  1. According to today's Press and Journal, Brewster has indicated that he's willing to listen to offers for Rankin during the January transfer window. A strange decision in my opinion. I know that we are over burdened with midfielders and that he hasn't featured much this season. I'm also aware that wages will have to be freed up to allow for us to bring in the experienced 'keeper and centre back(s) we clearly require but Rankin is a young man with an abundance of skill who is on a long term contract. I fear that if he's pushed out the door we may live to regret that decision.
  2. Been on the card since his dad was intumental in getting shot of **** Campbell.
  3. What an entertaining game. England were just not good enough to hold on for the draw even after being thrown the lifeline of the softest of penalties. Why do you think it was England didn't go on a lap of honour after coming so close to qualification :003: :003: ?
  4. We should be encouraging all fans both home and away. I see no difficulty in away fans using the service after all they are parting with ?20 which benifits the club every bit as much as admission money paid by home fans.
  5. Not the result I'm hoping for but I suspect England will win this one and qualify as group leaders. How long then before the pundits who were writing them off last week will be touting them as potential tournament winners ?
  6. Souness would be my last choice. Hopefully McLeish will stay but if not I would be keen to see Jim Jeffries in the post.
  7. I get the impression that the petition is probably the work of a ten year old. If the petitioner is much older than that he or she should feel every bit as embarrassed as the match officials.
  8. Dan, the fact that you can watch SPL football at all in Inverness is a great bonus for those of us brought up on a diet of Highland League fare supplemented by friendlies againt Old Firm XIs ond the odd run as far as the fourth round of the cup. Make the most of it. These are heady times for Inverness football fans.
  9. A close all betwen Alan Hutton and Scott Brown.
  10. Very poor show from the oficials which had it not been for the foul given against Hutton I would say were a series of very bad but honest mistakes largely evening themselves out. I can't, however, for the life of me, see how that last decision was anything other than corrupt the assistant referee had a close and clear view of Hutton, who was in control of th ball, being shoulder charged off his feet by the Italian player. How could he then indicate to the referee that the Free kickshould be awarded against Scotland ? Anyway, it was a valiant effort and pride has been restored in the national side. For the first time in a decade or so I feel optimistic about Sctland's immediate future.
  11. They still make lucky tatties but are no longer permitted to include the little toy on health and safety grounds. Apparently the fear is that some kid might choke to death on it despite there being no such misfortune during the many decades they did have contents.
  12. Sheffield Wednesday recent upturn in form seems to have coincided with their dropping Lee Bullen. At 36 I suspect he's too long in the tooth.
