MERGED: Rooney Transfer ???
Considering Sol Bamba (with 6months left on contract) went for ?250k, I'd like to think Rooney's value is similar

New faces in January...
What's happened to Morrison lately? Has he been injured? I imagine he could go out on loan again, similar to his stint at Elgin City last season...

Inverness CT v Elgin City - Tickets
...and with today's result I imagine we can expect another hundred or so Elgin City fans (to their estimate of 600-1200), who will make the trip through with optimism of sneaking a win. I had thought this would be a good chance to rest players, but it could now be seen as a chance for first teamers to rediscover their form!? We've not been scoring and we've been conceding quite a few, despite the best efforts of Esson.

St Johnstone -V- ICT : Matchday Thread
I'd love to see Sanchez on for Eric... but I very much doubt it will happen

St Johnstone -V- ICT : Matchday Thread
I imagine our best hopes of scoring are Gil free kicks into the height of Innes, Munro and Tokely. Despite not doing much in open play in pre-season games I saw, Gil's delivery of a dead ball were top notch. I still don't fancy our chances much today, reflected by a £15 St Johnstone -1 bet;, but I'd gladly swap any potential winnings for 3 points today...

Sanchez
Perhaps Sanchez was allowed to travel back to Spain for xmas/just before xmas? Which meant he hadn't had the same level of training and preparation as the other lads...? Could be a factor behind not getting a nod. Either way, I reckon he'll get a start v. Elgin; along with Gil and maybe Sutherland leading the line. A subs appearance before then is overdue though.

Team for Killie
TB himself said the young lads and Esson were the only good performers on Sunday. I'd like Sutherland to start again.
-
Team for Killie
Quite glad to read about kilmarnock's apparent goalkeeping crisis, but I remember having similar thoughts ahead of a Georgia 2 - 0 win over Scotland; when they gave a 17 year old his first cap in goals. I have no idea what to expect after watching Sunday's game. But i'd like to see us go with a simple 4-4-2 formation and use the youth/drive of Sutherland and Ross on either wing, feeding Foran and Rooney up front.

Are they joining with these other players?:

Snow Alert
Not that bad at all. Everyone was fairly sensible and kept their distances in case of a need for sharp breaking. Between 40 and 55mph was the norm all the way from Aberdeen, which meant a 2hr journey to Elgin.

Snow Alert
Well that's me safely back at the folks in Elgin, with full intentions to head through to Inverness on Sunday. The roads from Aberdeen were pretty good, as long as you stayed at a sensible 50mphish. Looking forward to any updates on the game on/off status. I see Killie v. Hearts is called off... Has the pitch been cleared? Is there any more snow forecast?
-
Team for St Midden
That'd be the team I'd pick but I reckon TB will pick Eric ahead of Danny, as he's started more games and grabbed some important goals. Danny might come on second half as a sub I reckon like the Hibs game

Snow Alert
How's the pitch looking? Game on?

St Mirren roll call
The game where we were two to the good in ten minutes? That'll be the one that I turned up 11 minutes after kickoff and didn't know we were winning until half time As I'll be too hungover to drive and trains aren't running (?) I'll be going along to Elgin City v. Clyde. See what our upcoming Scottish Cup opposition are like this season. Well that's the Elgin City game cancelled because of snow, so it now looks like I will make the jaunt through to Inverness

Inverness CT v Elgin City - Tickets
Was thinking the other day about possible lineups for this game, to try and rest some of our first teamers; who have played nearly every game this season! A fringe 11 could be: -------------Tuffey--------------- McCann*---Innes-----Munro©----Golabek Sanchez---Morrison--McBain----Gil -------Sutherland----Odi-------- * If still on loan I'd imagine though that there wouldn't be too many changes from the first 11 team, as Terry won't be taking Elgin lightly. When is the transfer window open? If Terry manages to get some of his (already identified) targets in, then they could come into reckoning.

Ipswich's form
ABSOLUTELY MENTAL weather in the Ipswich v. Leicester match just now; really can't believe they are playing this game, as you can't see a blade of grass from the snow. It doesn't look like letting up either! The good news for Roy Keane and us is that they are winning 3-0 with 30 mins to go. That should take some heat off Keane for now

Graham Bayne
Which strikers (past and present) would you have loved to play alongside? Who was the toughest defender(s) you've been up against?
-
Inverness CT v Elgin City - Tickets
I've got a lot of family and friends in Elgin wanting to know the same thing. I would've thought it'd be announced by now; since there's been stories in the papers about Rangers v Killie pricing problems
