  1. Dunfermline have signed Mark Kerr for the rest of the season. Pretty good signing for them, let's hope its their last.
  2. - "You scumbag!" - "You maggot!" - "You cheap lousy faggot!" etc
  3. Turning the question round in a different way.........which of the two games would Celtic rather win?
  4. Good move for Imrie, he's good enough for another crack at the SPL. And it's fitting that in St Mirren he's found a club with as much class as he has.
  5. Unbelievably bad luck, sheesh.
  6. Of course, if they can't get a better squad, the other option is to get a better manager - or at least one who does something different that might just galvanise the squad and get a "new manager bounce" for the remainder of the season. I'd say that is there best only hope of avoiding relegation.
  7. McIntyre on BBC: "It is a huge disappointment because obviously there would have been extra money made available if we had got through," he said after the 3-1 loss. "But I hope to add at least one body, if not two." Squandering home advantage in their fourth-round replay means the Pars miss out on a lucrative home tie against holders Celtic. "It's a bitter blow," McIntyre told BBC Scotland. "There's no doubt a tie against Celtic live on television would've enabled me to bring in further players. "I will just need to sit down with the board and see what funds are available."
  8. Hayes says here that he deserved a kick up the arse from the captain, and it worked. Friends again. http://www.sportinglife.com/football/scottishpremier/news/story_get.cgi?STORY_NAME=soccer/12/01/19/SOCCER_Dunfermline_Hayes.html&TEAMHD=scotspremiership&BID=425
  9. I think there's a flaw in the rating options offered - based on SPL refs this season, surely "Average" and "Terrible" are the same thing!
  10. How about "Condolences on your sad loss...........of form, of career, of friends........."
  11. Would it be unsporting to send Chris Smith a thank you card?
  12. A tale of two keepers.
  13. 4 games v Dunfermline this season, 4 draws.
  14. Abysmal record at Aberdeen, although he's by no means the first decent manager to go there and fail miserably. Many good managers have the odd disaster on their CV, including our own Terry, so its not surprising that Rovers are overlooking that and giving him a chance. He ought to bring about improvement in a team that is struggling near the bottom of the "4th division".
  15. Well the first 5 have gone on day 1, after winning not a set, and hardly an games, between them.
  16. Houston certainly seemed to be saying on the radio on Saturday that £25,000 was his transfer kitty and if Hamilton don't accept then he'll go and spend it on a different player instead. Although you'd think that if Accies want say £30,000 he'd be able to find a wee bit more in the Tannadice biscuit tin, especially after the Goodwillie windfall.
  17. Speaking of which.........Marius Niculae got a somewhat surprising call up to represent his country at the Euros on the back of 8 SPL goals in an entire season. Tade has 8 with 16 games to go! Gotta love the idea of seeing him face England, and making a **** out of John Terry.
  18. I think there's a rule that prevents you fiedling players in a cup replay if they weren't registered with your club at the time of the first match.
  19. If we were ever going top keep a clean sheet, then statistically Motherwell at Fir Park was perhaps our best chance - Mothewell have only managed 7 goals at home (from 10 games) which is the worst home scoring record of any club (and is as bad as any teams away scoring record too).
  20. Blimey, Tade's goal looked the work of a top class striker.
  21. Get the chips on, Auchterarder!
  22. Adam Rooney for B'ham ( v 9 men Millwall)
  23. Incredible result for Hearts today, and a shocker for St Mirren - I thought our 10 men did well to draw v Dunfermline, but 5-2 despite having 10 men for 80 minutes!
  24. You are older than I always imagined, and have far less hair than I expected.
  25. And don't forget that £15,000 of that goes to the VAT man so there's only £75,000 going into the revenue share pot.
