This is a match day thread for discussing the football. If you want to promote bizarre and offensive conspiracy theories please do so elsewhere. The internet is full of fora catering for such nonsense.

Development League info. (2015/16)
Maybe not set the heather on fire but we've improved on last season which is encouraging.

Scottish Cup 2016 - our defence of the trophy!
I suppose that at least the honour of winning the trophy continues to be shared around. This season it will either be won by a club who have not held the trophy for 114 years or one who have never won it at all in their short history.

No Dean Brill. I hope that's a good sign rather than a bad one.

Good work.

As this is the Hearts matchday thread it's perhaps time now to get it back on topic and discuss the match.

Who on earth ever suggested that you are not welcome to have your say ? You have your say, some agree with you others do not. It's what the forum is all about.

Should you consider my post to be a personal attack then I suggest you report it for consideration by the Moderators as personal attacks are a clear breach of site rules. I shall, of course, in the interest of fairness, take no part in that process. As for supporting the club through thick and thin, I have supported ICT and Inverness Thistle before that for almost half a century through some wonderful thick but a hell of a lot of thin as well. Were this a forum for fans simply to say how wonderful things are when, at the moment at least, they clearly are not it would be a very dull place indeed. Have you ever visited other football fora ? Compared to many CTO is well regulated and the debate is generally fair, intelligent and articulate whilst robust at the same time. I have never once, in my view, 'personally attacked' you. How could I ? I don't know you or what you are like and I have no doubt you are kind to animals and small children and would never kick a cat (unless it was Barry Wilson's). However I do sometimes not agree with your opinion and judging by the number of 'red dots' they often receive It looks like I may not be the only one.

Believe me, there was nothing to get excited about...one shot on target in 94 minutes tells it's own story..all too typical of this season unfortunately.

Typical of Buchtmaster to want to shoot the messenger, especially if that messenger is club legend Barry Wilson. Just how on earth else was he going to describe last night's performance and far too many others at the TCS this season other than unentertaining and wholly ineffective ? To suggest that we were either would be on a par with suggesting that Dingwall is a centre of urbane sophistication and culture ! The really sad thing is that it doesn't have to be like this. On the rare occasions that the team is set out differently or when, usually as a result of losing a goal due to trying to play tippy tappy in our own penalty area, we end up chasing the game too little too late, the players demonstrate that we are capable of being direct, fast paced and entertaining. There was a time last season when Yogi's style of play was moderately effective but teams have long since worked out how to play us and the sooner the manager recognises that and shows more tactical nous the better. In the meantime, all that Barry Wilson or any other commentator or summariser can do is to tell it as it is....

Post Split Fixtures
No, the post spit fixtures were agreed in conjunction with the TV companies.

Post Split Fixtures
Sadly, that's what happens when a sport sells it's soul to television made all the worse by the fact that our incompetent administrators didn't even get a decent price.
-
Post Split Fixtures
Our first post split fixture is at home to Kilmarnock on Sunday 24th April. Win that and we can effectively breath a collective sigh of relief, put this season behind us and begin planning in earnest for next.

Celtic's Scottish Cup handball goal ... sshh!
To be fair, we should have been sporting and offered to even thing up by lending them Josh Meekings to play in goal....
-
Attendances
I don't know if things have changed in recent years but I believe that for many years we were second only to Albania in that respect.

Team for Hearts
The long term benefit of playing Williams is that we are still a little way short of being sure of avoiding the play off place and it is to our long term benefit not to be playing in the Championship next season which is also the reason Raven should start if fit.
-
HEARTS GAME OFF
The cynic in me notes that a full strength Hearts side were fit enough this evening to come from a goal down to beat Aberdeen and effectively confirm Celtic as league champions...

Summer Transfer Window Thread
Surely the first priority, before discussing who is coming in, is to get the likes of Raven and Polworth tied up on three year contracts. Yogi's signings have been mixed to say the least but these are lads or are of proven ability comfortable with the club and the city. Get them secured please.

Richie Foran new manager
There is no question of sacking the manager, poor as our season has been, as you rightly say, he has recently been given an extended contract and we would be struggling to afford to apart from anything else. However, it is complacent and premature to suggest that we are safe. Our form over the last few weeks has been dire and we probably need another eight points or so to be comfortable. A win tomorrow though and we can at least feel relatively confident of avoiding the automatic relegation place.

What on earth makes you believe JH is a great coach ? We have seen very little evidence of that.
