  1. Im gonna plum for Bayne. Although not our best player he always tries hard for the team and gets goals in important games. His all round game has come on leaps and bounds since his 1st season in the SPL. Munro is also not given enough credit
  2. The 1st division used to be host to a fine array of strikers when we were there. Only Mcmenimen and Scotland caught the eye last season in terms of goal getting though. Goals are what make the difference and I dont think that even if Wyness has a good year next year he can do it alone. Bayne is good for half a dozen goals but we need a pacey front man to play with Denzils good feet and Baynes physical presence so Burchill would be an interesting proposition.
  3. Grassa says that 2 strikers and a centre back is what we are after (and thats taking into account losing Dargo) so an experienced forward looking for a fresh start and hungry to prove himself and a youngster hungry to make it in the game. We need another powerhouse at the back. Dunfermlines Bamba doesnt want to play 1st division football? Alex Burns perhaps upfront? I doubt we'll get anyone from a top team. Have to scour the 1st division or look at our rivals.
  4. Signing players for Inverness must be the hardest job going. Not only do you have to attract them to the SPL without the yearly euro fix but also no where near the central belt either. Alot of players see Inverness as out in the wilderness and really far away from anywhere. No wonder we sign so many County Players. So CC should be given credit where due. He deserves a bit of job security.
  5. As a player representing a community club if the alleged allegations are indeed fact then it is a disgrace and the said player should if true be rightfully ashamed at his actions as this not only tarnishes his reputation but the name of the club as well. However I use recreational drugs (not saying whether their legal or not) from time to time and haven't felt that they overly affect my character in a bad way. Most make me merry and sociable (others i shun away from). I don't really care if i'm judged for this. I've seen plenty more fools who bring society down on booze than other things. Francis Begbie was anti smack but he was a violent so and so and couldn't handle his drink in a positive sense. Also look at Holland - before relaxing the laws on cannibas and such the drug crime and crime in general in Amsterdam was reaching unsustanible levels. It was on an upward spiral. Crime there now has reached record lows and continues to fall. The UK on the other hand has some of the strictest laws on drugs in Europe and the highest crime rates along with that. To put it briefly, I really hope if guilty the club dont go down the Chelsea/Mutu route and sack the player. Rehab and an enforced, but agreed to, community service helping youths with drug problem would be more benificial. Whether the SFA chose to hammer any players on recreational drugs is outwith the clubs control but I am always bewildered why players who get done for steroids (and other performance enhancing drugs) get much shorter sentences than sportsmen who do cocaine for example. Cocaine is more of a personal problem which needs help than a means of cheating. Someone dying of a heroin overdose at rock ness doesn't do much to lower the profile. Moral of the story - Do what you like to your body, but dont get caught! :018:
  6. A time machine, £500 quid, sounds a bargain! Stick it on ebay!
  7. i dont really rate either. no better than we have but ICT is a magic place. They may become gods here.
  8. some clearly bitter clyde fans there given some of their fans waist lines. Remember when they thought they were trying to compete with us for the SPL - those were the days, what a hoot!

    Rory

Whats this nonsense that there arent enough Scotland under 20s strikers and thats the only reason Rory gets in. I've read european reports that consider this bunch of players one of the better under 20 teams in the world (meaning they'll bow out 1st round) And the strikers are there. so if rory can get in, he must be doing something right. Give him time. Its not easy playing for a lower SPL team where chances are more scarce, especially when your only other experience is reserve and under 19 level etc where the pace is much slower. Perhaps farming him out to a 2nd or even third division team would do him the world of good. It worked for both Miller and Riordan (Cowdenbeath) and the current scotland no1, Andy Webster started at that level, Dargo was at Raith, Wyness developed at ICT as did Mark Brown and Barry Robson at us and before that in the 2nd before moving to become Dun Utd (ok his career has went downhill :blah01:) But there is no point in booing him no matter how bad he is. I doubt it will make him play better.
  10. Im gonna answer all the questions currently ongoing on this thread. a) Who would i rather have in the team disregarding contract issues - Dods by a mile. Hes' made the centre half spot his own, is dominant in the air and scores extra goals to. b) who should play between now and end of season - Caff. We'll never know if he is going to cut the mustard if he isnt played for an extended run and given that Dods is offski then he deserves a chance. c) Rossco is a right back end of. I'd hate to see him wasted at CB and miss his excellent runs down the right flank.
  11. John Sutton seems to be developing a knack of scoring against us so perhaps getting him would stop him doing that me thinks. Hey the old firm do it so why not us!
  12. My mate just told me about this...I cant find it anywhere online other than Strachan wants him to play on loan at a team who play summer football, ie the USA or a Scandinavian team. He's already ruled out a move to Mo Johnstons Toronto because of the artificial pitch. But according to this source of mine he is being linked with ICT. If even he was the fraction of the player he was before injury i'd still say it would be good for ICT
  13. Perhaps this is why ICT were so good away last year....with all the tinks we steal we should be ace at travelling! :015: :015:
  14. Is it really THAT bad clacher? :024: We're still 8th, i think we've stalled a little but theirs next season...wait till the summer before you completely write him off
  15. i'd take dorus as back up for fraser tho...
  16. How did falkirk beat the tims... :010: Still think when we avoid relegation we have Midden and Falkirk worse than us. (Stokes has probably saved Falkirk in my opinion)
  17. After yesterday, im really not looking forward to this....We can but hope!
  18. Altho i dont know how many people will pay for his name on the back of their replica tops :021: unless theirs like a special offer in that you get the constanants free. It'd still cost about a grand :015:
  19. Still thought it woulda been nearer 5000. Im as much to blame as anyone mind :023:
  20. Thats why i only said he's done ok... He's definately made mistakes and we are not getting results we are capable of against "lesser" oppositon but we need to strengthen heavily in the summer and cast out the dead beat and then judge CC
  21. Bayne gets way too much critisism...He signed a pre contract when we were in the 1st and probably was bought planning for the 1st division. He's stepped up and improved greatly in the last year. And altho he doesnt score hatfuls i think he always gets around a half dozen. And he has an excellent record v the old firm as well! Mcswegan had me bullied for signing for us....I tried to somehow excuse it. It was a hard ask, impossible really! :017: Good to see Dargo back. And Macallister and Fraser still are learning - give them time. Hart perhaps is no longer required altho i always liked him. Morgan again is young but cant get in the team yet and should be given time. CC hasnt done great but with 2 wins against Rangers and a 9 game no loss run he's done ok...We dont have a budget and we dont have a youth system of any note and we are slap back in the middle of nowhere location wise. Sorry but thats a tough task for anyone!
  22. As we had a free kids promo going on yesterday, with an attendance of 4447 could it be deemed a success? :024:
  23. great to hear, and Rory can only learn from him as well!
  24. you could easily say that about being black tho. Nothing wrong with being black so nothing wrong with being called it and that to be offended at being called it would be racist......Now for some reason it just doesnt quite sit right that, does it? :024: However i hate the idea i cant say what i like. If someone is straight and take offence at being called gay i want to annoy him. Its just for the craic eh! :023:
  25. Not really seen enough of the lad to judge him but im always in favour of giving youth a chance. Alot of good young players benefit from going on loan. Craig Gordon did i recall, as did derek riordan and look at stokes albeit different levels. But he could develop as a sub too! :001:
