Team for Gretna
I don't care who plays as long as the last game of the season doesn't end in a win for Gretna.

Hearts -v- ICT : Matchday Thread
I agree. The amazing thing about the game was how long it took Hearts to score. They had most of the possession and most of the shots on goal and an endless number of corners. NoEs, you make interesting points about the standing confrontation. I was one of the people who stood up until the end, and although I did feel a moral victory had been scored over the right for Inverness fans to stand (when half of the Hearts' shed was standing), I did cringe when the boys starting singing "Cheerio, cheerio" to the police. That wasn't necessary, and if I'd been the police I would have been tempted to go right back up and throw them out after all. No need to try and ridicule the police. But great singing indeed, "We might shag sheep but we don't have Aids", being my favourite...

Whats Marius making of all this.
Mainz were still in the 1. Bundesliga when he joined them during the winter transfer window. They relegated that season, unfortunately because they were having a striker crisis and weren't scoring enough goals.

Where would we be had things been different
What's not to believe? Good football and fighting performances under CC. Utter shyte under Brewster since January. Maybe we're watching different teams? :024:

Where would we be had things been different
The bad run under CC wasn't nearly as bad as the run we're having/have had (hopefully the latter) under Brew. When we were losing under CC, I still thought we were playing good football and were having a run of luck going against us rather than us doing anything wrong. I certainly wasn't going to matches and wanting to walk out after fifteen minutes, as I have done with recent away games.

Depressing
:clapping03: :clapping03: That post-split run two years ago under CC seems like another century now.

Jam Tarts game
Jeez, glad I checked the sticky for once or I would have just strolled up to Tynecastle as normal :010:

What have we done now?
Butler Dinning Defender and midfielder - both pretty old
- What have we done now?

New shirt ?
Whose shirts are these? I'm so glad we aren't sponsored by a company with Recyclage in their name - sounds like a mixture of recyclable and sewage On the other hand, some of our players.... :015:

What have we done now?
And why do we want players from a team about to relegate to the English fifth division anyway? :010:
-
New shirt ?
Actually, I really liked these Bremen strips, maybe we could go for that in red and blue
- New shirt ?
-
IAN BLACK ?
Who needs sources? Blackie himself visited me in a dream last night and explained what the current problems with the team were. I don't want to betray confidences, but I can exclusively reveal that next season he will be working as a coach for Cowdenbeath :015:

New shirt ?
So finally we can have a proper merger and get a purple strip! A purple top and green shorts, I think.

Has Niculae been worth it?
One thing which I can no longer remember - did Marius himself demand his current wage before coming?

If they can afford some buckie/Cider or MD 20/20 they can afford 80p for a bus :023: seriously though 80p isn't a **** of alot of money to spend on a bus unless pocket money has gone down in the years since I got some (?10 a week for chores etc.). Going from Forres High St to the Tesco on the A96 (a distance of about 1/2 mile) costs ?1. I just started posting an almost identical message about Buckie and Breezers but you beat me to it :015:

UEFA
I particularly enjoyed all those closeups before the game of the fans holding "No Tims in Europe" scarves aloft. :33: Had there been a choice of game, I would have switched over at that point.

Yup, to us Aberdeen was a booming oil town, to them it was seen as some sort of backwater lacking any basic facilities.

reedee, what would you actually *want* to do? I'm honestly curious. When I was your age I just went round to friends' houses and watched TV or listened to records (big black flat things like plates with music on them :015:).

I had a friend who went to Aberdeen Uni in the 80s and had a girl in his class from Peterborough. Her mother had packed a whole case with toilet rolls, and was concerned that there might be no pavements...

Appealing to a young footballer? They want anything other than pubs, clubs and semi-comatose willing girls? Um...these aren't exactly lacking in Inverness you know. That's what I meant. :003: I grew up in Nairn so a visit to Inverness used to be *very* exciting :015: I think Yngwie is right, though.

Appealing to a young footballer? They want anything other than pubs, clubs and semi-comatose willing girls? Or is it the lack of experimental theatre in Inverness which is stopping them?
