  1. I have just read your post on here Scarlet Ten out of Ten, one of your best old man, I hope people will take notice.
  2. I agree with you there Kingsmills at least on the disappointment aspect, however if financial reasons will not allow further addition to the squad now, it may be prudent to do a County and review things at the half way point of the season. There is still no need for the pessimistic feel running throughout the forum, we have a nucleus of triers on our books and a manager who knows how to get things back on track. So once again I say to the doubters show patience and understanding and let's get the togetherNess back.
  3. Thanks Huisdean I was sure someone else must have noticed it.

There could be another positive, With all our injuries the other lads are going to be learning the ropes of Yogi's strategies in a more concentrated fashion and improving their play. The less favoured players also have an opportunity to push themselves harder in an effort to get themselves established in the Team. I am sure J H will be drumming this into them. It certainly isn't going to be easy but as I have said before we are going to have to be patient and a lot more understanding of our circumstances over the next few games
  5. Well said Scottbamby.
  6. I know you were probably very disappointed when you posted this but that is an unwarranted slur on someone who served the club well in two highly successful spells with the club and who remains a club legend. Barry is developing well as a summariser and is a breath of fresh air compared to many of the inarticulate Glaswegians employed by the BBC in similar positions and has been quick in the past to shower us with praise when it's due. We were woeful on Saturday and, although I did not hear what he had to say, I am sure if he made any negative comments they were not borne out of any non existent sour grapes but the honest and accurate views of someone who is a fan and who was probably as frustrated as the rest of us. Not a slur at all purely my opinion. Hopefully he will get better and a bit more positive.
  7. Just comparing his comments against the twitter reports. Looked like we were reasonable during the second half.
  8. Barry Wilson being his usual negative self, as a player I liked him but a poor summariser and commentator. I think there is a bit of sour grapes there for his being released by ICT.
  9. With all these injuries we are going to have to be very very patient over the next few fixtures, doesn't look like there will be much done on the training ground as far as getting used to our system is concerned. Worrying yes but that's the disadvantage of having a small squad and little money.
  10. Well this is a very different side today, Yogi must have had a real headache getting that line up sorted out let's all just hope they manage to gell.
  11. Ah Kingsmills your glass is so unfilled, it is such a shame, you must be missing out in a lot of pleasurable moments but don't get too upset, age, with a little bit of luck, may change your perception of life and our aspiring Team...............I hope so for your sake. As Alex says It is very hard to judge until such times as we see just what the other teams have to offer this and he is right the signs are that it will be a much more competitive league this season. However knowing the usual negative comments would be coming in from the 'few' I thought I would put in a positive, though not an entirely unrealistic comment at this stage of the season. given as Rig points out we had such a long unproductive spell last season. Do you really think that I am pressurising the players and the manager, lol with what I have said. I am sure their personalities are much stronger than you imagine but thanks for the compliment I am surprised you think my words would have that much sway. Incidentally with my eyesight, I am afraid most times my glasses are pretty dark, it is only my attitude that is bright and realistic. Enjoy the season.
  12. I still do not rate Aberdeen as a Team....a really good squad of individuals but not a Team....They were very fortunate to get second place .....but for one poor spell that we had, we could have taken second spot.....I like the way our team is building....a good poacher required then we will be the ones pushing the Millionaires I feel this will be the year of the Highlanders with our neighbours clinching a top six too.
  13. I heard it was the advance party to an imminent takeover.
  14. A man without ambition is a poor man. An ambitious man will work for low pay if he knows he can prove himself and improve his wage given the chance.
  15. Can I echo all the posts on here, all ICT supporters would love to be out there cheering the lads on but unfortunately for many different reasons many of us can only be there in spirit. It's our new biggest game ever lads, you have come back at many a game and done us proud when it looked like it was all over for us. I am sure you can do it again, it is part and parcel of the ICT spirit. Pace yourselves well and enjoy the magnificence of the occasion .......the very best of luck lads and to all our support as well.............enjoy
  16. The confusion came from the Nairn Twitter site, originally it did say Doran then it was changed later to Foran so yes extremely lazy journalism.
  17. Putting this here might be the wrong place BUT Astra were beaten 1 - 5 tonight. Hope the Club is getting hold of a video showing how the Targu Mures goals came about, having said that Astra may have fielded a weakened Team in preparation for Thursday so I wont get too excited over that.
  18. My thoughts on the Astra defence were similar to Renegades, they closed us down very quickly every time, bar once when from a throw in near the centre of the pitch when a touch from Tansey ( I think) sent the ball down the wing to send, I think it was Doran, through on an open run from which he had a great opportunity to score. So there are weaknesses there but to breach that defence we need lots of pace and players running into the box continually when we break. I don't think Foran is ready yet to start the game but definitely needs to be on if we haven't scored by the first 15mins of the second half. Our own defence was good, however much as I like big Drapes in there perhaps Wedderburn could be the better option for the away leg. Referees have a habit of picking on Draper for the slightest bit of contact. Fon Williams definitely was not happy with the 'wall' and looked distracted as the kick was taken, a slight timing error or late sighting caused the mishap not sure which but he did get his hand to what was a very good strike. I don't place too much blame on him. Incidentally nobody in the wall jumped as I can remember, they seemed flat footed, something to learn there. We can still win our way through to the next round, a one nil lead for the home leg can be quite scary and they will be conscious of that. Wouldn't surprise me if they changed tactics and go for a quick goal to seal the tie.
