Mac Donald is an exciting prospect who deserves an opportunity to show what e can do in the first team. The fact that he satisfies the under 21 rule will hopefully save him at least for now.

Proctor has done well. Stick with the man in possession as long as he's in form. Tokley is an ICT stalwart but he's let himself and the club down and not for the first time. I'm sure he'll return but Proctor has earned the right to retain his place for the time being.

Zibi can make breathtaking saves, his problem is that he's equally capable of breathtaking errors. I'd rather have a more consistent and dependable understudy to Michael Fraser.

I'm pleased to see that he's off to such a good start. He would have been my choice to succeed Charlie Christie. I think he's one of the best young managers in the business notwithstanding St Johnstone's iondifferent start to the season.

There might have been merit at th outset in calling the team Highland, like the rugby club, but he name Caledonian Thistle is now well entrenched in the national football consciousness and the geographical prefix merely indicates where we come from.
