You were indeed right to be wary. We will very probably make the play offs but to struggle so badly for so long against a nation with a population broadly similar to that of Inverness does not bode well for our prospects if and when we get there.

Are you still waking up in a sweat after the recurring nightmare of Bertie Vogts back managing Scotland?

Inverness CT -V- Morton - Preview
Possibly the most important game of the season so far and we need to get our promotion campaign back on track with a win. McKay should definitely start, he is a confidence player like many forwards and if he is not brimming with confidence after his hat trick Saturday he never will be. I would also be inclined to give Lewis Jamieson a start alongside him with Shane and Manny on the bench to provide fresh forward impetus later in the game.

Although, let's not take that risk ever again.

Typical Scotland, doing it the hard way but we all lept off our seats when that injury time effort crossed the line.

2021/22 SPFL Trust Trophy
Looking forward to a nostalgic return to Borough Briggs and to seeing a few of the squad players getting a start.

AGM 21 September 2021
It is acknowledged that there was a sell on clause in the contract to transfer Ryan to Celtic. There will, without any doubt, be a similar provision in our agreement with Hibs in regard to Daniel McKay.

I doubt that it is quite that simple.

AGM 21 September 2021
I would sinerely hope that whoerver was offering the club legal advice at the time would have had the wit to draft a clause entitling the club to a share of all funds flowing from the transfer by Celtic to any club purchasing Ryan from them. A failure to have done so would be extremely remiss.

That sounds like a fairly standard clause in the deal between Celtic and Bournemouth and could indeed result in some cash for us if Bournemouth are promoted. Might help fund our first Premiership campaign for a number of years.

Colin Morgan
I was saddened to read of the passing of Clach stalwart and friend of my late father Colin Morgan. Colin was a real grass roots football man and passionate Clach supporter who served the club, in just about every capacity including up to the boardroom, for six decades and was instrumental in saving this near 140 year old Inverness institution for liquidation after it had been run into the ground and mismanaged for decades by others. Sincere condolences to his family and friends who can be comfotred by memories of a long life well lived.

Not yet established whether there was any misconduct by County fans and sadly there are still a small minority of racists idiots among all supports including our own. However, as far as MM is concerned, while I am generally in favour of people being given a second chance, I would be very uncomfortable with someone with such a sustained history of racist, homophobic, sexist and antisemitic comments being manager of our club.

The good news is there is now a fortnight for the physio to work on getting the crocked players fit before the next league outing.

I agree. The last time we wete relegated Terry Butcher instilled in the team a belief that they could win the league despite at one point, being double figures in terms of points behind Dundee. This squad might not be quite so experienced or talented but, if they can summon up the same degree of confidence and belief, they are good enough to win the title and, with it promotion.

Very poor too little far too late.Especially against ten men for two thirds of the game. The only positive to take from today is that Kilmarnock also lost and we are still top of the league However, even that crumb of comfort is tampered by the loss of the opportunity to give ouselves a comfortable cushion at the top. Hopefully, an aberration and we can put this behind us and get back to winning ways for our next league outing.

CTO Player of the Month
It will be far from the last such award young Roddy will receive in his career. Well desreved and great to see first, second and third place all going to born and bred Highland lads.

A lottery would be a good idea which I will happily subscribe to. However, let's hope that naff name never sees the light of day.

For a team raised on grass, a bit like prime Scottish beef, we don't have a bad record on plastic. Hamilton are another team playing below their potential who will probably find their feet in the division before long. We just need to be on our best form ourselves to make sure it's not tomorrow.
