My view is we have 20 plus games to get 4 points more the the 6 teams above us and we are top six that's acheivable Football is all about confidence especially for a striker rooney was a prime example of this didn't score alot in his first season but when he started scoring he couldn't stop scoring the same goes for the rest of the team a result and a good performance on Saturday could change our fortunes

You feel we're not missing a solid, reliable and committed centre half? GM not good enough for the SPL, but how many seasons has he played there? Shame Proctors tackle was in the box - PMSL thats a bit like shooting someone in the head with a gun and then in court claiming I never did anything wrong it's just a shame his head was in the way! . Foran played a poor game (not for the first time this season) although to be fair he set up the goal. But he's not the only one under performing, not by a long shot and that includes the management teams as they have brought these players in. I felt Foran was only clapping at the end and thanking the fans for sticking with the team, at least that's what I saw. People would be moaning if he just walked straight off saying that 'he isn't showing the loyals fans any gratitude' so he's damned either way. Never mind all will be well when- We start to gell, get injured players back, find the system that works for us, play a passing game etc etc. Not to mention the stability brought from giving TB & MM the contract extensions so early, that will hopefully kick in soon too. Ok IMO he was anything but solid or reliable, ill give you committed because the boy really did try. But no matter how many seasons he played in the SPL doesn't mean he was good enough for it! Far to slow and gave possession away every time with his 'hoof ball' tactics stop backing up a highly over rated and below average defender! He is gone to a a lower division which suits him best. and with the proctor situation i meant he should have made the tackle outside the box when he had the chance 'SHAME IT WAS INSIDE'. 'never mind all will be well' excuse me for being negative but i am really worried for us right now. we were outplayed by Dunfermline at home, i fear the worst for next week as Motherwell can actually play a little bit of football! Oh dear, did Grant steal your sweeties or something? Seriously though is GM Puyol? Is he Maicon? No. Did he ping inch perfect passes out of defence every time? No, but he played to his strengths and was a solid reliable player to suggest otherwise is nonsense, also the reason I believe he chose RC was family. Regardless you clearly think he was a terrible player for ICT, I don't and I think 99% of folk would agree with me and that's the last I'll say as I don't wanna labour the point. Your point on Procs tackle never made sense to me the first time and it still doesn't, from what I saw he wouldn't have made such a tackle at all had his positioning been better. Though he was maybe left a little exposed. My last paragraph regarding 'all will be well when...' was some what tongue in cheek and I would have thought most folk reading it would have taken it in that manner, perhaps it was too subtle for you. Out of curiosity who do you think are our strongest centre halfs this season, bearing in mind we are the only SPL team who have not had a shut-out so far (I think)? Edit: Spelling. Josh Meekings came on for 5 minutes and was already better than Grant Munro's whole career have a greeny just expect some reds

esson meekings--tokely--hogg/proctor--gillet cox ross---tansey mckay-------------------------g.shinnie tade subs: tuffey, golobart, hogg/ proctor, davis, a.shinnie, foran, chippendale tough game but hopefully we can get revenge for the undeserved 3-0 loss to them at the start of the season it'll be good to see how meekings copes with nicky law or jamie murphy who ever is on motherwells left side it'll be a challenge for his first start im pressuming hes guarenteed a start with piermayr suspended

forans our top assister this season hes set up about half of our goals so with tade on 4 goals and foran on 4 or 5 assists we have a decent strike force how often does foran win a header against a tall defender about 60-70% of the time? yes hes not been the best leader this season but hes chipped in he loves this club and thats why he gets frustrated the pressure gets to him as captain sometimes we need someone with a cooler head at times to captain the side i think cox or esson should get the arm band and see how it benefits foran to have the pressure lifted off him

theres been games where we should of been 3-4 up this season and havnt scored any im just happy dunfermline now know what its like to be us. i think butcher wanted a reaction from the players that were poor against st johnstone and didnt get it the players with the exception of tade, esson, davis and andy shinnie (at times) didnt do that. the centre back pearing of tokely seem to have some sort of understanding but make to many mistakes piermayr-wasnt good enough we were more dangerous on the right flank when meekings came on tansey-has had to play out of position again what were we playing a 4-4-2 diamond ?? foran- at least he wasnt whining and moaning at everyone today he set up the goal but tade is showing him up at the minute G.shinnie- was suspect for the second game in a row i think hed be better off wide left of the midfeild and putting gillet in at left back. time for changes is now butchers had 3 games to asses this starting 11 and who its suiting and who it isnt on the plus side i look forward to seeing how meekings gets on against nicky law or jamie murphy next week

