  1. Just saying theres no need to panic. Groups A,C and D are quite likely to progress in 2nd place We don't need to worry about United winning both their games, if we win both of ours. If we had played the 2 smallest clubs in our group we would also probably be on 6 points and in second. Doesn't mean that much half way through the group stages what the other teams are doing.
  2. 10 or even 9 should see us through. 8 is a big gamble.
  3. We didn't win and there's not a lot can be done about it, If we played badly and still lost there would be a lot of moaning on here, we are still very much in it after our draw. Funnily enough 6 out of the 9 SPFL clubs aren't leading their group 3 out of 9 have obtained the full points. One game at a time as they say.
  4. To be fair not all media tables are up to date or even aware of the bonus point system, IE, X v Y and X wins on penalties aet.
  5. An enjoyable game to watch. It's nice to watch good football instead of turning up out of sheer loyalty. Didn't win the penalties but great experience for our young keeper and well impressed with the new signings. The game should have been out of sight in the first half but will be on another day. The new format gets a thumbs up from me too. 2 wins and it should be enough for progression, nice to finish top but remember it's 8 winners, 4 runners up and the 4 euro clubs all go in the mix for the next stage.
  6. Hi BCP, Usually if we start publicising who we are interested in, the clubs with more cash on offer snap them up. Think of it like the X factor where they are looking at pictures trying to whittle it down as to who to approach, the players coming in have probably been on ICTs radar for a while and are wanted by the club, cash is usually the sticking point in the short term, longer term career advancement usually outweighs the former.
  7. arrive early. It looks like a bit of thought has been put into it, another reason to buy a season ticket book
  8. I meant an informal turnstile where somebody takes your ticket to let you into the stadium. Instead of leaving the bar, queuing outside to then come in an official turnstile. You still need to have a ST book or match ticket to gain entry to the bar.
  9. If all the games are ticket only would it be possible to have an informal ticket collection point in the bar, might increase sales and saves going out just to come back in again and you need a ticket to get into the bar in the first place, especially if there's music on for the Arbroath match.
  10. AFC The Sheep are on Fire. Use a card entry system which delayed things initially but works well now that everyone is used to it. Only trouble is that we have a lower volume of fans so costs would go up per head to install it.
  11. Would there be any need? Anything official goes through the proper channels. Otherwise you would be looking on staff members Twitter accounts to pick up bits and pieces.
  12. Any updates for tonight's game?
  13. Nothing wrong with training at a few different locations. Falcon square might be handy for a quick training/ signing session during the school holidays. Or in front of the castle for media interest.
  14. If you've taken all that in when running you will have to be careful that you don't run in to the canal.
  15. A Twitter account is a media conduit just like the back page of a local news paper and not a true representation of cash paying fans. It's fantastic to get info out to nearly 20,000 people but we had 15,000 cash paying fans at a cup final. Could we say that's 12,000 over and above an average home supporters gate. If each additional cup final fan attended only one home game a season the gate would increase by over 600 per game. If people believe there are 20-30 battalions of fans waiting in the wings to march into TCS if it changes to ICT FC, then we may as well call it #ICTFC and I wouldn't mind that if it would genuinely bring in more than Aberdeen does but it won't. Get the merchandise out there in volume which has been achieved. If Cabrini don't alter their clothing designs then the badge is the only thing that can be altered to repeat sales, it just doesn't seem right altering the badge at the drop of a hat. Heres hoping I don't get told the big flags are now out of date. On the plus side, the new kit look good, the squads shaping up well and the 1st home game is in a few days.
  16. I recall Higginbotham reading the writing on a big flag before taking a corner and kicking it straight to Shinnie on the edge of the box, Shinnie said thank you very much and was off up the park in no time whilst Higginbothams team mates were still in the box wondering what just happened.
  17. I hope I've the free time to put my name in the hat for a shirt sponsors evening meal at the stadium this season.
  18. Ive just noticed that Season ticket holders are getting a discount to buy tickets for this one in advance. £10 for adults, £5 for concession and under 16s
  19. Did someone say treble.
  20. The Shadows? is that a Rossshire band?
  21. Maybe it is Batshuayi and he popped into JD Sports to pick up some gear before the new top came out. If it is Mutumbo. Once a Caley Thistle player always a Caley Thistle player.
  22. 12th Man posted a topic in Caley Thistle
I see the club are looking for a band / musician to play in the bar prior to the Arbroath match. I may even get a taxi in and have a few beers. I wonder if Chris Lemon of Inverness Gigs would be able to pass on the info. http://ictfc.com/news/club-news/1790-calling-all-local-bands
  23. Looking like the squad is shaping up well with a good balance of positions. I felt we took a step back last season with new recruits early on, now it looks like a step forward to compliment our current team.
  24. He was a sub and came on for 20-30 mins. I watched the match on tv whilst on holiday. Yes your right it's debatable if he played any football He didn't get many chances for the time he came on for.
  25. My my my Fon Williams. Why why why Fon Williams We couldn't see Why you wern't picked out of the 3 To send Portugal home by winning on penalties.
