  1. They could finish the job!
  2. I’m pretty sure their cash flow will be negative at present, necessitating the loan. What will give the lender comfort is that season ticket money will start turning up in around 3 months time, allowing them to clear the debt.
  3. Not just their car park, but various other assets too. If we have to go down that route, then the game is probably up.
  4. FFS, can’t make the Saturday
  5. That's what does my head in, no consistency in the same game. Brad was stupid to get involved when on a booking, but it annoying to see opponents get away with the same behaviour. I wonder if our reputation is leading to some soft bookings?
  6. That seems like the logical place, which probably rules it out immediately
  7. We are not alone in this if the Aberdeen, Hearts or Hibs fans that attended their recent cup finals turned up every week, they'd need much bigger stadiums Everyone wants to see their team when they are doing well, however notional the actual attachment to that team
  8. It's nothing to do with the SFA. It's an SPFL tournament. It was invented as part of the centennial celebrations of the SFL to give lower division teams another trophy they could realistically hope to win. The revamp to include non Scottish teams was probably a good idea to regenerate interest, the decision to not join up the schedule with the schedule of the other domestic leagues was definitely not a good idea. Sadly, as soon as tv become involved, kick off times become bizarre, and people would rather watch the game in a warm, dry room with a beer, rather than a cold, wet, windy stadium that has probably run out of hot water before half time. Unforgivably, the people that run Scottish football are too willing to sell TV rights (and so give up control of fixture times) for a price that feels way too generous.
  9. The premiership side get a bye to the playoff final. There is 1 QF - Champ 3 v Champ 4 1 SF - Champ 2 v QF Winner Final - Prem 11 v SF Winner So the only real advantage is to finish 2nd and have 2 less games
  10. The Queens players seemed surprisingly unbothered by it.
  11. The less said about that the better!
  12. Why did Polworth & Vigurs get booked in the first place? BBC Live Text is its usual effusive self.
  13. According to SFA disciplinary site, last week incurred a one game ban, so Raven should be available for Livi.
  14. As long as he's nowhere near Palmerston this weekend. As far as his fourth official duties go, even he can't mess up holding an electronic board, surely.
  15. The fact that one of our "top" officials was fast-tracked while his dad was head of refereeing tells you all you need to know about the integrity of our officiating. The fact that this "top" official is useless, kind of underlines the point.
  16. Difficult to see the penalty properly on a small screen, but it's never a good idea to give a Scottish ref a decision to make. I take it Vigurs was booked for his reaction to the blatant simulation? If that's a yellow, how the hell did Samson stay on?

I think they binned this requirement along with the all seater stadium requirement a few years back.
  18. That chip from Vigurs... The whole move reminds me of the goal Ryan Christie scored against Dundee at Dens.
  19. Aren't most things? I'm sure if the board knew how things would turn out, they would have done it differently. I have said before that I was glad at the time that the board decided to rebuff both the approach for Hughes by United, and Aberdeen's bid for Tansey. With the benefit of hindsight, I wish they'd accepted both.
  20. No, the seeds were sown when the club decided to hold on to a Scottish Cup manager, and didn't let hIm speak to Dundee United.
  21. The problem is that, while we were playing it along the back, there was often little or no movement in front of the defence, which led them to keep passing along the back 4. All it needed was a misplaced pass, a heavy touch, or an interception of a telegraphed pass, and the opposition were through on goal. While the opposition can't hurt you if you've got the ball, they can if you give it to them cheaply. The key is moving the ball at pace. We didn't. Everything was so ponderous at times, that the opposition had time to regroup and reorganise in front of us, removing any space.
