Not so sure we should be writing off Richie as a first team regular just yet.
  2. If the pay what you want initiative doesn't add at least a thousand to the gate I don't know what will. Bold move for which the club should be applauded.
  3. Which, sadly, is one reason why he will go.
  4. Incredible to think that after less than a year in charge Hughes is now the seventh longest serving manager in the 'Premiership'.
  5. A good draw for the top flight teams that prevail. All the more reason to make sure we are among them.
  6. Butcher and Malpas ?
  7. Surprised to see him quit despite Well's poor start. Adams would be obliging his former employers by the job. With him seething away in the dugout there would at least be one team County will finish ahead of.
  8. Anyone at all at home. Nobody to fear.
  9. From the radio commentary, despite being unfortunate not to level things late on, seems we made much the same mistake as we made in the League Cup match at Ibrox in only showing any attacking intent once going behind.

The day the Scottish Cup is seeded will be the day Scottish football truly loses it's soul.
  11. Another great initiative for what will be a top of the table clash or as near as....
  12. Don't think any shots were fired in the direction of the messenger..
  13. because Parkhead will, of course, be bursting at the seams and neither Celtic or Glasgow's finest could possibly cope with a couple of dozen ICT fans making last minute decisions to attend.Sometimes Scottish football does itself no favours. Can you imagine a cinema or theatre more than half empty refusing to sell seats unless they are purchased at least a day in advance 150 miles away ?
  14. Missed that. Did he, for once, speak in something other than cliches ?
  15. Resting and restoring of confidence with a few goals away from the limelight. Who wouldn't have bet their shirt on him burying that chance he effectively ended up passing to the United 'keeper on Saturday this time last year ?
  16. Seemed to me to be taken from just over half the distance we started out taking them from but well done to him anyway..
  17. Quite fancy the Rangers at Ibrox so we can set about getting it right this time.
  18. Hard to disagree with any of that.
  19. Being a greedy sod, I'd prefer to settle for Cup progress plus six points and having a 'right good go' at Celtic Park rather than sitting back waiting to be turned over.
  20. Falling out with players who have the temerity to disagree with him has been a JH failing in the past. Judging from his performance at ICT to date, he seems to have learnt from a number of past mistakes. Let's hope he has learned that lesson too. Doran is too valuable a player to sit on the sidelines as a result of the manager sulking with him.
  21. Agree, credit where it's due. I was and remain to some extent doubtful whether he was or is the right man for the job but it's hard to argue with those statistics. I do, however, still have reservations whilst there continue to be significant errors of judgement in big matches such as those that cost us the League Cup final and led to defeat by standing off a mediocre Rangers team that were there for the taking. That said, he has done a good deal better than I expected or his previous record suggested he might and there is good reason why it has been some time since his future at the club has been discussed on these boards. Long may that continue to be the case.
  22. Whilst earning four times his brother's income. As far as the game is concerned, we played well in a difficult swirling wind but should have put the game to bed well before the end. A sharp and confident Billy would have put away at least two of the gilt edged chances he had yesterday. I wonder if a rest from the first team and a couple of games restoring his confidence and his regaining his scoring boots in the Development League would benefit both him and the team in the long term. I thought Marley was outstanding yesterday.
  23. A difficult game in prospect. I'll take any advantage we can. Please be careful in discussing this thread as neither player has yet been charged with any offence.
  24. As a small company we aren't required to disclose very much information at all, whereas a stock market listed plc has a whole raft of additional requirements in their accounts. There's actually nothing to stop ICT including the kind of additional info you suggest if the directors wanted to, but why would they? They will say it is commercially sensitive, for example there's nothing to be gained from publicising to our rivals what we spend on player wages. All that matters is that these figures are available to the relevant people at the club! Thanks for the explanation. Makes sense. The main reason for my interest is what CaleyD has alluded to already - that our cup run was worth very little cash to us because of the lack of sponsors and the amount of money paid to Hibs and Celtic for use of their stadia. If a well-run club which made a cup final can barely break even, what does that mean for the other clubs? We already know that Motherwell are cutting costs like crazy... Except that the cup run was worth a good deal more than the less than six figures that Caley D suggests. Do you really think that the competing clubs each received only 10% of the revenue from the final alone ? The true figure is 37 1/2 % which, even after netting off stewarding and ground rental is more than quarter of a million with another six figure sum to be added for the semi and earlier rounds.
