Milestones & Memories
When you pre-ordered, did you do so on-line? If so you, should have got a prompt email from PayPal to confirm your purchase. That confirms not just your payment but the details of the order. If you haven't received a recent email from the Club to confirm your order is complete, then make sure you have a copy of the PayPal email with you when you go to the club shop. I sorted through all the books Ian had signed / dedicated to get them in alphabetical order for collection, so if you would like to PM me with your name I can check that you are on the list and that there is a book waiting for you.

Milestones & Memories
The book is going on general sale on Wednesday. Details here Everyone who pre-ordered a copy should have received an email to say their order is complete and either in the post or ready for collection from the club shop. I will check with the club that this is the case. If you haven't received an email then I suggest you contact the club shop on Monday - but please check your junk box first!

Hearts (A) 7 November 2020 - Matchday & Streaming Info
I wonder what, if any, market research they have done on this? I would think that more than half the people who would pay to watch at £10 will not watch at £18.50. But no doubt a percentage or a fixed sum from each viewer will go to other stakeholders, so maybe Hearts will make more money than if they charged less. Not good for the fans though.

Milestones & Memories
That's good to hear. The plan is that everyone who supported the fundraising campaign by pre-ordering copies will have the opportunity of getting their copies before they go on general sale. Those who ordered for books to be posted should be receiving their copies soon. These are going out in 2 batches and the 2nd lot are not yet ready for dispatch, so even though The Mantis has his copy, don't panic if yours doesn't arrive for a few days. Those who ordered for picking copies up from the stadium should be getting emails to say their copy is ready for collection. Given the vital importance of keeping the stadium, Covid secure, please don't go to the stadium until you have confirmation your copies are ready for collection. All pre-ordered copies have been signed by the author and with dedications for those who so requested. The club will issue details of the launch for general sale in due course.

Disappointed and disgusted
Izzy, as I understand it, you registered on the site and then, when logged in, inputted your code in the appropriate box in the "active subscriptions" section. Then, when you logged in on the match days, you were unable to access the match and you were told you did not have a subscription. Following that, you have tried to activate the subscription again by putting in your personal code, but you get a message saying that code has already been redeemed. Is that correct? A problem here is that neither when you register, nor when you activate your subscription does the SPFL system send a confirmatory email and therefore we have no proof that we have done these actions correctly. However, all is not lost! Have you saved the email you got from the club giving you your personal subscription code? If not you should be able to retrieve it from your deleted emails. It was sent out on 21/10. I would suggest you forward a copy of that email to [email protected] as it proves the email address that subscription code should be linked to is yours. If the code has been redeemed, but you can't use the subscription when you log in with the same email address that the email with the code from the club was sent to, then this would prove there is a problem at their end which they need to sort.

2020-21 Scottish Cup
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/54708413 This suggests that Highland and Moray may well be put into the new level 1, in which case fans could be allowed back in the grounds as soon as next week! I'll believe it when I see it. No doubt the SPFL will be arguing for fans in all grounds or in none due to the unfair advantage gained by teams with fans.

I've been in touch with the club this morning and emails will be sent out from today. I'm not sure whether that means everyone will receive them today but it is in hand. It's important to note that before season ticket holders can use their code, they have to sign up with the streaming company. Best to do that as soon after getting the email as possible in case of any problems, and not waiting till 5 minutes before kick off!

Dunfermline (A) 17 October 2020 - Build Up and Streaming Info
It is a concern. 3 competitive matches and in each of them we have had one of our forwards needing to be subbed in the first half because of injury. That is unusual to say the least. It may be a reflection of the long lay off and a very short pre-season with our guys being amongst the last to come back off furlough. They may well have been keeping themselves fit, but there is a difference between general physical fitness and football fitness. Hopefully there is nothing serious and they and the players who have yet to feature will be back soon. If we are going to feature at the right end of the table at the end of the season we need to stay relatively injury free.

