  1. I'd support Summer football...geographically, we have a lot in common with the Scandanavian Nations & they seem to manage Summer footy fine. Nothing like freezing your posterior off at the TCS in Winter to make Summer Football appealing!
  2. It's a distinct possibility! Part of me wants it to happen (purely to get the derbies back), but, like it or not, County are flying the flag for Highland football in the Premier just now - it's like 2 fingers up to the SPFL/SFA & all the Central Belt clubs who moan about the travelling! Would love to see the Highland Derbies back in a couple of seasons, but in the Premier league! Won't be next season though, barring a miracle
  3. Would completely agree with that- would have scored more Yesterday with a bit more understanding between the midfield & forwards. Baird puts in plenty effort, with no result...I almost feel sorry for him. Wish he would just score, then go on a scoring run of games but, sadly, can't see it. For all the critism that others have on here against Polly (& Vigurs too, for that matter), we would soon notice if we didn't have them! At least we have a solid defence (although I was half expecting an equaliser for Dumbarton Yesterday!), steady progress but nowhere good enough yet.
  4. Can't fault Baird for effort, but an end product is completelt missing...
  5. Fantastic news & a real statement of intent from Robbo & the board. I was fully expecting a premier league club to offer Carlos a deal (probably the Fortune Tellers over the bridge...). Very welcome boost & good on Carlos for penning a deal which I'm sure wasn't as generous as his current one. Another here for the long haul....Brad McKay next, hopefully!

It is based on last season's SPFL Premier league clubs, I believe, therefore I beleice we are entitled to the £375k-not next season though for a similar payment. I'm prepared to give any striker that Robbo signs the venefit of the doubt - at the sort of level/wages we are at, it's either going to be a rough diamond or a striker at the tail end of their career. Assuming David Raven (who we'll miss) going off the wage bill wilk free up some resources? What about Cooper - will he be offered a conrract or moced on? I'm ambivalent, as have seen very little from him so far.
  7. Maybe he just needed the right club/manager..hope so
  8. Take it there's a chance that the game will be called off again?
  9. Ach, Caman - you beat me to it! Was just going to say that myself...believe Brad's deal is up this season? Would be great to get the other half of our central defence signed up for the long haul too..strong foundations & all that..
  10. Just on Twitter that Coll Donaldson has signed a 2 Year deal...great news!! Welcome for the long haul, Coll & hope we make it back to the Premier League before you're contract is up!
  11. Don't agree, sorry - think a call off on the Friday is sensible as it allows more time for alternative plans to be made by the away fans - especially those who are maybe travelling up the night before (not many, probably). Also, given the state of the roads & travel situation/disruption, why ask the Falkirk team/fans to travel? I would hope that the same common sense approach would be made if we were playing away (not likely, however)! Probably time that Summer football is seriously considered...as per Scandanavian countries?

C'mon, we have Susan waiting to come back....! Seriously, can see either a loan deal (couldn't see Rooney or McKay doing it though) or, as has been said, an obscure name. Think it will be the latter, maybe a young, hungry player who hadn't broken into a 1st team squad yet - either on loan or signing (a route that has served ys well before...Wyness springs to mind). Or, give our youth a chance - sure there's some decent potential there?
  13. Fair enough, I had read on another thread that there was some booing..
  14. By the way, was reading that some 'fans' were booing Raven at the last game... Just....Don't, ok! Total lack of respect for the Rave, who gave his all for the shirt on numerous occasions
  15. Kinda reminds me of the early years of the TB era when stalwarts like Munro, Tokeley, Golabek, etc left...wasn't happy at the time, but I suppose the team needs rebuilding & is a work in progress. Hope Coll Donaldson is offered an extended deal, as I believe he is only under contract until January?
  16. Would reiterate that...who can blame him for knocking back a reduced deal...I thought he might go for it, but he is well within his rights not to. All the best for whatever you do in the future, David - we will always remember THAT goal at Hampden! See you at the anniversary dinner for the cup winning team in 2025!
  17. Does seem like a good, positive appointment to me..I'm happy that the club seem to be following through on Graeme Rae's promise to build a sustainable future for ICT, particularly after the utter turmoil the club endured over the summer
  18. Personally, I think they deserved a night out after a nightmare trip down (particularly for not letting the trip be an excuse for losing the game, which they didn't) - the players are human beings after all! Keeps the team spirit up as well...as long as they come back & knuckle down for Saturday's game, which I'm sure they will

They did try to keep Fisher, but he decided to sign a deal with Motherwell instead & who could blame him? I too would have loved Fisher to stay...
  20. Chuffed for John Baird getting a goal - he needed that! Hopefully will be a confidence booster...
  21. I just love the Scottish Cup (& not just because of 2015...) - I remember Auchinleck Talbot (I think..) playing Hearts at Tynecastle for one...and as for all the wonderful cup ties we had as a lower league club. It's great to see small clubs get a tie against the 'big boys' & as DoofersDad rightly said, these clubs have earned the right to these ties. What with TV cash & a potential big gate, these ties represent a huge incentive for the smaller clubs & can make a real difference to their finances.
  22. Definetly the toughest tie so far but the youth team have done very well & should go into this tie full of confidence. Will go if I'm not working...
  23. That's excellent news & well done to everyone concerned at the club
  24. It's looking very much like it'll be Michael O'Neill then...can't say I'm unhappy about that