Tade has given the best defenses in the league problems it's putting the ball in the back of the net that's the problem But yeah I'm confident about this game st Johnstone was the first realy poor game where we've been poor for the full 90 minutes it was the worst we've played since the first half against Aberdeen we shouldn't be expecting a response we should be demanding one

i dont think we had a long enough pre season so players got rushed into being match fit and were over worked in time for the first game of the season causing injuries simples

Yeah i was going to point that out too but just thought i'd leave it. Macedonia are thankfully a bit easier than Montenegro but i still think away they can be quite tricky. montenegro, macedonia they were all the same country at one point or another tricky but winable as every game in this group will be

i say give foran a rest and hand over the captancy to esson for 2-3 weeks we seen when foran came off against aberdeen esson got all the lads together in the second half and we played some brilliant football ok didnt get a result but improved i dont see any harm in it foran will do well for us this season but not while injured.

realy?? could you be anymore negative?? big deal we lost to spain we also managed to come from 2 -0 down against them at hampden yes we lost but so many countries have struggled to score one against spain never mind 2. we have been cheated out of this euro campaign by incompetetince from a certain dutchsman, when we look back at this campaign thats whats cost us we missed out by 2 points we should have got 3 points against the czechs at hampdeninstead of 1 croatia, serbia, belgium, montenegro, and wales if we dont get 12 points from montenegro and wales that would be disapointing belgium could prove a tough test but is winnable as are croatia and belgium i dont see any reason why we cant go to brazil You think we'll get 12 points from Montenegro and Wales ? What planet are you living on ? Why couldn't we?? Wales have bale, bellamy and Ramsey bur apart from that their team is average Montenegro Arnt great either yeh they got 2 points from England but Arnt better than us why couldn't we get 12 points from Wales and montenegro? Their is no reason why we can't get through to the world cup

im in two minds about foran he has set up a few goals this season but hasnt scored enough himself tade has fed off him but he hasnt fed off tade i dont think he is past it he is still a physical presence and good to have around but i do think he is being over-utilised by butcher i think shane should be getting more starts and foran less shane is similar in he is good in the air and a presence but he also has pace andi i think would tend to score when he starts in the last season and a bit shane has made 38 appearences and 29 of them were off the bench and he has score 2 pretty superb goals im not sure whether shane and foran up front together from the start would work but at clach in pre season it did. yes its clach but shane seemed to feed off of foran in the half they played together.

need a win for this one home form is key for our season 2 wins and an unfortunate draw in our last 3 home games need to keep it up to push on

Hard to judge really because in my opinion Butcher hooked the wrong guy. I think Foran should have been taken off instead of Tade and I think Tade would have been better placed to control the ball and feed through to MacKay. totally agree whenever tade hasnt played this season we have look like we have lacked something it should of been foran off for mckay or sutherland yesterday not 100% sure but i think he was on the bench alot for northampton and was probably played out of position as young strikers are these days he looked pacey and willing to run when he came on but thats all i could see of his short spell on the park.

esson piermayr-tokely-proctor-G.shinnie cox a.shinnie--------tansey mckay---------------------------ross tade subs: tuffey, meekings, gillet, hayes, morrison, sutherland, foran mckay looked quick and sharp unlike foran who wasnt at it against st johnstone unfortunatly for chippendale our bench doesnt have room for him and hayes despite him looking tricky when he came on today hayes getting game time is priority at the moment 9 man bench is needed for next week shame the spl wont allow it so chippendale and davis will miss out for this one

butchers only mistake today was taking tade off for sutherland and not foran the rest was down to the players themselves. its hard to take any positives from todays game we did have a go from outside the box instead of trying to walk it into the net. it almost payed off once or twice but st johnstone were extremly organised at the back and we just have to concede we were beaten by the better side today cillian sheridan going off realy done us a favour him and sangria are dinamite you could see that from st johnstones first attack terific understanding
