  1. Most successful ICT manager ever, it doesn't get much better than where we are at the moment. He leaves the club in a massively better position than it was when he took over, and for all that, I thank him. But at the same time, I also wish him every possible misfortune.
  2. I'd imagine that quite a few of them will be thinking about the massive pay rise they'll get when they sign for Hibs....
  3. Looking at Terry's career, he has been at ICT longer than he was at Rangers or Motherwell and this is the most settled he's been since leaving Ipswich.
  4. If Vlad's allegations are true then Burley can't remember much about it either!
  5. ......with Kenny Cameron playing hardball as regards compo!
  6. Had to smile when I read this on hibs.net: "I must admit I've been taking a look at Caley Thistle Online. The homespun psychology from one of the big noises over there is highly amusing." Got me thinking, I wonder if Butcher's move has been delayed because Hibs are insisting on getting IHE as part of the package?

Well you didn't read it properly then! He simply turned up for the announcement of the deal, doing what all political leaders do by trying to associate themselves with any sort of success so that people get the impression that they are somehow responsible for it. And on this occassion it seems to have worked!
  8. The official approach, that is. I would suggest that the reality is that he's had a full week to think about it.

You mean Mr Doncaster. It had nothing whatsoever to do with Mr Salmond.
  10. It's a metaphor, ie the grass isn't always greener.
  11. Some Cantona-esque philosophy from Mo today (taken from STV): "whether the moon gets a bit closer, doesn't get a bit closer, that's really nothing to do with me"
  12. Well Cifcti has today won both of the first 2 matters to be dealt with: 1. Red card for slapping away the arm of an ICT player - reduced to a yellow on appeal 2. SFA citation for grabbing Shinnie - not proven!!! The headlock was a figment of our imagination. Hearing at a later date to discuss putting his hand on the linesman's throat.
  13. I would say it almost certainly will be decided today.
  14. Best make sure he doesn't see that someone on here called him Kinsella the other day!
  15. Putting aside the "agreed terms" story that broke on Monday, it is a credit to all parties concerned that nothing has leaked out and nobody really has a clue what has been going on for the last couple of days.
  16. I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Duncan Shearer. Not that I want him, it's just that he has the reserves/U20 team 4 points clear at the top of their league, knows the club and the players, wouldn't cost much etc. There are plenty of clubs who would seriously consider giving someone like that a chance at the helm. Probably considered too much of a step up though, particularly as his previous record is patchy.
  17. If we do lose the management team, who would be in charge for Saturday? Bennett? Charlie? Shearer?
  18. I was tidying up a cupboard and found this at the back. Anyone else got one? It's a flag, complete with wooden stick, that was handed to me outside Airdrie's ground when we faced Alloa in the 1999 Bells Challenge Cup final. Presumably it was the sponsors who produced these rather than the club - note the complete absence of the word "Thistle". The game itself was a cracker, end to end stuff with dodgy keeping and shoddy defending. We allowed Martin Cameron (who? exactly!) to look like a world-beater and it ended 4-4 before we lost it on penalties, but we should have won it long before it got to that stage.
  19. If Marsella goes and we find ourselves in need a new goalkeeping coach, I've found a local one! http://just4keepers.co.uk/goalkeeper-training-inverness/
  20. The giveaway is where it says "After a thorough and extensive recruitment process...."
  21. The potential for Hibs is exactly the same as for ICT, ie to finish as high as 2nd in the league and/or to win a cup. The only difference is that we are more likely to achieve one of those this season than Hibs are.
  22. Something which we are continually reminded of here in the North Stand:
  23. Unfortunately the players were sent on a 25 mile run, in bare feet.
  24. Understandable, but Fenlon would have said exactly the same about Hibs. Whatever budget you have, you want more.
  25. Apparently they were celebrating this news in Edinburgh last night, with displays of fireworks.
