  1. "a terse Derek Adams did not want to be drawn on Richard Brittain's injury". a terse Derek Adams? an erse Derek Adams
  2. IHE...man of vision I was just hoping to see a decent squad building and some cup drama. At the start of the season I would have said top three for months was not possible on our resources. I may even buy a lottery ticket this weekend.......
  3. Was wondering about looking a complete tube in a Hawaiian shirt and sunnies - in DINGWALL but maybe beach balls would be quite fitting for playing on a sandpit. I will say it has been very cool looking at the league table for months with Inverness CT sitting in the top three
  4. RiG, their site is like most music played on MFR - mince...
  5. Not accepting the disrespectful tag either. What numptie was in charge of this lap of honour or whatever anyway? Wouldn't take a genius to work out that at the end of the game if we won, lost or drew, get over to the fans right away and take some extended applause as it was last game and get off. That's what should have been announced and then the players would have had a decent 'final home game moment'. I agree about folk heading out before the final whistle (some may well have been going for tickets) but going up the tunnel and leaving folk hanging about unsure of things was crass. Fans would as usual be heading for exits, taking in the win or defeat and what it might mean and thinking about getting home through the traffic, rain, busses were waiting etc.
  6. Dundee is a fine place. Used to do gigs there a lot and recall fighting our way out of a local chippy when a riot broke out among the locals over the last saveloy (quite difficult - but not impossible - to keep your fish supper in one piece while punching a ned's neb) then our roadie got squarely nutted (broken nose, A&E, stitches etc) at the club afterwards. Friendly place, grand night.... I don't think we'd have anything to fear from some of the more far flung places - mind you I guess Sneck is far flung if you're from Tirana
  7. Could have been arranged IHE but some buggers drunk the beer that Doc was going to use for the De Lorean's flux converter On 19th May 1940 Winston Churchill gave his famous World War 2 speech including - "I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears and sweat" That'll do for us on Sunday but just without the tears...
  8. Indeed. How many hours and how many £millions....
  9. Beer and bed for all as its out past Cannich to Glen Affric early doors tomorrow... Beer and bed in the Gaels own country and a red hot derby match to look forward to - not a bad week guys. All the best
  10. Yes Dougal, there's a classic Jethro Tull song "Living in The Past" - a great song but not recommended as a way of life.... Chill dude
  11. Yes indeed, I have been guilty of getting in a state about recent results but to be true, it's a long way now from the days of looking forward to maybe beating Albion Rovers. According to 'On This Day' on the club site, on 13 May 1995 we played out a 1-1 draw with Queens Park in front of 640. If you get a chance, have a look at a book called Stramash by Daniel Gray (Luath Press). Very funny but also reminded me of the past glories of many of the clubs now down the leagues below us, Cowdenbeath, Alloa, Morton etc. and the huge part they had in the history of their towns when fans worked tough jobs in pits and factories. Also reminded me about how recent we are as ICT and the success we've had moving up. Feb 2010 at Raith Rovers - "Inverness's Golabek, still carrying weight from Christmas, completed the attention-grab by bolting into a gloriously meaty challenge. Supporters looked to see if a train had derailed and seagulls dived for cover" - we won 4-0 and went on the win the 1st Division. Oh happy day
  12. I'm paid to do my job not get hugs and high fives every time I do something right. Too much 'love' expected in football nowadays. Players and managers are paid to compete in games and bloodywell get on with it. I can't be doing with arranged laps of honour and the like. Crowd reaction should be spontaneous but it ain't going to happen when you fanny about in front of goal all through a game and get beat at home. In the pictures I saw of the lap after the Hearts game the crowd had gone home as well, as they were gutted at getting beat and wanted to get to the pub or home. These are the same fans who stumped up hundreds of thousands to keep their club alive so they can't be faulted and I think they had every right to feck off after a derby defeat. If the team wins next week they will see massive appreciation and it will be fully deserved. If they lose, then they will still get appreciation for the season they have put in. These arranged things are a pain - "don't run on the pitch or it'll be cancelled" etc. nonsense.
  13. Had the Champagne on ice ...........but I've opened the Buckfast instead
  14. I didn't know that this was normal practice in terms of recommending being sharp with cards, almost card happy from the fans viewpoint. If it is TV that is behind this approach then that's the height of irony, as due to the massive TV coverage now, card decisions are endlessly debated and refs further slagged off - even when with reruns, no-one agrees (Man Utd in Champions league recently as a good example, when the guy got threats afterwards) Most TV reporters and pundits still give credit to those refs who take a wee bit time with big card decisions, check with the other officials etc rather than having games hugely affected by 'could have gone either way' calls. Maybe TV companies want more controversial refereeing though as good for ratings? It's ironic that right now in televised games, with instant reply available to thousands at home, in the pub, some in the crowd on mobiles and even for radio commentators in studios, the only person who can't have a quick second look is the referee.
  15. If you get in quick, in the first 500 there's also a tenner off the new away strip.
  16. ICTPAISLEY you are hereby condemned to wear a baggy tracksuit with tight leggings and a County tie for that last sentence...
  17. Do it without the ginger bumfluff?
  18. Either of the above, but worth considering double teaming on Mackay-Steven like we did with Shinnie/Ross on Humphries?
  19. The Djebi-Zadi foreclosure... The Djebi_Zadi disclosure... The Djebi-Zadi close... The "Why are we all DEAF from that effing soundsystem" end!!
  20. http://www.huttondressedaslahm.com/2013/05/here-come-summer.html Some good points made in this link from BBC comment.
  21. Whatever Adams does in football is undone by the fact that he is a complete arse. The players might have clean sheets but I bet he doesn't - w**ker!
  22. http://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/scotsol/homepage/sport/spl/4886759/Caley-want-Europe-Im-after-world.html Manager McTurk added - “It’s funny to think about wee boys and girls running about Phuket in County strips!" - add your own punchline....
  23. 3-3 at Dingwall in the cup and DA's wee fizzer at the end
  24. As well as the new youth development programme, maybe we should have a ref development school with better coaching and preparation for officials. Degree of difficulty, player acting and bad decisions aside, it makes such a huge difference to the standard of a game when a really good official is running it. How good is it when a ref lets a game flow or gives strong warnings instead of getting out the cards right away? When we're trying to get folk to attend, too often we see a good game ruined by a poor ref.
  25. With the recent re-signings and Chris back, in defence our cup runneth over
