  1. Fir Park ? Let's hope it doesn't rain much before the weekend !
  2. Looks like they will survive until the Split.
  3. Not an April fool, there is a real prospect that Gretna will not be able to play saturday's fixture.
  4. Not for clubs trying to sustain full time football outwith the SPL.
  5. There is merit in giving Niculae the armband. He had one of his better performances yesterday. The captaincy might make hima little less selfish.
  6. I have no difficulty with using Hart while he is still contracted to ICT. For what it's worth, I thought he did well when he came on and I'm disappointed that he will not still be atthe TCS next season.
  7. Ihave to agree a win against Gretna in the current circumstances will not mean a great deal. Anything less than a win, omn the other hand, could and should have serious consequences.
  8. He wouldn't be my choice but I could live with Robbo as manager.
  9. Only if we remain in the same league as them.
  10. Saturday's game demonstrated more commitment and was more entertaining but an eleventh consecutive game without a win must be another nail in the manager's coffin.
  11. Prior to the match there had been ten games on the trot without a win and precious little entertainment. Although the Dons brought a very healthy support it appeared to me that their support was also down a bit on what they usually bring.
  12. Another poor performance in my view. Most of the football from both sides was of a very low standard. That said, there's no denying that the team appeared much more committed than of late and the match was entertaining for once. McGuire's performance was the worst defensive display I've seem in a long time although Grant Munro wasn't that much better. Thatsaid, the bare fact is that we've now gone 11 consecutive games without a win and were it not for Gretna's implosion would very probably be heading for relegation.
  13. I believe that the Waterboys are close to being tied up.
  14. They were, in my opinion the real question is why that's no longer the case.
  15. Between them Caley D and Scotty broadly reflect my own view. It's a pity that the ethos of the club has changed so much for the worse.
  16. There will certainly be no shortage of candidates.
  17. My mother, who attended Crown Primary had a slightly different version of the rhyme; "Academy rats take off your hats and bow to the Crown School scholars". As far as selection is concerned my late father, who was very intelligent but a late developer, harboured a resentment all his days that, having failed to get entry to IRA in first year the injustice, as he perecieved it, wasn't remedied in later years when he began to flourish. That would have been late 1940s.
