Friday's Game
I don't quite understand the original poster. We are not the sort of club or, by and large, the sort of fans, who indulge in bitterness or hold grudges and I personally can't see any reason for this bitterness. We did get compensation for Brewster who hardly went on to set the heather alight at Tannadice and we did get what we were contractually due when Barry Robson was sold on to Celtic. Stephen Thomson's views are his own and sadly hardly unique. I am not in the least interested in inflicting further harm on United other than picking up three points this evening. I am keen, however, for harm to be inflicted on their city rivals by us and others between now and the end of the season not because I bear them any animosity but purely because they are our rivals, in a way United are not, for league places and the vital prize money going with them.

In the circumstances, they will probably be happy simply to cut their losses and get him off their wage bill but their are still likely to be other suitors with pockets deeper than ours.

The pair in tandem would be ideal but probably beyond our resources.

New telly deal
I am sorry but given what the UK wide public service broadcaster pay for English rights that is still proportionately a poor deal for TV, radio and internet rights. Our administrators have undersold our game yet again. English football sells it's soul to TV as well but at least it holds out for a bloody good price for it.

Absolutely. We have a limited budget and an overabundance of midfielders. John Rankin, good as he was, is a luxury we can't afford. Same to be said of Barry Robson.

That is a shame but we can't afford three experienced 'keepers but Brill was a vital part of our success last season despite missing the last few weeks. I would like to thank him for his valuable contribution and wish him success and particularly injury free for wherever his career now takes him.

Leicester City
Whilst I agree that the story at Leicester is a remarkable one turning from battling relegation last season to winning the English Premiership this whilst leaving wealthier and more prestigious rivals in their wake I don't quite buy the fairy tail element that the media are portraying. The Foxes are less well resourced than some but they still have an annual budget of tens of millions and a billionaire owner. A huge and remarkable achievement yes but no David slays Goliath fairy tale..

Ex-ICT players' news
Stuart Golabek has been appointed manager of Brora Rangers with Grant Munro as his assistant. I'm sure all ICT fans wish them well. Apart from anything else it would be great to see the Highland League trophy back in the Highlands rather than a suburb of Aberdeen.

Aye but he was with Wigan when they were relegated last season and has just repeated the feat with Dundee United..

PLASTIC WHISTLE - The Final Frontier
I disagree. There is circa £200,000 difference in prize money between tenth and seventh spot. We need to play our strongest team between now and the end of the season. The extra cash available could be the difference between being able to recruit and retain the players we want for next season or not.

Scottish Cup 2016 - our defence of the trophy!
I'm sure Sneckboy will correct me if I am wrong but I believe that if The Rangers win the cup this season it will be only the second time in the long history of the competition that the trophy has been won by first time winners for three consecutive season. The only other such unbroken sequence was in season 1919-20 (Kilmarnock), 1920-21 (Partick) and 1921-22 (Morton). There were three consecutive first time winners later in the form of East Fife, Clyde and Aberdeen but, due to the non playing of the tournament during war time, not in consecutive seasons.

Contract Situation
That is indeed an articulate, informative, realistic and encouraging statement. After all the incoherent, negative and somewhat inconsistent 'statements' from the manager it is refreshing. Perhaps he would be better served by attempting to manage the team and leave such public utterances in future to others...
