Apparently Aberdeen played the Imperial March from Star Wars when Rangers came back out at half time last weekend :015:
  2. Its released on June the 14th, with the first SPL game taking place on Aug 4th
  3. Any games confirmed yet?? I seem to remember someone saying there was a game v. Inverurie Locos and another Highland League team.
  4. Pretty sure the right back was Mark Wilson. Today's final makes me a little sick, considering we were so close to beating Celtic :029:
  5. Mine would have to be Rankin's against Rangers.... Mainly because i was in Elgin watching it in the pub, surrounded by Rangers fans... was so sweet when that hit the back of the net. Can't believe i never got a hiding that night!! What especially made it sweet was that i had 18 stitches taken out of my head that morning, 14 days after a near fatal crash. My broken ribs also didn't get much of a rest when the ball hit the back of the net. The night out after the game was also brilliant, despite the fact i had to hide the fact i had a ICT top on :015: 2nd best night of my life after the Scotland v. France game :crazy07:
  6. Not as many as i had hoped, mostly because of work and touring with the band. Went to: (H) v. Sheffield United 1-3 (A) v. Elgin City 0-2 ?? (H) v. St Mirren 1-2 (H) v. Dunfermline 1-0 (A) v. Aberdeen 1-1 (A) v. Aberdeen 1-1 (A) v. Celtic 3-0 (H) v. Hearts 0-0 So 8 then. Hoping to go to more than 10 next season.
  7. What about putting a TV or two in the main stand next to the pie counters, much like the aberdeen home end, as they will show the game so you won't miss anything. Might encourage more people to buy food from the stalls there. In terms of a big screen, there will never be a need for one at our stadium i feel. They are quite good at bigger stadiums though- when i saw AIK Stockhom v. Helsingbourgs last year, the big screen showed instant replays of all the key events, seconds after they happened. Incredible stuff. Whereas the Parkheeed tv's are just there to sell more crap to the mindless green army.
  8. My radio connection was lost for the 45 secs where we scored :008: I take it was a goal from a corner, not a mazy run from his own half. St Mirren have just had 2 huge chances :029:
  9. Scott Wilson is definitely out for Dunfermline after his appeal over his :33: failed. Pretty good news i'd say.
  10. .... as scouts. here Please let me be the first to post this story!! :crazy07:
  11. A bit OTT, but i like the enthusiasm!! Definitely blood some youth in on saturday, whether it be a starting place or a 25 min subs appearance.
  12. Thats the exact line up i would like to see. However, i feel that McBain will play ahead of Markus & Duncan ahead of Blackie :( I'll be listening to the game in Aberdeen online, so will have to rely on Brian Irvine's "expert" opinion on ICT's performances... I have a funny feeling Rankin will be benched for this game as well :024:

This obvious loan move would be to Elgin or Ross County, either of which i think would benefit the boy. However, with this under 21 players in the squad rule, he might be resigned to another season of coming on from the bench. If he started banging in some goals (all be it against lesser opposition), his confidence would improve, something that most people here have commented upon. It'll also give him the chance to see what happens to those players who have fallen from grace, or not quite made the grade: e.g. John Paul Mcbride from Celtic to released from a 3rd division SFL team within 5/6years. Hopefully he is taking the chance to do extra training with some of the other lads that take part, i.e. Rankin, Markus & Bazza etc.
  14. Both have recently signed new contracts at Dunfermline i believe. There would be bigger clubs than us interested in Scott Wilson, and i don't see why we should be thinking about wife beaters like McGuire.

Read yesterday in the paper that he pulled out of the Scotland Under 20 squad for last nights game.... ... then saw him in Sainsburys in Aberdeen after i finished work. Hmm....
  16. Can anyone confirm if mark brown lifted the trophy last weekend when celebrating with the Celtic players? Heard a rumour he did, but looked thoroughly embarrassed about it all. He still hasn't played a game for them has he?
  17. After seeing Richard Offiong's screamer against St Johnstone on North Tonight, i think we should have another look at him! It was rumoured in the papers a couple of months ago that we were keeping tabs on him, with John Robertson alerting us whilst he was at Livi.
  18. Inverness are without Ross Tokely and Barry Wilson for the match at Dundee United as the pair each serve their second games of two-match bans. However midfielder Ian Black is available after completing a three-game ban. Manager Charlie Christie has a couple of players struggling with knocks, but has opted not to identify them. Caley (from): Fraser, Dods, Hastings, Rankin, Duncan, McAllister, Bayne, McSwegan, McCaffrey, Dargo, Munro, Hart, Paatelainen, Ridgers, Sutherland, Soane, McBain, Wood, Black. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ United, who are without suspended midfielder Mark Kerr, have worries over the fitness of youngsters David Robertson, Morgaro Gomis and Greg Cameron. With captain Barry Robson walking a four-game suspension tightrope, manager Craig Levein had hoped to keep him in cold storage, but his hand may be forced. He said: "Mark Kerr is definitely out because of his suspension and it is a case of wait and see with the rest. "David Robertson hurt his ribs and played through the pain barrier against Dunfermline but he's not trained this week. "Morgaro is in the same situation with his groin injury but, to be honest, this kind of thing is normal at this stage of the season because people do pick up knocks. "Greg has a hernia and he might need an operation on it, although that's just a possibility at this stage because we'll monitor him and see how it does first. "That means I'll have a decision to make over Barry, although if even one of them doesn't make it he'll have to play because we'll need him to."
  19. Are there supporters buses heading to this game, that would be ok for two non-members to tag along? Not definite if i'd be going yet, but 75% sure i am. Can you drink on these buses?? That'd be a deciding factor i think :023:

    want away dargo?

I think he'd be nothing more than a squad player/backup player at Sheffield United, but it is possible considering our "links" with them. Perhaps we'll get one of their wonderkids next season :023:
  22. That would've been great, but i've now got the offer of staying over on the fri and saturday night, so will head down on the fri night now i think. Is there a pub that everyone will be meeting up in before the game?
  23. He was pumping a girl from Elgin for a while :023: She was the year above me at school
  24. Which could mean us having a look at some of their younger centre halfs... Scott Cuthbert seems to be a great prospect :024:
  25. Business Studies Secondary School Teacher in Aberdeen, who has too many free periods in the week to scan the internet for football news :023:
