  2. As has been said many times before it would have veen perfectly legitimate for the club not to offer Wyness a new contract given that he's not had the best of seasons, it would also have been acceptable to ask him to prove himself to between now and the end ofthe season with a view to earning a new contract. What's not acceptable, on any view, is agreeing a contract unconditionally and then withdrawing it before it's signed. For what it's worth, a contract for services does not require to be in writing and it seems to me that if Wyness was offered terms for a further two years and that offer was withdrawn then he my well have recourse to the civil courts or an employment tribunal. Whatever anyone may think about the merits of offering Denzil a new two year contract and there are good arguments on both sides, what happened in fact is a disgrace.
  3. Whatever lingering doubts I had about Brewster's ability to manage have been dispelled by his disgraceful handling of Dennis Wyness's contract situation. The man does not possess the ability to manage.
  4. Don't be silly it's Clach we're talking about and a whole week had passed.
  5. Jailender, if these rumours are true, then our loss is your gain. You wouldn't like Brewster instead by any chance ?
  6. Another replay, just what Rangers would have wanted at this stage of the season !

  12. That would be a perfectly legitimate line to take if Dennis had been told that any new contract depended on how he played between now and the end of the season but not, as appears to be the case, if he had been offered a new contract unconditionally and that offer was withdrawn.
  13. I agree, it woudn't be astonishing to see Q.O.S. overturn Aberdeen.
  14. While I can' share Andrew's optimism, I do like this thread. A shaft of light penetrating the recent gloom !
  15. Not to mention Paul Sheerin !
  16. I'd prefer Bucharest Thistle Caledonian myself !
  17. If the fact of the matter is that Dennis Wyness is belatedly being asked to "earn" a contract which was previously offered unconditionally then that is a scandal and the person responsible is untrustworthy, dishonourable and utterly unprofessional. If that has indeed happened then Dennis should walk away with his dignity an reputation intact and not a single genuine fan of ICT would be critical of him for doing so. What on earth has happened to the successful tight knit club that we had forged on team spirit and common purpose ? By the way, I agree that the negative comments regarding Charles Bannerman are unnecessary and unjustified.
  18. A first division side turning over an SPL side in the Scottish Cup. Brings back happy memories !
