  1. More good news. We are very fortunate to have two goalkeepers who could, and hopefully will next season, play at Premiership level.
  2. Absolutely fabulous and very welcome news. An extremely talented young man who is improving with almost every game. He will, without doubt, go on to bigger and better things but great to have his immediate future secured for now.
  3. A young man of great talent and potential who's future at the club for at least a further two seasons after this one should be amongst our top priorities.
  4. Also encouraging that we have now played 465 minutes of competitive football without conceding a goal.
  5. Watched the Moldova game. What a turgid and depressing performance the 3 points notwithstanding.
  6. An efficient and professional job. Banana skin avoided. A few fringe players got some game time and Billy found his scoring boots. A decent afternoon's work. Credit to Buckie too for making it so competitive for so long.
  7. One of the few advantages of being 'lower league' is being able to watch live football during the international break. Should we win this season's tournament I am happy to volunteer to drive to Kirkcaldy to collect the half of the trophy not already in our possession. Probably safer than asking any of the Scottish Cup winning squad to do it.
  8. Central belt bias writ large.
  9. HT; ICT 2 Buckie 0 FT; ICT 4, Buckie 0
  10. One blast from the past followed by another. At least, unlike last season, we will get to enjoy the nostalgia from inside Borough Briggs. That's assuming we beat Buckie which we cannot take for granted. As Robert has said, they are going well in the Highland League and those of us of a certain vintage will remember just how much joy it brings a Highland League club, both players and fans to eliminate a Scottish League club from a cup. Some scope to tinker with the line up and formation but absolutely no scope for complacency.
  11. Ryan probably does.
  12. Excellent. Still time for us to use our windfall to make a late bid for Harry Kane.
  13. Off topic but, given the progress he has made this season and his obvious future potential, I am pleased and relieved that the window has closed without a bid for Roddy Macgregor.
  14. Very much so. I suspect that the figure which will be used to calculate our share will be in ths ballpark of one and a half million. Still a very welcome six figure sum we would not have received if he had decided to sit out the remaining months or his contract.
  15. I don't know where you are getting that from. The figure being generally accepted is half of that. Still a decent little windfall in finsncially constrained times.
  16. I suspect the deal between Celtic and Bournemouth will contain a significant add on in the event of the latter being promoted back to the English Premiership this season which, assuming our sell on clause was carefully drafted, we should alsi benefit for. Always had a bit of a soft spot for the Cherries through their Inverness connection in Ted Macdougall will now be following their progress this season with even greater interest.
  17. We will lose no money as there is never any guarantee with a sell on clause. As has been said above, if he sees out his contract we will get nothing at all. If he moves for the reported fee of circa one million pounds, we will get a sum which the club will not have budgeted for which may enable us to recruit one, or possibly two, decent players, in January to strengthen our promotion push, which will hopefully still be on track by then. Whichever way you look at it, while the figure might be disappointing compared to what we might have got had he been sold a year and a half ago, it is a bonus for the club right now to get anything at all.
  18. Looking like Ryan Christie going to either Burnley or Bournemouth for a fee in the region of a million pounds. If so, some cash for us but an absolute steal for the buying club and a somewhat disappointing return on our sell on clause.
  19. Delighted whenever our opponents are considered favourites. We generally perform better as underdogs.
  20. Almost rubbing my eyes in disbelief looking at a table showing us 11 points and 10 goals ahead of big spending Dunfermline. I wonder if Toderov is now regetting rejecting our contract offer.
  21. Our first league game after the break is at home to a resurgent Partick team scoring for fun. If we can continue our winning streak, even by our now customary 1-0 victory, we really can consider ourselves genuine title contenders and look forward to the rest of the season with enormous confidence. It would help if the Glasgow Jags were welcomed to the Highlands by 3,000 plus noisy home fans.
  22. Whatever criticism can be levelled, you cant fault the commitment and work rate of any of the squad and, at this level, as we are continuing to demonstrate, that can make all of the difference.
  23. Let's hope it looks equally good in May. Keep up this level of commitment and there's no reason why it shouldn't.
  24. Long may this thread last and be added to every league game.
  25. A great team effort with a piece of individual brilliance. Happy to continue our run of 1-0 to the Caley Jags in the league. A few more goals against Buckie next week would be a nice bonus though.
