League Cup Semi Final Draw - Hearts!
Plenty of room for all the fans who would be willing to travel more than 5 miles from home!

League Cup Semi Final Draw - Hearts!
No announcement of venues? I wouldn't be surprised if it is Easter Rd again, as Saints-Dons could well be at Tannadice, and I doubt the authorities would make those poor Hearts fans travel all the way to Pittodrie. But if they want a bigger venue for Saints-Dons (Edinburgh) then Tannadice would be ideal for us. Edit - thinking it about it, what's to stop them having both ties at Tannadice? One is scheduled for Sat, one is Sun. That would suit everyone, wouldn't it?

The draw should be getting shown live at the link below, for those are impatient to know who we are getting or who simply want to see Craig Levein getting those important balls out. http://sport.stv.tv/football/clubs/aberdeen/246388-live-draw-for-the-scottish-league-cup-semi-final-as-it-happens/ Edit to add: sorry, it's text updates, not pictures.

Good shout, and the capacity of 4,000 is enough to accommodate the combined average travelling support of the 2 sides!

Bouncebackability?
One interesting thing about last night's result is that it is the first time this season that we have conceded the first goal but managed to avoid defeat. Had it not been for Ciftci's stupid red card I suspect that pattern may well have continued, but we'll never know. First goal has previously seemed to very much determine what happens in our games this season : in all 7 of our previous wins, we scored first, whilst in all 3 of our defeats we conceded first. I know scoring first obviously gives you a greater chance of winning the game, but there seems to be an unusual lack of comebacks in our games these days. I was struggling to remember when we previously won a game after conceding first, and (assuming I haven't overlooked any) I had to go back surprisingly far, 22 months, to the cup replay at Dunfermline, where again we drew the 90 mins and needed extra time. The last one within 90 minutes was a full 2 years ago, the remarkable 6-3 at Killie. This is all a bit surprising, as most of us would traditionally associate ICT with a never say die attitude and famous comebacks.

League Cup Semi Final - what stadium?
Wherever it is, whoever it is, we'll have to travel further than the opposition. Just bring it on, and let's not **** up the opportunity this time!

FOUND HIM! Lionel Djebi-Zadi
******Zadi-Watch update 2013****** (Note that all references to him these days are in the name Lionel Zadi, he seems to have dropped the Djebi.) After not getting hired a year ago in Indonesia, Lionel returned to La Reunion and played this time for AJ Petite-Ile. He recently moved onto his 3rd club on the island, USS Tamponnaise (in a place called Tampon), so it seems fair to say his career is enjoying a successful period.

George Brislen-Hall
I'm assuming of course that there is only 1 George Brislen-Hall!

George Brislen-Hall
Every wondered what happened to GBH? No? Well I'll tell you anyway. Didn't seem to have any success finding a club over the summer, and in October has popped up playing for Buckhurst Hill in the Essex Olympian Football League - which isn't even the most senior league system in Essex. He scored against a team called Harold ("Harry") Hill the other day! Never saw him play myself, but with him having been an Arsenal youngster and then reportedly showing a reasonable amount of talent in our U19s, I'm a bit surprised he is down at this level.

Ross County -V- Inverness C.T.
Stumbled across this gem on the County site. ".....inevitably fans attention is already turning to the next home match, as local rivals Inverness Caledonian Thistle travel to Dingwall on Friday the 25th of October. Over the years Victoria Park has earned a fantastic reputation for the atmosphere generated under the floodlights, and the first ever Friday night Derby to be played at the league's most Northerly ground is sure to be a particularly special occasion for all football fans." http://www.rosscountyfootballclub.co.uk/news/staggies-prepare-for-killie-caley.aspx
