  1. Going right back to the beginning, as well as the sadness that went with the last Caley - Jags derby game, I felt real anticipation at the thought of my home town getting a shot at the moving up the leagues and seeing how far we could go. We've made a new history within Scottish football since then which is great and along the way: the Pele years... Dennis's goal at Hearts... Mike T on the rampage (up the wing that is) Paul Cherry tackles... Charlie Christie's threaded 10 yard passes... ICT taking on Gazza, Laudrup, Albertz etc at Tannadice... really feeling we could create an upset at Parkhead that night and... Promotions... Adam Rooney's goals - and misses... Relegation wasnt nice but the first division was enjoyable in lots of games. More recently I have to be in Glasgow a lot with my work and fairly walking tall in the office down there these days is also great.
  2. That's me all booked up re travel and accom. See you all in the Four in Hand then. Famous Five stand for the Famous ICT - sounds good. We have a real chance with this game so hopefully we will have a good support.
  3. Having cheered and cried in the Howden end, marvelled at a young Mr Christie from the cinders at Kingsmills and avoided one or two right hooks at Grant St, life is all about change, nothing lasts forever but the present is there to be enjoyed. Celtic Inverness Caledonian Thistle the rest.....
  4. Nice one Kingsmills. Some fine attacking play again today and I feel so chuffed to be 2nd top at Christmas, with so many good goals scored, plus being so far ahead of the Dingers, that I have no wish to have a go at anyone. As a football fan this won't last of course but right now it's all good. Peace and goodwill to all who reside in the Sneck and those who support us from afar
  5. Was at Ibrox last season and our wee group in the corner were warned constantly to sit down and behave - 20 feet away from a stand of 10,000 screaming maddies singing 'their traditional songs' who never sat down once. Didn't expect the polis to arrest an entire stand but when one of the ICT fans protested to a cop at their un-evenhanded treatment, he was taken aside and give a talking to. Maybe they thought we were from HRM Tax.....
  6. Not condoning coin throwing or running on the pitch but celebrating in front of opposing fans is not cool and has crept in more and more. It used to be a no no but you see it more and more recently. Shows a distinct lack of class. Scoring good goals and being a **** is one thing but when you stop scoring good goals then your just a **** - Vigurs take note.
  7. From The Herald - "Oh, I look forward to January 2," said Adams. "I wish it was tomorrow, because there are a few smirks to wipe off a few peoples' faces." This is very un-Christian talk DA, your boss should have a word with you. Are we not morally correct in enjoying our wins then? Get a life man - DA - ducks ar*e.
  8. Yep, fantastic all round today. The Big Four of Warren, Meekings, Draper and Tudor-Jones were immense again today (and I am ashamed to say I had my doubts early on in the season). Ross Draper is a real football player (the new Paul Cherry?) and Billy Mackay must be the fittest player around, does he plug himself into the national grid before games? Respect to Tony Reguero too, geat save at a crucial moment. Ritchie, you've always put your body on the line for the team but take care wi the auld fizzer. Rock On Inverness!!
  9. Thought the guy today was just a bit too close to the mic for our comfort Personally I would ban all DJ types from football announcing. Give these guys a mic and sound system and they take any place over. Why can't we just get the chance to talk to each other about the game rather than be assaulted by someone elses muisc tastes before the game starts and at half-time? Last home game - I mean do we really need to ever hear' YMCA' again - ever? Its just my opinion and I am a total music snob admittedly. Fountains of Wayne "All Kinds of Time" for my favoutire sport related song, I could live with that.

    Billy McKay

Fabulous goal today from Billy. To volley that in from the angle and place it just right was brilliant. We've see some great goals from the team already this seaon. Long may it continue.
  11. They should have thrown a pound - the County end would have emptied...
  12. DA moaning about' Fergie time'? He claimed 2 minutes but he was only a few feet away from the board which said 3 minutes and his own announcer said min 3 mins. Moaned about 'offside goal' but not the wicked deflection for their goal or the pathetic fall for Britton's freekick. Mind you it was worth it to see his wee greetin face...
  13. Agree re the 'non-story' and change of headline. However I dont recall many of the season ticket holders booing at the game, mostly the' derby's and old firm only' brigade, with a wee drink in possibly? You know, the one's with the ICT scarves that look brand new as they only get them out of the cupboard a couple of times a year. Mind you with home gates so low we need every paying punter I guess. Best moment of the season so far? - the goal at Parkhead and Robert's turn that left two Celtic defenders on their arses. Fantastic.
