  1. Fantastic performance today against a poor Cove Rangers outfit( might be we made them look that way). Bray was fantastic throughout and a real threat , really sad we will lose him, but wish him all the best. Although results went our way today, I have no doubt we have the players in our team to get ourselves where we need to be.
  2. Hi All I purchased an adult ticket and a kids ticket for away end, but due to a change in my son’s schedule I can no longer go. Happy for someone else to get the use of the tickets. Please let me know.
  3. Having got home and had time to reflect. £200k, £2m, £2.50. The value is irrelevant, you can’t buy desire and a will to win. We just don’t have either.
  4. Heartbroken and Embarrassed. A totally broken club
  5. I was replying to the get real part of your quote. answer my question, are you happy with a point today? Ferguson is manager by default because we can’t afford to pay him off. Added to my earlier points, everyone back at corners, especially when we had a man extra, would love to know the thinking behind that. Good opportunity to spring a counter one would think. fwiw, this is not exaggerating anything, these are the facts as they occurred today. He was a big part of what got us relegated, spent what little money we had this year on a below average left back (and his own son) while alienating our better youth players. The list is endless.
  6. Should we happy that our full time team managed to prize a 1-1 draw away from the plucky part timers of Montrose?(who played with 10 for 45 mins) This was reality. Will do nothing with Ferguson at the helm.
  7. Can’t fault the team for effort, but tactically we are going to struggle under Ferguson. So pedestrian in the transition from defence to attack, allowing Montrose to organise themselves adequately prior to us finally getting into their final third. After sending off, we kept a back four against their one striker, and never once considered changing shape to really go for it. Had a fair few efforts on goal (especially from outside the box) but we didn’t carve them open nearly often enough. A disappointing draw in the end
  8. Just finished listening to TWS 136 miles from home. Firstly, fair play to Ross Morrison for coming out and speaking to the fans. Irrespective of what we made of what he said, plenty of folk would have remained hidden. A couple of things sprung to mind in all the financial turmoil he described; 1. Who decided to give Duncan Ferguson a 3 year deal? 2. Who decided that when the costs of digs was so expensive, that we should sign a huge number of loan players and add to that cost? Given the board watched the turgid football we played last year and have now confirmed that Duncan Ferguson is manager for next season, and given everything else that has happened, how are we going to entice any fans to get back to the ground? Congrats to the guys at TWS for keeping it calm and civil.
  9. The article just highlights the delusion of those involved. My love of ICTFC comes from when I stayed in Balloch in the 1970s as a child until I was 8 years old. At that point we could only dream of our local team being in the Scottish League, never mind winning the Scottish Cup, and playing in Europe. Couldn’t believe I have seen an Inverness team achieve that in my lifetime. Fast forward now, and the decision to leave our home (whether it’s ‘just’ training or not)erode the reason I kept supporting MY Inverness team, and no reason remains. All affinity ripped and the link to my happy childhood in Balloch gone. I do feel betrayed. Thank you Mr Morrison and Mr Gardiner.
  10. I think you are 100% right Charles, but if this goes ahead it’s the beginning of the end for the future of Senior League football in Inverness (for the time being anyway)
  11. But they are our kids, schooled in our City and at our club. Would rather watch a poor local team than what in essence is a Fife Franchise. The other teams systems we plundered in January weren’t great and have put us where we are now.
  12. What an utter disgrace. How many years were spent trying to get a team from Inverness into the League? Then these morons come along and with one signature take football in the highlands back to the Stone Ages. Embarrassed is an under statement.
  13. Honestly, if we are happy trying to stay up in this way, it is an acceptance of how far we have dropped our standards. if we lose the first goal, we are beaten, simple as that. And to think how a bad referee decision can change things (early red card/penalty) to go with this mentality won’t help us. we should expect better
  14. Turgid!!!!! Look like we wanted the win handed to us, no urgency, no desire to put a team (believe it or not, who were worse than us) to the sword. Got to want to stay in the League, absolutely embarrassing.
  15. Think it’s a bit early to get rid of Duncan, but would be good to know who drove the January changes. Could field 2 defences now, but not one competent attacking unit. Bigger worry for me is we have half a dozen loanees who don’t care what happens to us end of season as they will return to their parent clubs irrespective the outcome, just seems a hap hazard approach IMO.
  16. That was a fairly depressing watch. As many have eluded to, having possession is all very well but there has to be an end product. When we break forward there is little or no pace involved, giving the opposition plenty of time to get back and reorganised, and I just can’t see anyone in our current squad who is going to create anything. Strange decision changing two central defenders when we need to chase a cup game (know this has been used to good effect previously), and as for Pepple, he gave the impression he wasn’t remotely interested once he came on. Hopefully he is just getting up to speed, but personally I have my doubts. We need to improve dramatically in the final third, but hard to see what with.
  17. Absolutely nothing in the final third. defensively a lot better (goal apart) but created nothing. Worrying times.
  18. Given Scott Brown couldn’t settle in Aberdeen, I have my doubts he would settle in Inverness. Not the way we should go IMO, but what do I know.
  19. The fact the season is a month old and we have not signed any kind of centre back speaks volumes for the management. Surely they know we need at least one CB. They probably knew Deas was leaving at turn of the year and have clearly been inept at sourcing a replacement, or even worse not thinking we may need one. Worrying times.
  20. Brilliant outcome to another inept Willie Collum showing. Defended brilliantly and whilst we didn’t do enough to win it in 120minutes, same can be said of Arbroath. Couple of points re the Young fans behind the goal, your support of the team was magnificent and really helps, but please stop with the throwing things onto the pitch, what on earth do you get from it? All that happens is the club get fined, and to be honest I cringe at that behaviour, and like to think we are better than that as a club. Really unnecessary.
  21. He was the one plus for me. Looked quite accomplished, but got little hep from those around him.
  22. Can’t believe we have wasted part of our budget on Broadfoot and Gardyne. Both hopeless. Would have preferred to give our kids a game, couldn’t be any worse. Drapes played centre half for Cove and probably didn’t need to go for a shower afterwards. Communicated to his fellow defenders throughout, something Broadfoot seems incapable of. Not sure what he brings to our club.
  23. Worst performance I can recall. Outdone for desire, fitness, quality. All by a part time team. Pretty shameful
  24. a game with very little in it, and always likely to be decided by a mistake. Our final ball into their box was dreadful, and always ended up behind our strikers. Expect Sunday to be another tight affair, as really nothing between the teams.
