  1. I get why you might leave out Mulraney and Cole, but the four central midfielders has been such a disaster that it doesn't fill me with hope.
  2. Especially since we look more than capable of achieving relegation without their help.
  3. I think it will be very competitive - two out of Falkirk, Dundee Utd and Hamilton will be there, and a lot of the others are no easy touches. David Hopkin lived just along the road from me when he was at Leeds!
  4. I can't believe that it is still possible to see a way out of this. Not that I think it will happen, but that really will be the great escape!
  5. A microcosm of our season by the sound of things. Start ok, fall apart in the middle, provide a little bit of hope, but ultimately too little, too late. Motherwell and Hamilton result wasn't the one we wanted, but that pales into insignificance against the 31 results of ours that haven't been the ones we wanted. Incredibly, we are not down yet - talk about a long, slow, painful death!
  6. Total speculation. Out of work football manager may get other job if it becomes available.
  7. Sure you ain't getting confused with Michael Eisner, former CEO of Disney?
  8. Hughes had us playing some pretty turgid football last season. Relegation was a possibility up until we found some form after the split, I think our run of results post split put a bit of a gloss on last season. Our inability to defend cross balls is something that we inherited from Hughes - even in the cup winning season the number of goals we lost from either crosses, or the second ball in after clearing a corner was frightening. Hughes inability to spot players was a weakness too - and just how many midfielders does one club need to sign? Having said all that, if Hughes wasn't the answer, Foran definitely isn't. All he has managed to do is polish the turd that Hughes left behind into a nice shiny relegation!
  9. It's the benefit of hindsight. At the time I was delighted that the board had stood up and held on to a couple of prize assets. Eighteen months later and we've lost one for nothing and had to pay to get rid of the other, so it's not hard to see why people think we should have cashed in at the time.
  10. I'm not sure what else he could say - he won't want to be seen as chucking it. And he's right, 12 points would probably get us a least a play off. However, I'd be very interested to know how he thinks he he can go from 4 wins in 34 to 4 out 4.
  11. At least after last night, it doesn't matter what the table says. I know we're doomed.
  12. However, the failure of the board to act when it became clear that Foran wasn't up to the task on his own was criminal.
  13. Boden could probably do a job down a level. I think Tremarco extendeded, but I don't know when he and Dorian would be available. I'd be inclined to punt Warren - I think he's legs are either going or gone, and discipline wise he is a liability. But with a decent management team (NOT the current incumbents) there is the basis of a team that could at least compete in the championship.
  14. With the benefit of hindsight, the board's first mistake was in not letting Hughes speak to united, and that was compounded by not taking the money for Tansey. So when it all went wrong with Hughes, the cheap option of Foran was probably the only way.
  15. It's on the BT Sport website too http://sport.bt.com/live-on-bt-sport-01364117948039#?category=football&competition=Scottish Football#FOOTLISTINGS
  16. Every week, after our result, I think "well that's it", and yet when I look at the table I think I can see a way out. I wish the inevitable would come quickly now.
  17. Remind me. Does all of this round thing have to be over the line before it's a goal?
