM Notice
That bunch of grapes strikes me as very sour indeed. I understand and appreciate there have been issues and problems. I know that there are differences in approach and of opinion but everyone who gives up their time to get involved clearly has the interest of the club, and more particularly it's supporters, at heart. I fail to see how such bitterness and rancour publically expressed helps anyone.

It looked very much as though we were heading for what might have been a damaging and morale sapping defeat until we got the break with the penalty and sending off. Taking goal difference into account, we are now certain in practical terms to be in the Premiership next season. Time now to concentrate fully on securing vital members of the squad for next season and beyond and that very much includes David Raven.

Seven pages, over a hundred and fifty posts, thousands of words but if you don't have the time or inclination to trawl through them all just read this brilliant one paragraph post. Absolutely nails it and sums things up perfectly. Well said sir...

True fans will always have a relationship with the club but I agree it could be a turning point or tipping point for the manager.

...and yet he is happy to spend money paying wages to defenders far inferior to Raven both in terms of reliability and commitment.....

You beat me to it. Never turned full time but in my view the best full back we have had.

It's no secret that I am not and have never been enthusiastic about having JH as our manager but I still think that calling for his sacking is extreme especially as it's not going to happen. However, I do think he is under an obligation to state clearly and publicly why no contract offer has been made to someone who has voiced his desire to remain and who is regarded almost universally by fans as still one of our better players. He's quick enough to complain publically about scarce resources or not having funds to stop players he wants to retain moving elsewhere. Please just give us his reasoning for not wanting to retain the Rave...If there is a decent and rational explanation let's have it.

To be fair, I don't think that was the case with Brewster. I think he was simply a poor manager masked by the fact that in his first spell he was a very good player indeed and was able to set something of an example on the pitch.

It's entirely possible to do both.

...and huge vocal support for the idea from the North Stand on Saturday. The manager and board need to be left in no doubt about the views of the overwhelming majority of fans on the matter.

I don't know about the last sentence. The manager has only recently extended his contract for two years so will stay. The increasing concern is just where the club will be by then.

I can see a lot of Premiership managers raising an eyebrow and one or two raising their 'phones to call his agent. Very disheartening indeed. I would not be ion the least surprised to see him at County next season and couldn't blame him for it. He is settled in the area, loves it , wants to stay and we are inexplicably not offering him the option.

Very much what happened at Hibs and Falkirk before that. Everybody makes mistakes, the big problem with Yogi is that he seems to fail to learn from his.

JH has made a number of errors of judgement particularly on matters of recruitment and retention. He has brought in players many of whom have been mediocre and some of whom can't even aspire to mediocrity yet here we have one of our most consistent and reliable defenders loyal enough to want to commit to the club and the city for the rest of his career and it appears he is about to be shown the door. Getting very close to the final straw as far as I am concerned.
