  1. Was it Arsenal that tried that approach a few years ago? Biggest penalty fail of all time!
  2. Only this week Vincent said: "the main focus is just to get back on the pitch, get playing and once that settles down then sort out my contract situation. For me it’s just all about playing again and getting back in the starting line-up. It’s always nice to be linked with other clubs, but I just want to focus on getting back on the pitch."
  3. 1 goal from 12 games - I don't think Cluj will be difficult to deal with.
  4. The legend! He's 35 now and Saints will be the 17th club he's played for.
  5. Slovakian international Klechova has signed for Inverness.......Ladies. She's the partner of County's Kiss.
  6. In the 2011 Copa America, Brazil missed all 4 that they took, losing the shoot-out 2-0 to Paraguay.
  7. We were unbeaten whenever he played! 2 sub appearances in the SPL, a win and a draw. Total playing time: 6 minutes.
  8. Kyle Allison had a 100% clean sheet record for us! Played in challenge cup tie v Annan in 2009, which we won 4-0 despite having Stratford and Eagle in midfield. And funny as it seems now, Graeme Shinnie was only on the bench because Lionel Djebi-Zadi was preferred at left back.
  9. Trialist called Michael Barnes. Wasn't signed in case he scared the fans away. There are plenty more gems like him if you dig out last year's thread called "They came on trial"
  10. ......and 1 training ground bust-up.
  11. 0 starts, 10 off the bench, 0 goals.
  12. If I can amend the question slightly to ICT players who never got a start, then I think Agdestein must have set a club record for the most appearances without ever having started a game. 16 appearances, all off the bench.
  13. And it is what caused Elgin to be stripped of the Highland League title in 1993. Hearts have known since October that the game v St Mirren would have to be rescheduled. And all of a sudden it gets rescheduled with only 1 weeks notice. It stinks. If I could think of something Hearts could be stripped of I'd demand that they be stripped of it.
  14. Good - but Hearts would no doubt put in yet another request for special treatment!
  15. So can they come out of administration in the next week or so, bring in Hartley as manager (no compensation needed) who then signs Skacel and a load of other free agents before the semi?
  16. This explains why Hearts didn't appeal the red card......

  18. Paul McMullan - signed from Hearts (where he had made 20 or so appearances) by Robbo for our first SPL season. Went on to have a short spell in Australia and various clubs in the Scottish lower leagues.
  19. I think he only played some pre-season and then got a bad injury.
  20. Glasgow to Forfar is only 2 hours by coach. From their hotel in Carnoustie to Forfar is 45 minutes. So they paid for the squad, coaches etc to stay in a 4 star hotel in order to save 75 minutes travel. Understandable perhaps if it was a 10am kick-off, but for an evening match?!
  21. Found the BBC match report. No detail on substitutions unfortunately, but if there was a red card or anything unusual I'm sure they'd have mentioned it. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/scot_div_1/3142247.stm
  22. I think you are right there, but CTO's stats section says that he made 1 appearance off the bench - supposedly coming on during a Challenge Cup win at Peterhead in 2003, to replace....David Bingham! Shome mishtake shurely.
  23. Aye, The Sun report that Adam Rooney is wanted by 7 Scottish clubs - Aberdeen (favourites), Hibs, Dundee Utd, Killie, St J, St M and County. I also noticed while reading my daily copy of the Swindon Advertiser over breakfast that Rooney is still involved in a legal action against Swindon Town. "Rooney’s representatives came to an agreement with the board of former owner Andrew Black back in August 2012 which ensured the forward’s loan move from Birmingham would lead to a permanent contract last August, only for Town to renege on the deal as they suggested the paperwork was not legitimate."
  24. He did make one appearance for us (sub in the league cup) so doesn't quite meet Ren's criteria. I'll put forward George Brislen-Hall, but never saw him play at any level.
  25. All good points. I suppose you can try to put a financial price on it by looking at the league and cup prize money we can hope to get by keeping him and comparing it with the prize money we'd expect if we had a replacement (a less prolific one, being realistic). And then do the same for next season.
