  1. I'll tell you in a few weeks once I've all this sewn up how I'm picking them, you'll know fine Forfar were always going to be the bet!
  2. List of you in touch with the top grows smaller every time.. 7 weeks left folks
  3. Forfar heqe thanks. Both they and dumbarton good things today.
  4. Hang about... where di my post form last night go? I said I'm only backing SHIMROCK PADDY in the last of the day each way and that I've no idea about the price of Guinness as I never touch the stuff. And Dumbarton did the business last night, 20% bonus from Brechin in too, good stuff all round.
  5. Had a good day myself in the pub, was packed for the whole days racing, they were dishing out free pies till we could barely move, just starting to wind down now but I've just found a bottle of red wine in the kitchen which I'm claiming for the football later lol. Id Celestial Halo and Drombeag had kicked on I'd be dancing in the streets tonight but cant complain when 3 out of 4 bets return cash and one of them was a very good winner. Sadly I'm working the rest of the festival but will no doubt find a few bets for myself. Dumbarton and Brechin tonight.. the doubles on. Taken Dumbarton HT/FT, The word is the Elgin players cant be bothered tonight ..(!) Not a dead cert by any means but if Dumbarton get 1 then they could end up with 10. I predicted theyd score 17 goals last Wednesday but they only managed the 2, same again tonight would be lovely, I'll post my bets for Cheltenham up later, will only have a couple like today, would advise anybody betting at Chelts this week to take it easy with the stakes as it really is the closest thing youll get to a lottery in horse racing, its the only meeting where you know for sure theres no funny business and every horse an jockey is giving their all. Put them on and enjoy watching top class racing for once, if you can get a couple of drinks through you then all the better...
  6. Bring it on Joe! Remember youre closer to 4th than you are to 1st Cant believe I picked Stenny btw, Forfar where the Scottish punt of the day, the only Scottish team I backed with cash, just knew I'd be busy all Friday and Saturday so had to stick my neck out early. Make no mistake I wont be going in early next time out!
  7. 5/4 to beat Falkirk on Saturday with Ladbrokes. Any thoughts on that one?
  8. As mentioned before I can only access the Hills site for fractional odds so I wont be posting them. But I'll take Stenhousemuir to beat East 'thanks for losing midweek and thanks for all the money this past few years' Stirling
  9. Very good!! I'll catch up CaleyD first then i'll set my sights on you! :018: If it wasnt for a couple of late goals in recent weeks there wouldnt be much between us! 50 points is only 3 weeks of you being wrong and me being right remember!! 3 weeks :thumb04: Youve only had 20 so far but good luck catching CD, maybe Bob will offer you 20 quid for your box if you carry on picking winners.
  10. Another week of massive gains from Joe 10 weeks left...
  11. Cowdenbeath @ 1.91 May aswell flog this dead horse one more time...
  12. Missed it myself, obviously noticed the score trickle through on Saturday afternoon and it was only after about 7-0 I went to read up on the story...!! Crazy stuff.
  13. I have to be confident dont I? All my ante-post bets are looking good just now with my 140/40 on Cowdenbeath now looking weighed in, knew all about the Stranny, Berwick and Livi wage crisis before they hit the press but havent made the most of it on here which I could have. Theres along way to go and I have said already its still anybodies prize! I just think I'll be amongst the front runners... Offering me 200 quid in exchange for whatever potential prize I could go onto win... hmmm. Think I'll have to say NO DEAL but blimey its a good offer. So who is trying to psych you out? Have to say that one passed me by!
  14. Yep, its CaleyD's fancy table thats stopped me even looking at adding up points lately. It's quite good when you pick up points Joe as you get involved
  15. Indeed, think theres 11 weekends left of the comp this year, I'd say anybody within 100 points of me is in the running for top spot and most of the field could still get into the places... though in about 4-5 weeks it could get a bit touchy for most of you! The way I see it is the lowest possible score I can get now would still see me in profit so win or lose I know fine I'll be up in my own pocket by the seasons end, I think the number I have now should be enough to win but theres along way to go yet for me to lose it all.. Big swings all over the place when those at the top pick losers, its upto me and CaleyD to not cut our throats while scraping for the title or else neither of us will get anything.. its impossible for me not to be competitive though..! Bring it on I say, I can tell looking at the pattern of bets people are putting down that nobody here has my knowledge of the Scots lower leagues this year, too many people placing momentum bets on teams who win 2-3 games in a row, with no heed given to the crap theyve beaten on their way to building form. All the folk backing East Stirling a few weeks ago are testament to that. CaleyD has picked some great games for draws sadly and there will be alot more of them to come! Joe seems to be picking games with easy winners for now, think the top 3 is sewn up between us, though like I say anythings possible.
  16. Well played Bob, think the bookies will prob wake upto the fact that Caley are a different team under the new manager. Dont think youll get 4/1 our next home game HT/FT, well done to all of those who were on...! Sadly I wasnt one of them, Cowden let me down on all fronts, theyve gto 6 more games now over the next 3 weeks, I KNOW they'll get me my money back at some stage, just a case of at what price..
  17. Useless so far! Come on Cowdenbeath what you playing at..
  18. Cowdenbeath @ 2.37
  19. Think we'll need some kind of limit set up for the number of people who are allowed to back Cowdenbeath this weekend
  20. Ok im on my phone here and not confident this works.! The taffs 9-8 up at ht i see, bit close for a 1/4 shot but I dont understand Rugby at all, will watch from now on. And CaleyD :thumb04: Were you expecting anything else? I told you months ago youd all be chasing shadows by May! No more cup weekends to hide behind now :018:
  21. Dunfermline @ 2.62
  22. Forfar were a great shout for this weekend! So are we applying the 6 game rule this week should more get the chop?
  23. Hell of a week this by the looks of it, I can see 6 games where the prices are way out of line..! Lets see what you can do this time lads
  24. Joe I back every slection I pick on this competition with the best priced books online! I didnt back Annan.. need I say more! For me, its unfair to lose 10 points, at the time I was online there was one topic asking if the week should count or not and another with the odds up... with 1 reply... if I'd known everybody was going to play I wouldve put up a selection! I just assumed that with it being a cup weekend and with nobody posting on the odds topic, plus considering the fact that voiding the week was being discussed at all, it would be off.. but nevermind! Like I said I'll go with the majority, but in future rules mix ups none of you will get any change out of me And Joe, there arent enough Cup weekends in the season for you to ever catch up with me :thumb04:
  25. As I say I'll go with whatevers decided, up until tomorrow at least. Any further dragging in letting it stand or not and I'll start throwing my toys out of the pram. Would a comprimise of those who didnt place bets NOT being deducted 10 points be acceptable? With those who did get in on time being awarded their usual -10 or indeed the rare +plus points
