Awesome double!
Before the game I was telling him that this was the best ICT team of all time, so prepare to be entertained.....

St Johnstone -V- I.C.T.
Just home from the game. It was every bit as bad as the score suggests, if not worse. The ease with which they were able to cut through us was frightening, and we had so little to offer upfront today and only troubled their keeper once. The only positive is that between the 2nd and 3rd goals we were pretty decent, but on the whole it could have been more than 4.

Awesome double!
Good to have you back. Without your support, the team's really been struggling....

Claude Gnapka off to Iraq
I see from this article that the ICT legend Gnapka is now playing in India, alongside Darryl Duffy. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24352543

Tam Cowan
I see that Tam Cowan has been suspended by the BBC because of derogatory (but obviously tongue in cheek) comments about women's football in his Daily Record column, here: http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/tam-cowan-fir-park-should-2314034 Now, he'll be the first to admit that his jokes are from a bygone era, and in this article he is particularly guilty of being predictable and unfunny. But there's been a huge reaction, overreaction in fact, across the media, with people queueing up to wet their knickers and express (mock) outrage. My local MSP Roseanna Cunningham, Minister for Community Safety, came out with "All the great work going on to reduce abuse and violence is undermined in this article." Seriously?! But what gets me most is that Cowan has been churing out this kind of guff for 20 years, and I dare say every one of the offending jibes has been used many times before on Off the Ball and in his column, but without any outcry. Is it any coincidence that it is suddenly unacceptable after the BBC has massively ramped up the airtime given to women's football? I presume the BBC has implemented a new policy on women's football in recent months, it seems to get more coverage on the national news than either the SPFL or Scotland national team get. When England sacked Hope Powell it was a far bigger story than any change in Scotland men's manager I can recall. Even this Scotland Womens match, or rather mismatch, v Bosnia was live on both BBC TV and radio.

Poll : Season's expectations
Just a bit of fun. I think we did a poll like this at the start of the season, but what are your expectations now that we are a quarter of the way through the season?

Another ICT fan
Great news I didn't even know he was pregnant.

SPL top team
Here's another one then. Definitely the first time we've ever won 4 consecutive home league games in the top flight.
-
SPL top team
Speaking of stats, I don't imagine ICT have ever had a goal difference of +11 in the top flight.

SPL top team
In 2005 Hearts won their first 8 league games in style (but were knocked out of the League Cup by Livi). I think they then drew 2 games, one of which was v Celtic, and then Burley got the boot. Other than that, I can't recall any non-OF team having such a good start as us, I'm sure you'd have to go back a long way. Edit to add: just looked up Hearts of the mid-80s. In season 86/87 they had the very same W/D/L record as us after 8 games - but then won only 1 of their next 8, and finished 5th in the end. That was the season after they nearly won the league. In 85/86 they only won 2 of their first 9 before going on a tremendous unbeaten run which lasted until they blew it at Dens on the last day.

Inverness C.T. -V- Hibernian
Terry's explanation of events: "I wanted Nick Ross to come out to the right hand side and I think my guys thought I wanted him to come off. "When I say to him 'come out wide here' and he keeps walking past me and sits in the dugout. "I said: 'what are you doing? I don't want you to play that wide. I went the fourth official Alan Muir and said 'that's the wrong man' but he said he couldn't do anything about.

League Cup Quarter Final Draw
Our tie is on the Tuesday at 7.30pm according to BBC. The others are all the next night, with the Edinburgh derby being the televised fixture as expected.
-
All To Play For
3 games between Sunday and Friday will probably necessitate a wee bit of squad rotation.
-
All To Play For
6 month ban from driving and a 12 month ban from the League Cup.

All To Play For
You'd think it should be. But it never seems to work like that in Scotland. I can't find any announcement about when the draw will take place, which probably means the SPFL haven't thought about it yet. They'll get round to it next week, I suspect. The QF ties will be 29/30th October.

Dundee -V- Inverness C.T.
Butcher post-match: "The team that turned up tonight is not the team that got us to the top of the league and the players have been told that in no uncertain terms. I have actually given the players two days off to go away and think about it because when they come back in on Friday I want them really focused on Hibs because if we play like that against Hibs we will get turned over." To me that sounds like he's just looking for the players to play better, rather than planning to make changes in tactics or personnel.

Dundee -V- Inverness C.T.
Someone said to me last night, "What on earth happened to Craig Beattie?" Good question. Still in his 20's, he's resorted to playing for Dundee after failing to score for his last club, Barnet. Played for 10 clubs in the last 6 years since leaving Celtic. Yet back in 2007 he was scoring a vital last minute winning goal for Scotland, sparking wild celebrations in the Yngwie household. I remember this because I became a dad 9 months later!

All To Play For
And remember we are one round closer than some of those teams, whose odds will quickly shorten after they get through tonight.

Dundee -V- Inverness C.T.
Good report, that. I see at the end it puts Draper's booking down to simulation. I thought it was for handball. He went down, either clipped from behind or just fell, I'm not sure which. but he stopped the ball with his hand, either to prevent an attack or because he was expecting a free kick to us.
