  1. They go on and on about Dundee Uniteds youngsters as if they are Fergies fledglings but never a word about how well our young players have done. Billy McKay - 25 Ross Draper - 25 James Vincent - 24 Marley Watkins - 23 Graeme Shinnie - 22 Aaron Doran - 22 Nick Ross - 22 Josh Meekings - 21 Ben Greenhalgh - 21 Liam Polworth - 19 They don't get the credit or recognition they deserve.
  2. No wonder Grassa resigned. This is the most indefensible clusterf*ck in the history of the club. Absolutely gutted by this decision.
  3. 1) Calder 2) Tokely 3) G Shinnie 4) Warren 5) Mann 6) Sheerin 7) Wilson 8) Wyness 9) McKay 10) A Shinnie 11) Robson
  4. John Hughes is so thick he makes Craig Brewster sound like an intellectual. No thanks.
  5. Levine's record is nothing to write home about. He had modest 'success' at Hearts and Dundee United. Finishing relatively high up the SPL with one of the biggest budgets in the SPL doesn't impress me. Any average manager could achieve that. His teams usually play ugly, negative football. He was an absolute disaster at Leicester and the worst, and most hated Scotland manager ever. Hartley has taken Alloa way further than an average manager would be able to. He's shown he can work with a small budget to produce teams capable of punching above their weight, whilst even playing attractive football. Exactly what we need.
  6. So according to this clown, equidistance trumps capacity for the Rangers Vs Raith, Ramsdens cup final. 2 central belt teams, one of whom has an average home attendance of over 43,000. But capacity trumps equidistance for 2 teams at opposite ends of the country, even though Hearts average attendance is 30,000 less than Rangers. This doesn't make sense. Doncaster is a snake.
  7. Heathmount regulars will be in for a treat tonight.
  8. The idea that we should accept de facto home advantage in favour of Hearts because it'll bring in more revenue is a con. If it tips the balance in favour of Hearts then we'll completely miss out on the far greater revenue that comes from getting to the final. I'd rather a medium sized crowd and safe passage to the final than a bumper crowd and losing again.
  9. I would be delighted with Adams but can't see him making such an invidious move. He's not that kind of guy.
  10. When it's all said and done, after 5 years in charge, (some of which were lacklustre to say the least) and with a bigger budget than any previous manager, all he achieved was to finish 3 places higher than Brewster did (interestingly Brewster's side finished 7th with 58 points whilst Butcher's finished 4th with 54 points). Whilst I would agree that Butcher eventually assembled a very good squad, we can't allow him or his media cheerleaders to give the false impression that he was some kind of messiah figure who single handedly transformed a diddy club and dragged them into the big time. Most of the bricks had already been laid by those who came before.
  11. Best - Gary Warren Worst - Releasing Grant Munro
  12. Now that we're losing Marsella, we'll need someone in our new team with a proven record of spotting talent. Steve Paterson plucked the likes of Paul Sheerin, Barry Robson, Paul Ritchie, Dennis Wyness, Barry Wilson, David Xausa and Roy McBain from the football wilderness. Obviously he had some well documented problems after he left the club. But he's now returned to the same position he was in when he first arrived, managing a team at the top of the Highland league. I would take him as manager outright, but he could also be a very good, experienced number 2 for a young up and coming coach like Paul Hartley.
  13. Disgraceful decision. Venue and kick off time couldn't be any more biased against ICT fans. Was looking forward to the semi final, but have no intention of attending anymore. Hope the club plays hardball with this one. They really need to take a stand against these ****s.
  14. Manager - Paul Hartley Assistant - Steve Paterson
