  1. The players were awesome in the first half and obviously had a game plan set out and stuck to it. However at half time Butcher should of known what to expect from Scumdee, especially when 2,500 ICT fans knew what was coming, and should have lined the team up to deal with this. Did he do that? No. Instead Sanchez is taking off even though he was arguably the best player on the park, and we sit back and allow them to keep coming at us, inevitably conceding 3 goals. Then Imrie and Odhiambo are left on the bench far too long for them to have any impact on the game, and the cup which was ours for the taking is snatched from our grasp. Okay it's harsh just to blame Butcher, as the players needed to get the finger out after the interval, and if not then, then definitely after the equaliser, and they never did. But some of the reasoning as to why we lost from such a strong position has to be ointed at his tactics from 45 minutes onwards. What else could he have done? How should he have lined the team up then?
  2. What happened to our game plan? All TB had to say to our lot was - This is great lads - just give me another 45 minutes of this and the cup's in the bag. Instead the man with the non-Midas touch decides to take off Sanchez - who was having the game of his life, and replaced him with a player who contributed next to nothing. His next master plan was to waste a couple of minutes at the end by bringing on a couple of subs in the 90th minute.... FFS you do that when your winning not when you're losing. Only thing I could give TB any credit for just now would be the signing of Foran and Hayes. I actually believe we've got a squad of players here who could get us back into the SFL - we won't come anywhere near that as long our master tactician extraordinaire remains in charge. H/Dee - maybe catch you in the Fluke for a pint one night this week? Same old same old. Another poor performance and most of yous blame butcher. When are you going to start questioning the players for these displays. I dont think it had anything to do with tactics yesterday. It was down to a severe lack of fight. We all knew that dundee would come at us in the 2nd half and when they got their first goal, we needed our players to stand up and be counted and fight. But instead we collapsed. The players didnt want it as much as dundee did. It was exactly the same in our two derbys this season. There is no leader on the park. There is no one there to drive the players on. Grant munro gets so much praise but he is certainly not a captain. Foran is a quality player but he needs to be a bigger character in the team. When things go against him his head goes down. I wonder what a bobby mann or a paul cherry would have made of this team. I agree with you. We do have a squad capable of getting us to the SPL, the 1st half more than proved that, but im just worried that the players lack heart and desire when the chips are down. Stop blaming butcher and start looking at the players

  7. How much longer do you give him? Its just chance after chance after chance. He is a striker. Its his job to score goals. He doesnt do that. You could argue that he doesnt get a lot of time on the park but its enough time to get all these chances that we are always talking about. He would get in the team all the time if he scored them all. Its simple but he doesnt. At the end of the day we would have won the game yesterday if he had took his chance. Good strikers finish important chances. Good strikers only need one chance. Rooney is not a good striker
  8. The players are far to nervous to play any sort of football at home. Each game starts and the minute someone makes a mistake or a misplaced pass you can feel the tension all around the ground. Instantly that affects the team and then we start getting this long ball stuff basically because no one wants to make a mistake. Lost count the number of times yesterday where the defence just pumped the ball long instead of playing it through the middle. I think thats our biggest problem. We constantly bypass the midfield. We dont seem to have a player in the middle that wants to take responsibility, drop off, demand the ball, get it on the deck and play the game. There is no one there who seems to want to make something happen, no one there to take the ball and make passes. Cox has got a lot of ability and got so much potential. Unlike others i actually like stratford and think he will come on to a game. We've got experience in duncan and its clear to see on yesterdays evidence that mcbain should be playing more often. But until our midfield stand up and be counted then i think we will continue to struggle at home

  13. Just calling it like I see it. We do not have the quality to mount a title challenge. It really is as simple as that. We have a handful of very good players, who we are frankly lucky to have. What about my second paragraph? I make no secret of the fact that I think the current board and Sutherland are... well - "not good for the club" I'll say. The problems are there for all to see, it's just a case of doing a little digging. Season ticket holder in the North Stand thank you very much. I go to the football because I support my local team. Tell me something, why do you wear rose tinted spectacles to the games?... Rose tinted Spectacles? Dont believe ive made any comments about the performances being good. I know they havent been the best. But as i said earlier couldnt care less about the performance yesterday. We were playing our biggest rivals in a cup semi after a bad run of results. The result was the main thing. Thats all I care about when we play them in a derby. In terms of the rest of the season, performances have been up and down yes. But certain games like dundee and motherwell have proved that the ability is there. You take the rough with the smooth. Thats what you do as a supporter, thats the joy of it. I love nothing better than following and getting behind my team home and away whatever league their in or whatever run of form their in. You however would rather come out with a rake of sh**e negative comments. Thats not supporting your team
  14. Deflect deflect deflect! Butcher has built a team with what little resources he has been provided. For that, he is to be commended. The way things stand (bearing in mind they have had two whole months to gel as a team - more than enough time in my opinion) we will not be getting promoted at the end of this season. The only thing that will change that is if Sutherland get's off his arse and opens the purse strings for Butcher. There are the facts, I will leave you to figure out whether someone of "my mentality" can get behind a team that is so poorly looked upon by those who run it. How can anyone say after 2months that we don't have a chance of promotion is beyond me. No team is yet running away with this league so of course we still have a chance. As for the team to gel in two months, sometimes it has, other times it has not but that is because they arte still getting to know each other. With so many new players, it will take longer than two months for the team to fully gel but it's getting there in certain areas. As for your second paragraph, what exactly are you trying to say. The Board have not exactly come out of this smelling of roses but that has nothing to do with the volume of negative posts continually being posted. Quite right.

Why do you go to games then if you feel this way? Or do you even bother your arse to go?
  16. Wow. Just... wow... The only disgrace at our club is the way we are playing. Until that changes for the better then as far as I'm concerned you can keep getting "really f**ked off". The way we are playing?!!! When was the last time there was this many changes to the team and squad? Its still early days. We've only played 7 games. He is trying to build a team. Why dont you do what a supporter is supposed to do and get behind the team? Or can someone of your mentality not do that?
  17. Some of you posters on this thread are an absolute f***ing disgrace. You call yourselves supporters but your just a massive joke! Fair enough we didnt have the best of games but can you not just be happy that our team have beaten our local rivals in a semi final to reach the final? Personally im delighted we got one over them. Couldnt care less about the performance. But you lot just want to slate them. Its disgusting. And the worst thing is you will all be down at the final larging it if we win the thing. Really f**ks me off. Get a grip and start getting behind YOUR team.

  20. Wasting time? This game on sunday is massive. After the last performance against them this game means so much to the players and supporters. I couldnt take another defeat aginst them. It would be such a boost to get a win and would give us something to build on for the queens game. Would hate to think what another home defeat(especially against THEM!) would do to our confidence.
