Catering Issues at ICT - feedback
It all seems to me like that Lindsays wasn't brought in merely to improve the catering situation, but mainly because the club couldn't be bothered dealing with it and would rather have a large catering company deal with the hassle, whilst still making a decent cut of the takings no doubt. I have no doubt that our prices are in line with other 1st divison grounds as well...just so long as they are run by the same caterers. There is always a problem with these large companies in terms of quality. Food generally always found lacking. It got no soul man! However I imagine they'll get the queuing sorted. The more punters they get through, the more money made. If people wait too long they turn around and dont hand over their dosh which is not what they want.

The Offside Rule
This was actually trialed in Scottish football in the 70s Im sure. I remember watching one of those football reruns shows and this being explain. It obviously didnt work. Maybe we should have a system like the sudden death in ice hockey whereby if the teams cant be seperated a man is taken off each side to make it maore interesting. So if at half time the score is 0-0 a coach chosen man from each side is removed and it goes to 10 a side. Im sorry I think there are alot of goals in football. But if a team sits back and defends its still damn hard to score.

Thats the last straw now
Hmmm I wonder if it hadn't been noticed he hadn't been making the payments (through no fault of his own I stress...probably) and he continued to watch them scot free he'd complain? One of two thinks have been done me thinks. 1- bank statements were NOT checked. OP had no idea if payments being made and that some illegal fraudster posing as a rich Nigerian diplomat has in fact been pinching out of his account for ages. 2- Bank statement HAS BEEN checked and, what, they're not taking the money? Ah well I'll keep that stoom. Maybe no one will notice. Chance it me thinks. If they eventually bill me I'll pay it of course, but its their job, no mine. I make a point of checking my statements. I wanna know Im paying my DDs etc so Im not given a shock 5 months down the line. Mind you It doesn't stop the bank phoning up and checking what you've been spending your money on and it is in fact you thats been spending it. "?55 in pub" Yep me. "62.75" in club (same night, cash back included) yep, me again ... and then getting told your card has been comprimised and would be cancelled anyway as it had been used in a place where known fraud had taken place. Then when i ask "Any chance you could tell me where this was, so i dont use it there again?" "sorry we cant give out that information, computer says naw!" So in the end whilst the bank/DD company or club maybe should have got in contact earlier (if they didn't) OP should have been checking his statements and making sure, if he wants to be sure events like this didnt arise.

SPL ponders expansion plans ....
But they need the Scottish game more than the Scottish game needs them. Time to call their bluff. Now they do, seeing as England wont have them unless they agree to start from the bottom. I still cant see why they dont see the benefits as the OF game will again become a good game to watch. seeing it happen 4-7 times a season kinda takes the shine off it aswell. And for the thing that the SPL have said about the seeking their own TV deals is bang out of order. Hopefully they will be stupid enough to do it and get expelled from the SPL. Teams all around Europe have their own Tv deals. Im sure Ajax, Barca and Real all have them. Old Firm just want to follow suite. No harm in that. You seem to post a lot of nonsense half of the time and just blatantly make things up the other half. Where did you get that lot of guff from? Was it just made up again? The old firm do not get 5 votes each, every club get 1 vote and and it was changed a few years back from an 8-4 vote needed to pass something to a 11-1 vote. I thought it was changed to a 8-4 from an 11-1 rather than the other way around as the Old Firm could just vetoe everything previously. Now 5 teams need to object. Im pretty sure we had a 10-2 vote for us coming into the SPL which stopped us but then it was changed. Ken Mackie paid a few boys a few visits and we got a vote that took us into the SPL. I'd be in favour of two leagues of 16/18 then revamp everything else into 2 regional leagues. North and South. With winner of each coming into the 2nd league. and the runners up entering into playoffs with 2nd bottom teams. As for the 2 top leagues. 3 up, 3 down from the SPL. Makes it interesting. Winners, runners up automatically and SPL2 play-off winners (teams 3-6). And just get rid off the Split. Bring in a start of season 2 leg or one off League Super Cup. Winners and Runners up of top flight.(satisfies the old firm with extra game etc)

Judgement Day?
Where did all these loan signings come from? Bob Malcolm?! Ben Hutchison?!! I knew they got Andrew Shinnie but thought that was it. A win would cut the gap right down and cast doubt into their minds and bring belief to all the other challengers who would not doubt think, if they can do it so can we. It could turn it into a genuine 4 horse race and a cracking end of season finale.

My favourite was the Euro 96 tartan effort. Bring back the Tartan!

Michael Owen
Well at least Macheda is back in training. Ha Ha! He has certainly been one of the unluckiest in terms of injuries in his career. But as said at least he's earnt a few bob. Interestingly it was his 1st real injury playing for Man Utd.

