  1. Because the Mods are content for it to be there 😁
  2. Welcome back to the Highlands Josh. Brora have signed an excellent defender who can perform a useful spot of goalkeeping when required!
  3. We will just have to agree to differ on the impact of introducing a little additional capacity for a short period of time.
  4. The suggestion is only to utilise the West side on a very temporary basis to get a few more fans in while restrictions remain. That won't alter the status of the ground in any way.
  5. What a 'venomous" post. If we can recruit a locally based Premiershop quality player to our promotion campaign for next season I am sure that the vast majority of fans would welcome the post and get fully behind him.
  6. If both are prepared to sign within our wage structure they would each be very positive additions to the squad and our target of automatic promotion. If they have indeed had offers from us that shows a welcome and encouraging level of ambition.
  7. The first game back was against Dunfermline and, although there was a very decent crowd, it was nowhere close to being 'filled' He is not talking about spending money on permanently increasing the capacity but merely temporarily utilising the West side of the ground to get a few more in on a short term basis during these times of restricted numbers. In my view, a very sensible suggestion.
  8. The arrangement with The Blades had about as much substance as BJ's 'oven ready' Brexit deal.
  9. Maybe someone should remind the CEO that we don't have and have never had tiers in Scotland. More fundamentally if Hampden can operate in the next few days in Level 2 at 25% capacity, I would be very disappointed if the guidance doesn't allow us at least that proportion of fans if we are in Level 1 or below at the beginning of next season.
  10. Very good signing. If he can stay free of injury he would be an asset to any club at Championship level. Hopefully, the first of a series of positive announcements between now and the end of the month.
  11. The new head coach was confirmed less than a week ago. No need to panic just yet.
  12. Which is probably why nobody is blaming him for taking it.
  13. Can't blame him. A decent player for us but we have lost far better and more influential in the past and replaced them.
  14. Maybe he was learning how to erect a tent, tie knots, tighten a woggle and make fire by rubbing two sticks together.
  15. Agreed. If they don't work cooperatively together the system will soon break down.
  16. Not sure it is his fault that the club have not been sufficiently informative about player departures. Didnt see the interview but if he is giving the fans information about something we didnt know then, on balance, I see that as a positive thing.
  17. I agree. This is not a structure we have had at the club before but it works well for other teams. The important thing is that each party knows in advance what the role of the other is and respects those demarcation so that no tension and resentment arises from the perception, justified or otherwise, that one is intruding on the territory of the other. Best to have these things crystal clear, in writing if necessary, from the outset.
  18. I was not previously a big fan, quite the contrary. However, he seemed to do a very good job when he joined Neil McCann and, had he arrived earlier I suspect that we would have made the play offs. He has a good contact book, is well integrated and respected within the wider Scottish football industry and now has some knowledge of the club and how it works. All in all a good appointment and shows some ambition on the part of the club. It will be interesting to see whether his assistant is new to the club or promoted from our existing coaching staff Whichever, time to get behind the new man and for everyone from the chairman down to us humble fans to concentrate on making the new season our best for over half a decade.
  19. I think that would satisfy most fans but my question would be how much three, presumably reasonably substantial, salaries would eat into our player budget and our funds for youth development.
  20. If we are taking a little more time then so be it. I agree that it is important to make a quick appointment but it is even more important to get the appointment right.
  21. True. Shame on them.
  22. Who knows. Maybe in another six years we will be appearing in cup finals and competing in Europe once again. The good thing about being a football fan is that, no matter how disappointing the season that has gone before has been, we start each new season full of hope and optimism.
  23. It would be good for us but terrible for the integrity of the Highland League. If I was the director of a Highland League club I would be very firmly opposed.

Absolutely, were it not for being so prone to injury, he could have played at the top level and been a regular international player. If he is fit and wants to stay within our wage structure, I would have no hesitation in offering him another year and a thoroughly merited testimonial season.

Congratulations on reaching double figures for the number of times you have informed us that Aaron us your cousin 😁
