Ironically, our season was an absolute dream until Terry did what we all wanted and turned down Barnsley! 2nd in the league, League Cup semi coming up, and still in the Scottish Cup. If Terry had gone, would the incoming manager have failed on all 3 fronts? We'll never know.

We only lost 10 games this season, but it was just 6 from our first 33, then 4 from the last 5.
  3. Probably, but his omission was due to injury, a knock in training.

We also can't argue too much about the Euro spot going to a team that we failed to beat in 4 attempts.
  5. Funny how County fans were celebrating news of Saints' goals - which pushed County down a league place and cost them about £80,000 in league prize money!

Whilst there will be a lot of disappointment and criticism about the performance and result today, it was always going to be a "big ask" to get an away win against a good team, on a dodgy pitch, without 3 of our key midfielders. The damage was really done in previous games - Raven getting sent off after 10 minutes in Perth to gift them a win, and then us throwing it away against Dundee Utd last weekend. We were 1-0 up at the start of the 2nd half, at home against the worst team in the top 6, who had nothing to play for, and were fielding a load of youngsters, and their top scorer in defence. That was the real chance that we blew. If you go into the split in 3rd place then lose 4 of your 5 post-split games, you can't expect to retain 3rd place. Ultimately we didn't deserve Europe. Close but not quite enough. Still a great season though, onwards and upwards. And we'll get to do a proper pre-season without the distraction of European fixtures!
  7. Shane on for Taylor. Shane hasn't scored for 16 months.
  8. Making a hash of all our set pieces.
  9. SPLstats on Twitter: "Inverness have not won an SPL match from a losing HT position since being promoted in 2010."
  10. We've picked a great time to put in our worst performance of the season! Oh to have Foran today.
  11. Was only a matter of time.
  12. Oh dear on that front!
  13. And OTJ. We just have nothing in midfield are are looking truly awful so far. Dire stuff from us. I think we'll be relying on Motherwell today.
  14. Interesting line-up. Without Foran, Draper or OTJ, where's the steel in midfield?
  15. Terry on McCall: "I am bigger than him so if he doesn't come up with the goods I will batter him"
  16. That's just awful for him.
  17. The bookies I've looked at have St J as favourites to win their game.
  18. Sunday. Hearts will survive until then, just. But the question seems to be whether their parent company might already have suffered an "insolvency event" as defined in the SPL rulebook which was not written in the context of how Lithuanian proceedings work.
  19. If Toni thought he'd be replacing Bell as Killie's first choice keeper, he'll be disappointed to see that they are now trying to sign Craig Samson as well. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22545832
  20. "We're heading for Venus Vilnius!"
  21. Has anyone else got Europe's Final Countdown going round in their head all the time?!
  22. “We’ve not beaten them all season and there would be no finer time to do that than on the last weekend of the season.” Err, would one of the cup games not have been a finer time, or perhaps the crunch league game when County still had a lot to play for and could have overtaken us?
  23. I would have thought their wage budget would be a few hundred grand more than ours. Biggers crowds, much higher league prize money last season, Champions League qualifiers this season. They were able to bring in McFadden, could we have done? They were no better than us until his arrival.
  24. Different in that McKay scores goals and Fallon doesn't!