I thought it was to do with the fact only bank of England notes made in the royal mint are technically legal tender. That arguements raged on before and Im not sure I've ever seen a proper answer for it. Sometimes I think its more to do with the ignorance of the shopkeeper. Sometimes they genuinely are not sure if a Scottish note is valid currency (much like the Irish punt wasn't in Britain) I dont know how often it is because they are trying to belittle and actually be rasict. I dont see how deliberately not supporting your main international sporting rivals can be constituted as rascism. Or how mockingly supporting their opposition is anything other than banter. I dont think anyone genuinely puts in a great deal of effort into supporting Englands opposition. I've never seen anyone devasted by England beating someone else. Do I want England to win the World cup? No more than I want Ross County to win the league. (I dont) So if another team prevents them doing this I wouldn't be ecstatic, just glad I wouldn't here about it for the next 50 years. And If we, in not supporting Englan, partake in a little light hearted banter, then I really cant see a problem.

Sanchez
He's not the finished article but certainly has the raw talent. A little polish and he could be a very good player. Not that he's not already good.

SPL ponders expansion plans ....
Regarding the problem of the OF only playing each other twice, with the 16 teams playing each other twice it comes to 30 games over the season. Im sure there is a Fifa or Uefa rule that stipulates there has to be a certain amount of games in a league season so 30 would not be enough. However an 8 team split with 7 further games would allow for a 3rd game, though I think having a neutral venue would be a good idea to save on bias arguments. Old firm - Hampden etc (a similar sized ground, not far away from the clubs grounds) Perhaps just have 18 teams and a 34 game season like Italy. This allows for a few spare weeks compared to the 38 game calendar. A winter break perhaps?

Scotland Squad for Czech Republic Game
I'd like to see Dorrans and Faddy flank a main striker in home games with the sitting midfield 3 of Thompson, Brown and Fletcher. They could then tuck back to protect the full backs. Fletcher and Brown could match up in the middle and Thompson cover the hole infront of defence. Play Miller/Fletcher away and Boyd at home against weaker teams or coming of the bench like last night. He showed last night how much his overall game has improved in the last year with his hold up play and almost set up a goal for Whitaker near the end. All round good start against a team 20 places above in the rankings. I feel some optimism coming back to the tartan army.

Scotland Squad for Czech Republic Game
Would it not be more likely to have Dorrans on the right and Robson on the left. Thats the sides I've seen them both more often on at club level. Or Brown right, Dorrans left with Robson, Fletcher and Thompson in the middle. I dont think much of Miller as a lone striker. I mean sure he's got the graft and running, but when it comes to finishing, he is often wastful or bottles it.

Wayne Bridge
Terry is a scumbag of a human being who has repeatedly cheated on his partner including one seedy instance where he had sex with a young girl, not underage I add, in his car. He's a wee bit beyond just crossing the line. I'd happily wager a large amount of money that if you came face to face with a friend and former workmate who had slept with an ex partner of yours whom you had a child with and had then tried his best to cover it up to prevent you and others from finding out you would be struggling to "get on with it". 1st of all I'd do my best to avoid the children part. I admit I don't think I'd be talking to him. But I wouldn't like to give him any satisfaction in knowing he's got to me. Bridge is just acting a wounded soilder. There is obviously a reason it's now his ex. She isn't one to be trusted (even though she is single and not his) and probably not worth the pain he's putting himself through. Im not denying that Terry is a total scumbag for cheating on his wife with whom he has children with. He's got a checkered past, but if his wife is daft enough to forgive him thinking it won't happen again then thats her problem. As for throwing him out the squad. I doubt the English nation team would want to lose one of their best defenders, especially given Rio and Ledley are so injury prone. Its really got nothing to do with football and is a matter between JT and WB.

Stay or go?
I'd probably go with that. Esson Tokely, Munro, Proctor and Foran are all SPL level players with the experience. Whilst it may be difficult to keep Foran the other 4 would be great to keep. They are the foundations of the team and have the most experience. Rooney scored a good half dozen in a relegated SPL team and is improving with each game. HE's got a knack for getting goals and is young and improving. Hayes has really stepped up in the last few months. If we can it would be fantastic. And Cox has done fantastic for coming in at 18 years of age. Great potential Bulvitis, Duff, Gillespie, Ross, Shinnie too. Plus Sanchez. If we lose Odiambho, Eagle, Stratford they can be replaced. And the left backs plus McBain have no real future. Tho we do need a new left back if Shinnie is not ready and for cover anyway. Nothing special. Solid and reliable will do. So basically what you said.

Butcher and Malpas
At last, a bit of continuity and certainty. Lets get the squad signed up and keep on the promotion push.
