I wholeheartedly agree. More stupid bitching and moaning - no wonder so many of the old posters who at one time made this site a pleasure to read and contriute to, and who re-appeared on here recently, don't use the thing any more. Every thread gets hijacked by the same few gurners and it really does drag you down reading a lot of this p1sh. Incredibly, a lot of the moaners expect to be taken seriously by the board. Strewth. If I wasn't so bored stuck here offshore I'd forget about this site altogether.
  2. It'll be madness if he doesn't.
  3. We've scored 2 in 4 games We're signing one of the leagues top scorers How can you tell him 'Don't play' :029: If anyone can score an extra 8 or 10 goals for us this season it's Brewster, and those extra goals will probably make the difference at the end of the season. He is coming as player/manager isn't he
  4. Really? I got it. Here Tried that link thanks, but all I'm getting is a blank page Maybe it's something to do with the works computer system :009: Must be your machine; the commentary's working for me. Working now (unfortunately)

  6. no live text commentary on the BBC either !!!
  7. Good luck indeed to Charlie Christe. The last in the line of ICT players to have a Highland League/Caley/Thistle heritage, it was fitting that you spent time in the managers office. No-one else in the ICT firmament will ever have their life as intertwined with the ICT fairytale as you. Thanks for everything. When will we see your likes again.
  8. Les Fridge - the only player to move on to a superior team after leaving ICT, :023:
  9. Cowie certainly looks like a class act from the little I've seen of him. Looks like he will benefit from playing at the higher level where he looks right at home.
  10. I'm going to start a petition against this petition, in fact I'm going to make it against all petitions
  11. Not sure where it sits on the scale, but I have a feeling of Impending Doom Like waking up with a deadly hangover and the nagging feeling you've done something the night before you shouldn't have, can't for the life of you remember what it is, but you just know something bad is going to happen as a result!
  12. I can already see the Highland Snooze headlines...

  15. Last season we took 7/9 points off Rangers. That run was never likely to continue and Rangers are a much more solid proposition this year - just look at what they did to Falkirk today. Today, we hadn't lost in the last 9 outings at Love Street - another run which was unlikely to continue much longer. Last week we lost by a last minute penalty. All in all I'm not to despondant about the start. Next week the numbers will be going our way.
  16. Hallelujah Brother Ender May the ancient spirits of the highlands rise up smite the Paisleyites this glorious Nairn Games day.

I've always liked the idea, and would like to see them experiment with it in the Highland League. A bit of sunburn's got to be preferable to hypo-feckin-thermia, particularly if acquired on Station Parks hallowed grassy slopes. I love the pre-season friendlies where you can rock up in yer shorts and flip flops instead of thermal undies and a bunnet. :hairy01: :icecream: :021: :021: :cold02: :020: :020:

"It's a big ask" gets me every time
  20. Where and when ?? Just to re-iterate, I don't want to appear down on Zander, because personally I haven't seen enough of him to make a call, but I will be delighted if there's firm evidence of his potential. He just seems to me to be a fans favourite for no obvious reason.
  21. If Barry had done the same at the other end we'd have been having a great laugh at the 'Well protests, so no point in gurning.
  22. Despite his legendary ICT status, Denzil has yet to prove himself as an SPL goalscorer, hopefully he can stay injury free and change that this year.
  23. Well done again to Rory. I'm inclined to agree with the ICT and Scotland management teams who obviously have some faith in the potential they see in Rory as opposed to the boo boys on here who can even turn his selection for the national team into an opportunity to blade him. He has been thrust into the spotlight too quickly and hopefully if we avoid injury amongst the other main strikers (assuming they prove themselves to be better than Rory) he will be given time to develop at his own pace. To divert the thread slightly, I don't want to be down on Zander Sutherland, but on what basis are people on here touting him for the ICT 1st team and Scotland - as far as I'm aware he's had next to no SPL experience, and the most memorable thing I can remember him doing was giving away a penalty within about a minute of appearing as a sub one week. (at least I think it was Zander, but will happily stand corrected). Turning Highland League defences inside out in friendlies is one thing, doing the same in the SPL is another. One concern I have about Zander is that he appears very small and lightwight to make it at the top level where most of the players, even wingers are pretty solid these days. I hope my doubts are unfounded though and he turns out to be the new Davie Cooper.
  24. You've out-Bannermanned Bannerman there I can't see this phrase finding it's way into the Yogi Hughes football managers lexicon. "Aye, the boy dun maginficent, and wus sick as a parrot, but the contagiousness of discord wiz whit really hurt us today" I thought they were a Brazilian thrash metal band :music05:
  25. problem solved for me - thanks to all for the assistance
