  1. I read on the STV report that CAS could either postpone the Maribor vs Celtic or Legia takes the place back from Celtic but doesn't explain much about the Europa League should the latter be the outcome. IIRC when Celtic got back into the Europa League when Sion had the 5 players ineligible which that was taken to CAS the outcome wasn't made until December that year. Champions League for Celtic = £££ for Scotish Football but in my opinion even if Celtic were put into the Europa League, they have better chance of getting say the finals than in the Champions League.
  2. Best case scenario would be them getting put into the Europa League and going to Kahzakhstan instead of Slovenia. It would mean our game getting changed to Sunday though again.
  3. Sounds a much quicker paced game from us rather than a slow approach like last Wednesday!
  4. James Vincent failed a late fitness test hence why there is only 6 subs today.
  5. Inverness CT: Brill, Raven, Shinnie, Warren, Meekings, Draper, Watkins, Tansey, Williams, Christie, Mckay Subs: Esson, Doran, Ross, Horner, Tremarco, Polworth
  6. Ignore the above, Showumni didn't play at Falkirk when Yogi was boss.
  7. Going by that Fly on the wall account on Twitter, one of them is a former England B player and the other is a 6'1 Nigerian. Not sure who the English one could be but I had a slight inclination that the Nigerian could be Enoch Showumni who was at Falkirk with Yogi but Showumni isn't 6'1 (according to his wiki page he's 6'5)
  8. I am really impressed with the new sponsor board behind Yogi when he does his interviews now. Looks ace!
  9. As I said in the Dundee match thread that 4-2-3-1 doesn't really suit the possession style of play and would much rather see two upfront rather than just one which in theory would provide more service to Billy Mckay. I do like Yogi's style of play in general. It's a good idea but I feel it needs to be more quick paced passes and moving the ball forward rather than side ways or backwards. My team would be: Brill Meekings Warren Shinnie Watkins Draper Tansey Williams Doran Christie Mckay Subs: Esson, Raven, Tremarco, Vincent, Horner, Polworth, Ross,
  10. Such a fall from grace for Greenhalgh. I always felt he was too lightweight for the premiership and watching a few U20 games I didn't think he had the right attitude but didn't expect him to make such a fall consdering he was scoring for Stenny.
  11. They did state when they bought him that he was signed for their B/reserve team initially. They have bought him to develop and then sell on at a very large profit. They were very clear on their intentions. I didn't realise that. I thought he was going to be played in the first team straightaway.
  12. When paying £3M for a player you should hopefully expect him to be there or there abouts. Taking nothing away from him Portugals second tier is still a good standard. Main point I was making was really if Billy went abroad that it isn't always greener on the other side of the fence. Technically he is already abroad !!! He's British and still in Britiain

  14. To be fair to Vincent he's been carrying a groin injury but Watkins should have started IMO.
  15. The problem I have with Yogi's philosophy is that I find it too slow and unfortunately it comes across as negative and boring. I personally don't think 4-2-3-1 suits his philosophy of football and would suggest changing to 4-4-2 or 3-5-2. I really don't have a problem with the passing style per say but if it's quick and moves forwards rather than backwards then we will be more effective. I was pleased that we were taking more shots outside the box as that was one of my bug bares in the Butcher era trying to walk it into the net. Regarding tonight's game Nil-Nil was the fair result - pretty passes but no final third from either side. Hopefully Yogi goes back to the drawing board and changes the team about on Saturday - Watkins, Doran and Williams must start.
  16. Seen that Ryan Gauld is already struggling out in Portugal and now playing for Sporting's B team - so sometimes the grass isn't greener on the other side. In saying that though playing in the second tier of Germany might be a good starter to get adjusted to German football.
  17. If it is indeed FSV instead of Eintracht then I think Mckay would be more keen to stay put.
  18. I don't think it's in the best interest for anyone if we were asking for an extortionate amounts which would ultimately make teams walk away and then we are in a position where Billy can leave next season for free and we could have been saying I wish we could have boosted the coffers with the 300K bid from Frankfurt. I still wished we could have got cash for Andy Shinnie but it's just one of these things. I have faith that Kenny Cameron will do what's best for ICT.
  19. I totally agree 200K wouldn't be an acceptable bid. I was just stating that if we didn't accept a bid we could risk losing him and getting no money for him like we did with Andy Shinnie unless Billy signs another contract then we don't have that worry. For what it's worth I would accept anything from 300K-700K for Billy.
  20. Baring in mind Billy could walk away for nought in January.
  21. I wonder if it will be more than 65K that Fleetwood bid. I was listening to Russell on Sportsound after the game last Saturday and he said we would like to keep but we will do what's best for Billy wether it be staying here or elsewhere which is true enough. Playing in the Bundesliga would be some feat for Billy and would be hard to turn down so will just have to wait and see. As Yogi has said on the club YouTube before "Football evolves, if it's not him it's somebody else"

Same team as Hamilton but Doran replacing Vincent.
  23. Reason I was suggesting Carl Finnigan cause he is in the similar sort of mould as Lewis Horner. It may or may not work out as has been stated he is only 27 so who knows. As I said would only give him a short deal (6 month) for cover and may do a job if we have no other viable options.
  24. Might be worth a short term deal if no other second striker is viable.
  25. We should be thankful that we are in a position where the journalists actually want to interview the manager. And we won the game! An ideal opportunity for Yogi to throw their gloomy predictions back at them. I would have thought he would have relished the opportunity. As far as I can see he already done that by letting the talking being done on the pitch. As I said he didn't need to give them the gratitude of an interview - I don't see why it's such a big issue that he didn't IMO. As for the Rangers comment I was just being sarcastic as I don't see why Yogi not giving an interview should have anything to do with Rangers.
