  1. any word of an injury to Jake? He got a few clatters on Tuesday night, and was subbed at half-time. Looked to have a slight limp in the 'technical area' during the 2nd half.
  2. I didn't want to get involved after getting absolutely lambasted following my previous comments about this abbreviation and tagline...but I feel that this may be the club trying to connect with younger fans. specifically those that have an affiliation to neither the C or the T, and probably who were born post 'M'! current, 'real' fans will not turn away from the club, but they do need to appeal to the youth, to secure a solid fanbase for the future. It strikes me that there seem to be a lot of people looking back, when we should be looking forward....
  3. what site is this on?
  4. brown impressed me there in the centre.
  5. no meekings at buckie or clach as well??
  6. He looked a bit 'frozen-out'. was making decent runs and passes were behind him. he seemed to either switch wings, or just go roaming towards the end of the second half just to get on the ball, and in fact put the cross in for the 3rd goal from the left, when he started on the right. Good that he's versatile, and good way to confuse the other team.
  7. discipline. Esson was great barking directions, but players were getting dragged out of position following the ball, and obviously, no-one was there to fill the void. very narrow again, even with Mulraney and the young Robertson, but we seemed unwilling to put it out there.
  8. I came away feeling much more positive than this? It is clear though, that it's still the final 3rd that's an issue. Although jake was putting in some handy crosses, would be nice to see him and Boden linking up. Maybe tomorrow night
  9. And Inverness City? Abbreviated would look like a sticky keyboard! ICCCTFC
  10. Anyway....the new shirts are nice!!
  11. Agree with all of this, fair reflection of the game.
  12. Boden looked quite handy._denied a couple of goals by some great goalkeeping. Thought maclennan and Sutherland both did well 1st half, fisher didnt impress much. The young lad who played RM both tonight (2nd half ) and at the broch was very impressive.
  13. Clearly im on my own here but i get everything about the history and the recognition etc but the club haven't changed their name ? Its just been abbreviated on a shirt. Never mind, the beauty about being people is that we can all have our own opinion. Maybe the way i expressed mine wasnt the best....hope noone was offended Why so serious?
  14. Don't mean to show contempt to anyone, and maybe im just too young to 'get it' but i just cant see the big deal about abbreviating one of the longest club names in British football ?
  15. the new club crest, which should be easily replicated on the new shirts. I'm sending it off to Cabrini just now, so it'll get onto all the pre-orders.
  16. more people have shown contempt for the use of an abbreviation than bothered to support the youngsters on Saturday! #keyboardwarriors
  17. well if that's how you feel why abbreviate fc? should you not refer to the club as Inverness Caledonian Thistle Football Club at all times? and I'm pretty sure ICTFC does have some identification with our club, maybe in that it is the clubs name abbreviated?? move with the times! the merger happened a wee while ago now.......
  18. or perhaps its the club trying to 'connect with the fans' more.
  19. don't see what all the fuss is about?!
  20. think we should be turning out regardless. I thought it was a bit disrespectful to the young lads who put in a pretty good shift on Saturday that there was only a handful of people making the trip.... well, regardless, it was a scorching day in the broch sunshine, and no a bad game of footy either. looking forward to tomorrow night, seeing the newbies in the flesh for the first time.
  21. for 'soon' read two years!
  22. The clubs engagement with children of school age is excellent. They have been running their hot-shots programme for 'ever' now, and this WILL prove beneficial going forward. Some investment from the government etc with regards to youth development would be beneficial for clubs and communities across Scotland. The %age of youth playing football professionally that come from 'deprived' areas has dropped dramatically in recent years, so extra funding would help it become available to all, either by subsidising the club so they can charge less or paying for transport etc. it's a shame there's no wealthy businessmen on this side of the bridge with deep pockets. I'd rather see inward investment in this area than someone bank-rolling a first team that have no desire other than chasing the wage. I quite like the club being used a shop window - it ensures players give there all.
  23. Hopefully his defence mind will dovetail nicely with Richie's attack mind, aids with the continuity, and might also save us a bob or two as we'll no longer need to pay him off with yogi. All positive in my book.
