Mckay to Fleetwood/Frankfurt/Fraserburgh?
He might be able to sign a pre contract in January but couldn't 'walk away' until the end of the season. On balance, we might gain more than £200,000 in additional place money and cup progression than parting with him for that price.

Hughes comments
Despite what a few 'happy clappers' seem to think, I doubt there is a single genuine fan who would take any pleasure at all in the team failing.

This will be the same chap that linked us with Rory McAllister before he signed a contract extension at Peterhead...

Hughes comments
Has anybody said that he didn't give an interview because of what happened at Rangers ?
-
Hughes comments
Rangers have taken the huff and refuse to speak to the BBC because they don't like some of the coverage. I would be highly embarrassed if we followed that example or indeed any other example set in Govan.

Hughes comments
I doubt it very much but, whatever his motives, it reflects badly on him and the club. The chairman has shown faith in him when his stock was very low with no great queue to employ him and it's hardly a way of repaying that. Whatever his faults and the bitter manner of his parting, TB would never have been so petulant and knew the advantage of good PR and keeping the media on board. No matter what his gripe, Yogi needs to be more mature. Surely, it is part of his roll if not his job description to give interviews.

Hamilton v Inverness CT
Highly satisfactory opening day result. Potentially tricky away fixture negotiated with clean sheet and three points against a team it's essential we stay ahead of this season.

Hamilton v Inverness CT
For goodness sake the first game of the season, we are winning two nil. Do you think you can hold back on the sarcasm just for a wee while ?

Hughes comments
Given results and performances from the time he took over, I agree with Yogi, anything beyond the relegation places will be a bonus.

Mckay to Fleetwood/Frankfurt/Fraserburgh?
Initial offers almost invariably are. Doesn't mean that the deal is dead by any means.

What position would be acceptable this season
Given the results, the way we played and the tactics deployed in the second half of last season I will be happy to steer clear of the bottom two places.

Scottish League Cup draw
A game against lower league opposition. What's not to like ?

Ex-ICT players' news
To be fair, playing in the Challenge Cup is an opportunity he wasn't going to get by staying with us.

Positive or Negative
The comparison with other club fora is very valid. It is true that there are a number of posters, perhaps even a majority, expressing frustration and concern over the tactics and results since Yogi took over the team but there are very few indeed calling for the manager's head most wiling to give him further opportunity to turn round what cannot, no matter how 'supportive' of the club you are, be viewed as anything other than a sharp decline in fortunes since his appointment. From brief visits to other club fora, almost every other forum in the land would have a substantial body of fans calling for the manager to be sacked in similar circumstances. In my view, the majority of users on this site are considered and restrained with the views offered whilst being critical also generally measured and proportionate. If the tenor of the forum upsets you so much just now why, rather than closing the site for six months, don't you take a break from it for six months ? Anyway, without this site, Caley D would have to resort to Twitter to make sarcastic comments about any posts remotely critical of the club or the team....

Is this the only answer
I doubt you will find a single soul who supports the club who wants us to be relegated. Last time might not have been too traumatic from a footballing point of view but was a financial disaster and good people lost their jobs.

Birmingham Away
The signs from pre season are that we are in for more of what proved frustrating and unsuccessful in the second half of last season. I never thought that Yogi was a good appointment but the fact is that he is contracted for two more years. Having been given the job he should be given the whole of this season to prove us cynics wrong unless come January we are in severe relegation trouble which, even with the current tactics, the squad should be good enough to avoid. If at the end of the season we are top six again then I will be delighted to acknowledge that the manager knew what he was doing after all. If, on the other hand, we are struggling towards the bottom come May, then that will be the time to shake John Hughes y the hand, thank him for his efforts and move on.

Predicted Final Table
Easy to overlook in the shadows but I would be inclined to let County compete too.

Predicted Final Table
There is little doubt that we have the best squad in our history. Big question is will they be effectively deployed ?
-
Predicted Final Table
Now that pre season is complete, how about having a go at predicting the final 'Premiership' table with a view to seeing who gets it closest come May. Personally, I see Dundee being a bit of a surprise package while we succumb further to efforts to make us play in a style which is outdated and to which we are unsuited so my prediction is; Celtic Aberdeen Dundee United Motherwell Dundee St Johnstone Ross County Partick ICT St Mirren Hamilton Kilmarnock