The season ahead
The game tonight was a really good advertisement for the Championship with some terrific goals from both sides. On that form, Hearts are going to run away with the league. Dundee may have got a gubbing but that was more to do with Hearts' very clinical finishing. Dundee scored 2 very good goals and had other decent efforts. If they can tighten up defensively they will be very much in the mix at the end of the season. Without Doran, Carson, Storey or Kennedy available for our opener, we will do very well to get anything out of the game. The number of pre-season injuries is really pretty alarming and we need players up to match fitness and to stay injury free if we are to reach the play offs. This will be a difficult season for us in so many ways. Hopefully Togetherness will see us through.

It's all a nightmare for the club. There is a considerable amount of extra expense involved and yet the club is expected to go about its business when paying customers who account for a majority of the club's income are not allowed into the ground. The club has gone to the expense of ensuring the showers comply with the social distancing requirements but then get told that it is not considered safe to use the showers in any case. It is desperately frustrating for all involved, but regardless of whether or not some of the ever changing requirements make sense to us or not, the club needs to comply with them and needs our understanding and patience.

Milestones & Memories
Just to let everyone know that final updates to the book have been made, proofs approved and the order placed and paid for. It is now up to the printers to do their stuff and the books should be with the Club within a few weeks. I am sure that when fans read the book, they will agree it has been worth waiting for. But publishing the book would not have been possible without everyone who has pre-ordered copies, bought advertising and made donations. Ian Broadfoot, the Club and the Supporters Trust are extremely grateful to all of you who have made it possible to get "Milestones and Memories" to print. Unfortunately, the virus means that we will not be able to have the kind of launch we had originally envisaged. But we are discussing with the club how best to launch the book and will update you with news of that when we can. The option to pre-order books remains available on the on-line shop. All books pre-ordered will be signed by Ian with a dedication if you wish. So if you haven't ordered yet but would like a signed copy, click here.

ICTFC Squad Update 21/22/23/
Not at all. They were all tested when the squad first met up and he was negative. They all got tested again today prior to a 2nd match on Sunday but Stark's test came back positive.

Hearts League Cup
Very decent performance in the circumstances. Much to be encouraged about. The downside is the way that football and footballers are being treated by the powers that be. The ruling that despite all the close physical contact during the game you can't have a much needed, socially distanced shower after the game is absolutely outrageous.

And so it begins.....
Well done to Nairn for really good quality feed. Good to see some live football at last and interesting to see how the new and young players got on. The scoreline says a lot more about Nairn's defence than our attack, but an encouraging workout nonetheless. Robbie Deas didn't have much to do for the short period he was on the park but I think he looks the business.

The season ahead
Even with no restrictions, there would be a good number of folk who would not feel safe attending and therefore crowd numbers and gate receipts would be down. But obviously there will be restrictions on numbers whenever fans are allowed to come back and therefore any likely scenario is certain to see a major drop in income for the club. Sponsorship money is also likely to be down as local businesses struggle to keep afloat. We are being told that the main cause of spread of the virus is having people in each others houses. This is because in the home environment there is not good ventilation and people do not follow the same hygiene, cleaning and social distancing practices which the indoor hospitality sector has to follow. It seems to me that in an outdoor environment of a football stadium where there is socially distanced seating, people are required to wear a face covering and there is controlled admission and exit procedures, the risk of transmission is pretty low and probably lower than in pubs and restaurants. Unless the Governments have evidence that the pilot games for allowing fans to attend has led to virus transmission, then it seems a bit perverse to put the pilot programme on hold. Surely it makes more sense to continue with the pilots in order to get firm evidence of whether allowing limited numbers of fans into grounds leads to virus transmission or not. If it doesn't, then fans could be allowed in more generally and further pilot programmes could then look at the impact of larger numbers being allowed in. It is likely that some clubs are not going to survive this crisis. If there is a prolonged delay in getting fans back into grounds then the impact on Scottish football could be catastrophic. When governments are telling us they are trying to get the economy moving again, they need to explain why they seem hell bent on preventing football clubs from generating any income.

I think what the County fans who were at the game found most difficult was not being able to leave before the end of the game.
