  1. When it comes to formerly close political allies falling out, this one now seems little more than a minor spat compared to Cummings v Johnson.
  2. Inverness Caleyclachthistle Disunited.
  3. Can Thistle get a new head coach too please?
  4. Agreed. I would be very happy to have a woman as head coach if she had talent and ability. However, appointing a woman with such a history of failure and mediocrity would be tokenism of the worst kind. I have no issue with her accent. I have considerable issue with her poor track record.
  5. Racist, sexist and not even a very good coach. County are welcome to him. As a family club, I would hope that we would have nothing to do with anyone with those attitudes.
  6. I entirely agree and, assuming it was the right person, it would be fantastic positive publicity for the club. However, I don't think that Shelley Kerr would be the right choice.
  7. A great credit to our youth coaches and the boys themselves. We have done all right over the years trawling the English lower leagues and non league for talent but, for all sorts of reasons, developing our own talent is by far the better option.
  8. I have a feeling that John Kennedy will be the new County manager. I have no idea who we will appoint but hoping to be enlightened by the end of this week. Important to get someone in place sooner rather than later to prepare for next season.
  9. No need to worry on that front. John Hughes didnt even wait until he parted company with the club before burning those bridges. He did that by picking a public argument with the board and the then chairman by arguing through his friends in the football media at a time when he had just been given a new contract making him the highest paid manager in our history armed with a player budget, by a considerable margin, the largest in our history, that he should be given yet more money that we didnt have.
  10. Congratulations to Dundee in surmounting the unlevel playing field of the Premiership play offs. However, those congratulations are extended with more than a tinge of what might have been had we only held on to our play off place. Dundee were no better than us over the course of the season and that Kilmarnock side were worse than the County team we comfortably dispatched in the cup.
  11. Extra time and, if still not resolved, penalties but, right now, Kilmarnock don't remotely look as though they can turn things around.
  12. Watching the second leg of the play off final. Great to see fans back in Scottish football grounds. Hopefully we can all experience that feeling for ourselves in normal numbers from the start of this season.
  13. Already being discussed in the 'Who Will Be Joining Us In The Championship' thread.
  14. It means that Roy Macgregor has decided that wherever Yogi goes 'exploring' next it won't be in the Easter Ross area.
  15. Maybe not. Inverness also has Inshes. Just not specified how many!
  16. Derek Adams leads Morecambe to the final of the English League 2 play off. An excellent incentive to support Newport County in that final.
  17. Hard to believe now that we were playing Brechin only four seasons ago in our first season back in the Championship. There fall since has been absolutely spectacular. Shame about Brora but good to see some new blood in the league in the shape of Kelty Hearts.
  18. You have a very odd definition of awash.
  19. A team with no bigger a fan base that ours from a city no longer than ours has comfortably remained in the Premiership and won both domestic cup tournaments. There is no reason to accept mid table Championship mediocrity.
  20. I have a feeling that we may be looking for a cheaper option.
  21. Peanut is an excellent coach. That is a good appointment for The Bairns
  22. But he has easily kept you in the EPL with one of the most limited budgets.
  23. The answer to that may well become clearer in the next week or so with the appointment of our new head coach. Get it right and there is no reason why we can't regain our place in the Premiership. Get it wrong and we could well find ourselves unchained from the Championship in a very different and much less palatable direction. A big and very important decision to be made very soon.
  24. Greater representation of Highland and Lowland League teams is most welcome. Reserve of Youth teams of Premiership clubs though should have no place in this tournament.
