Can we please try to avoid discussing potential new managers on this thread please, there is a separate one running for that very purpose.

I hope his SFA misconduct charge results in a very lengthy ban!

If Terry had gone to Barnsley in the Championship he would have left with the best wishes of every fair minded ICT fan. As it is now, he can ** **** *******.

Agreed terms with Butcher, but still not contacted ICT.... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24809195

Blimey, that didn't take long. When did they ask for permission to speak to him?

I suppose it depends if there's a clause in his contract specifying a release fee. But seeing as he only has 6 months left on his contract, I'd imagine you're only talking tens of thousands. Hibs can cover that using the money they got from us playing our last semi-final at Easter Rd, and if we play our next one there as well they can use that money to entice half our players too!

Since first becoming a manager 23 years ago, do you know what Terry has won? Nothing, except the Div 1 title with ICT. Likewise for Mo. He now has a serious chance of winning a national cup with ICT (Hibs are out, Terry) and you'd hope that winning a trophy like this would be a greater motivation for him than earning a bit more money which he doesn't actually need.

If Terry turns down the opportunity to manage a team in the Championship but accepts Hibs instead, he needs his head examined.

Just the usual non-committal stuff - not looking to leave but not ruling it out.- Inverness CT -V- Kilmarnock

Well if he'd accepted I think we'd have been told by now! The club tried and failed to tie him down earlier this season, there was reference to it in an interview with Terry a few weeks ago, I think the word "stalled" was used to describe the talks.- Butcher offski?
Hibs ability to pay off Fenlon and bring in a new manager is obviously boosted by all the money they get from being a preferred venue for league cup semi-finals and the Ramsdens final.- Butcher offski?
Although it is a bit concerning that he seems to have rejected all our offers of a new contract.- Ross County -V- Inverness C.T.
- Inverness CT -V- Dundee Utd
The charge for both is explained as "misconduct at a match by failing to behave in a responsible manner as an occupant of the technical area by acting in an aggressive manner towards players of the opposing team". Guilty as charged, I fear, so its a case of getting the shortest ban possible. But am I right in saying that we actually get better results when Butcher isn't allowed in the technical area? Thrashed Dundee Utd last season to kickstart our season, and then came back to win on Tuesday. Any others occasions?- Inverness CT -V- Dundee Utd
Interesting comment in the Herald, which suggests that the red was earned before the Shinnie headlock incident. "Herald Sport understands the referee's report confirms the sending off was for Ciftci slapping away the arm of an Inverness player, which took place moments before he grabbed the face of Graeme Shinnie, which sparked the first notice of complaint." If this is correct then I wouldn't be surprised if he wins the appeal against the red (which must have been pretty soft seeing as none of us even spotted it) but then gets punished for the 2 subsequent offences that are in the SFA's notice of complaint.- Scottish Cup Semi/Final Venue
We beat Gretna 5-0 in the Challenge Cup when they were a Div 3 club, before Mileson's millions were invested. I miss Gretna - our record was played 6 won 6, with a margin of at least 3 goals in 5 of the wins.- Team for Kilmarnock
Really? From what I can see he doesn't get forward much, and doesn't track back either.- Inverness CT -V- Dundee Utd
When you see it on the video (Arabzone highlights which are linked to earlier on this thread) there's really not much to it, as his hand is only in the vicinity of the linesman's neck for about half a second and it seems to be more of a push than a grab. But technically yes, he's got to get into trouble for it because you can't touch an official in an aggressive manner like that. Similarly, his red card was rather soft but technically correct. He could potentially end up being banned for quite a few games, as well as having cost his team the tie, all for some fairly mild handbags stuff in which nobody was even at risk of getting hurt. So I can see why Utd might feel a bit hard done by from all of this, but at the end of the day, that'll teach'em!- League Cup Semi Final Draw - Hearts!
According to the Daily Record (yes, I know) "SPFL chiefs will consult with all four of the teams left in the competition over the weekend before making an official announcement at the start of next week."- League Cup Semi Final Draw - Hearts!
Am I right in saying that even if Hearts get their finances sorted out by the time the tie takes place, they absolutely cannot sign new players, or bring in a busload of ringers from Liverpool FC?- League Cup Semi Final - what stadium?
I'm closing this topic to avoid having 2 threads discussing exactly the same thing. - Butcher offski?
