  1. I'd hope that similar to Tade and Gillet's visits to secondary schools to help with teaching French; the club looks to our new Spanish goalie to complete similar PR/support in the classroom. It would also help his communication with our English/Scots defence as well I reckon.
  2. Still no idea on the team we put out; but worth noting that one of Brechin's goals was from yet another pen conceded...
  3. I'm actually in Maiori on the Amalfi coast in Italy, but trying to keep up on various twitter feeds!
  4. BC 0 v ICT 1 (G.Shinnie)
  5. The more I've thought about it today, I may have a solution (which will probably be laughed at). Similar to the way Aberdeen have repositioned Josh Magennis to a full back, I feel Shane Sutherland has potential to fill in at full back if necessary. He is decent in the air, good going forward and isn't that slow compared to much of the spl. I've no idea what his defensive experience or ability would be; but I'd be interested to see how he'd get on in the u20 league as a full back for a game or two...
  6. Who plays at LB if G.Shinnie gets injured?
  7. 3-1 Oswell
  8. Coventry miss pen (ex GerOldCo Fleck hits post). Is that two pens we've conceded in pre-season now? Both missed.
  9. I'm guessing Raven is CB with Cooper RB...
  10. Team lines... (i hope this link works) http://p.twimg.com/AyVLXWPCAAEsuw9.jpg:large

Jason Oswell I'm reckoning, since we don't really have any other forwards...
  13. Elgin City 0 - 1 ICT (Nick Ross)
  14. So another injury jinxed defender then...
  15. HT 0-0 - Caley Thistle with lots of pressure but trialist keeper Neil Duffy had a couple of fine saves in the 1st period so far (from Elgin City Twitter feed)
  16. Anyone know the team lineups? From the Elgin City feed, the only thing I can gather is that we've hit the post. Still 0-0.
  17. Well... time to (for now) forget about the terrible Chairman statement. Early team news from what I've gathered on Twitter is that Connor Pepper and OTJ aren't playing, in addition to the likely absent Raven and Warren. Looks like it'll be a young team on the pitch today!
  18. This has really put a dampner on the satisfaction felt over yesterday's decision for Sevco to be sent to SFL3. I had plans for today fall through, so was intending to head through to Elgin for the friendly. After this statement, I'm going to keep my money to myself instead. The ICT top packed for my fortnight in Italy has also been replaced with a Scotland top and the planned increase in £'s spent on matches/merchandise/ICT lottery has gone out of the window. Thoroughly miffed.

Oswell had one disallowed against Buckie at the weekend as well. Did quite well in his 45mins there; leading the line.

I'll guess that the positions will be... GK - Esson RB - Cooper LB - G.Shinnie CB - Warren CB - Meekings CM - Draper CM - Foran LM - Sutherland RM - Doran CF - McKay CF - A.Shinnie Cooper and Warren really impressed me at Buckie. Hopefully they continue their fine form tonight!

Any update on the line up?

Anyone planning on doing updates for tonight's game? http://www.inverness-courier.co.uk/Sport/Football/Butcher-eyes-new-Inverness-signings-09072012.htm The courier link is saying that the first team squad will be split between tonight and tomorrow to give everyone as close to 90mins as possible.
  23. Thunderton (Thunderdome/Thunderbum etc etc) is under new management and isn't as good as it used to be. They will be serving lunches pre match, so expect a family atmosphere where more people will be there to eat rather than drink. The Granary is about 20 yards away from the Thunderton and is indeed a chain pub. Again at that time of the day it will be families in here having lunch and like the Smith and Jones pub is overpriced and devoid of character. I'm still dithering on whether to head through, but the pubs I'd visit would be the Wetherspoons (Muckle Cross) as it's cheap and has a good choice of continental and local ales. Note* stay away from the Ionic across the road... I'd then either head straight to the Elgin City Social club in the stadium or have a quick visit to the White Horse on the high street for a game of darts, pool and £1 in the surprisingly good jukebox. The Vic is also good for real ales usually, so that'd be a post match visit; before heading to home.
  24. Even by his own admission he was absolutely woeful yesterday. Totally off the pace, misplacing passes almost every time and missing tackles regularly.
