  2. Great to see both members of our non playing staff who had to take time off last year for health reasons back at the helm once again. Credit too to the club in acting as responsible employers and facilitating this.
  3. Excellent news. We have been blessed with very good 'keepers over the years from Jimmy Calder onwards but Mark, without doubt, one of the best and most dependable. An opporunity for him to finish his career at ICT playing Premiership football.
  4. Good luck to Richard Hastings in his first managerial role with Inverurie Loccos
  5. They can have 5,000 without any authorisation from the council. I know it's a top of the table clash but will the crowd exceed that ? I'm not so sure.
  6. I agree but that was a minority, albeit a loud and vocal one. The majority of us noticed and appreciated him at the time and regretted his departure in which there is little doubt that the boo boys played a part.
  7. I am pleased to see that The Rangers have dealt with the racist abuse directed at Kyogo Furuhashi so swiftly and effectively. Within 48 hours of the footage from the supporter's bus on the way to Dingwall being posted on line the offenders have been identified and banned indefinitely and the supporters club involved barred from receiving tickets for matches in tge future. The Rangers deserve great credit for that. However, it does beg the question of why the equally disgraceful sectarian conduct and anti Irish racism which takes place week in week out on supporters buses and away grounds cannot be dealt with in precisely the same way or indeed called out in the Scottish media in the same way that Saturday's abuse was.

  8. Indeed. Unless anyone can think of a better player to have come through our youth system so far. I certainly can't. Still not a patch on his dad though
  9. Absolutely. I hope that we are talking to Roddy anout a contract extension. If he continues to imorove and develop at the rate he has been it is inevitable that he will move on to a much bigger club at a higher level. That always bitter pill would be considerably sweetened by a substantial fee.
  10. One of the signs of a mediocre journalist is an inability to get basic facts right
  11. I agree. If we continue to win our more routine games we needn't have a 'must win' at all this season.
  12. Extremely well deserved. A Highland lad who is now back where he belongs and who hopefully next season can have the ability to demonstrate that, despite his long spell as a part timer, he always did have the ability to be a threat at Premiership level.
  13. We will be facing probably the best player in the division in Liam Polworth. A Premiership quality player who remains, with all due respect to Daniel McKay, the second best player to have come through our youth system.
  14. An additional incentive, if any were needed, to go one better and take all three points from Rugby Park next week.

Are their women's team Ross County in disguise?
  16. This season, above all others, is all about results rather than performances and we are three games, all victories and no goals conceded The road to the title and promotion can be paved with narrow 1-0 victories and, right this moment, I will happily settle for another one in our top of the table clash next week.
  17. I am getting the irony but finding it frustratingly familiar rather than hilarious.

  19. Me too. With tonight's Fife derby abandoned due to floodlight failure, an opportunity to put further 3 points between us and two pre season tips for promotion as well as to stay joint leaders at the very least. Let's hope for a large and enthusiastic crowd and an entertaining game.

A step in the right direction. Let's hope for a decent turnout.
  21. I absolutely agree. This season, I will happily settle for a couple of dozen narrow 1-0 wins with the odd draw and a handful of defeats as long as, come the end of the season, we finish with at least a point more than everyone else. Entertaining football would be a bonus but, right now, it's not the priority.

'Letting' their Women's team on the pitch strikes me as somewhat condescending and patronising. If we had an artificial surface, I am pleased we do not , I would be proposing double headers. Since we do not, I am simply suggesting that the women are afforded the respect to play at the stadium on weekends when they are at home and the men away. As far as the use of the pitch is concerned, it's not so very long ago when Highland League teams would train twice a week on the pitch which would also be used by reserve and youth teams. I would hope that a decently maintained surface could cope with one or two additional matches a month. If, during a bad Winter, there was an issue with the surface, the Women's team would clearly have to play elsewhere.

On match days when the stadium is free they should be playing there.
  24. Raith Rovers victory over a full strength Aberdeen side today puts our league win against them into an even more positive light.
  25. We paid a heavy price for appoting a former ICT player with no previous experience as our manager. Ultimately, Brechin paid an even heavier price for doing the same thing.
