  1. I knew it was a cop/espionage/kidnap show thing. CSI isn't that far off.
  2. Have the club ever approached Scotty or CaleyD for either assistance or advice? A good website doesn't need to be a big flash powered nonsensical mess. It just needs to have up to date relevant material presented in a consise and well layed out manner.
  3. See that Andrew Shinnie has went back on loan to Dundee. I dont ever know why we are not more proactive on loaning players. Fair enough we got bad eggs in the likes of Fetai and mackie but if done correctly loans can be worked superbly. John Highes at Falkirk knows how to work the system well and we should look to follow his lead. There are young hungry kids out there above the level of SFL football but would benefit greatly from 1st team football.
  4. He'll probably be away with a few others come the seasons end so lets hope he can step up and do a job until then. If not then no great loss.
  5. Its a really really stupid article. Then there is another article claiming it was all a big joke and that humourless Germans are getting overly wored up about it. Its either one of the worst jokes ever or an awful attempt at trying to save face. I could maybe see the point if there was a big giant swastica in the middle of the strip but no there isn't the shirt happens to be black. Like how they had personal body guards that wore black. Thats like saying any team that wears all white is automatically linked to the KKK.
  6. I dont get how Egypt always seem to woop ass at the Cup of Nations but never seem to qualify for the World Cup.
  7. He is just a young guy, playing at 1st team level for the 1st time. Some take longer than others to adapt to it. Then you've got the fact he's travelled 500 miles to a new club with new people around him and a new City. Not everyone settles in as quickly as we all would like.
  8. I wasn't back seat mod'ing (not intentially) just enquiring as to whether it was getting into a completely different realm. I figured that as mods had commented on the subject outwith topic it was deemed ok to continue in the vain it was. But i get that giving you the heads up be best. Its just that its such a depressing change of tone, from a potential new signing, to the demise of the club we all love. Alot of clubs have chief Execs, who do alot of the same things that DoFs seem to such as contract negotiation on behalf of the manager/head coach, except they tend to come more from business backgrounds as opposed to football ones in general.
  9. Another twist in the tale eh... this has the makings of a movie. Well maybe not quite yet. :017:
  10. I thought city bid a total of ?110m? with his transfer to Real being around the ?57m mark. Thats where I was getting the ?50 odd million from. Even getting them into the champions league is only worth around ?15m unless they can guarantee they reach the latter stages and they would still have to shell out on his wages also.
  11. Loads of cities have industrial estates next to the sea. Its an ideal place to put them for many reasons.
  12. "I've seen mamma mia 2 times already" "well after 2 comes 3... like me"
  13. Well he is a newbie so i feel it best to warn him of all the bad things that go with being a County fan. Not just the following of the team that is temporarily above us but everything that goes with it. And life is indeed too short. And I'm immortal.
  14. Which is exactly what you are doing by posting this. I really wanted to point that out... you know be a cheeky so n so. but then realised that I would become the back seat mod and that vicious cycle would continue on.
  15. Well we can still sign free transfers and people we already have on longer deals outwith that so it doesn't need to all be sorted by then in terms of what we plan to do given promotion or relegation is whilst neither is impossible, both are unlikely.
  16. Is this the most off topic, topic, ever? Discuss.
  17. 1. is the Aussie guy in CSI or something. He's a bit of a, well I wont go there. 2. I'll go with what Sir C says. 3. They poo'd on their porch 4. The Sea Saw Stand because they saw the sea, see. 5. He went them in Football Manager(fact). Linked to job post? Managed Sergei Baltacha?
  18. What happens midnight on Monday? Is that because the transfer window closes?
  19. It is kind of a mixed bag. He might do better if he knew what players he was going to keep beyond the summer at the club and if he would still be here himself. Players might find it easier to know they have their immediate future sorted.
  20. I dont nessesarily think a money making business person would no. However my point was that the club haven't been all that upfront about wanting some if they do indeed need it. And that if someone did offer the money, I get the impression the board wouldn't give him a say in how his investment was used and he would retract his offer. As I say its just an impression I get.
  21. I always get a sense of Deja Vu when i read something like that. Hmmm let me think.... wait....... it's coming. Yep, No, sorry lost it. You seem to forget how open our board are to fan communication so that can't be it :D
  22. Oh please. Heskey is not better than anyone. He's just a big lump that falls over alot.
  23. Well he took us down after managing to get us 5 clear with 2 games left and has fail to sustain a strong title challenge in the 1st half of this season, however our form has improved in the last 6-7 weeks and he has signed several promising young players whilst working on a very tight budget. So in terms of overall results, could have done a touch better but he's an improvement on Brewster and has done well in parts.
  24. I remember a couple of years ago when we made the club a private company to allow investment without having to sell a share of the Club (I think this was the reason - my knowledge on shares and business is vague to put it nicely) Now we did that to encourage fresh investment... but then it seems forgot to do the advertising. Of course that takes initiative and they had just used up all their yearly allowance of that it seems. Then Allan Savage came along and did invest money, however there seemed to be disagreement on how to run the club and he was moved out. I dont know but it always seems to me that the board say "come and invest in our club, but dont expect a say on what to do with your dosh" I've always got that feeling. Imagine going on dragons den and trying to secure an investment and not saying what you would do with the money. - Im out!
  25. I dont think you can really compare Pirlo and Cambiasso. The 1st is a playmaker who sits deep and pulls the strings, as well as delivering superb deliveries from dead ball situations. Cambiasso is more like Gattuso if your going to compare him with any Milan player only he gets forward more and has a better passing range, whereas Gattuso is better in the tackle and is powered by a duracell battery. He just keeps going. Milan must be gutted that Kaka never went to Man City. They made a ?50-60m loss of profit on that sale. You'd think they would try and buy from the back forward. Best way to do it IMHO
