  1. Still have that top...it's my 'lucky cup top' - not that footy fans are superstitious or anything....if I'm heading to Belfast or Oswestry (or even Dumbarton..), I'll dig it out of the drawer.. That season's away top (both with/without the fans names) is, imho, one of the nicest designs we've had.
  2. That makes sense to me...he could be an asset (even on a short term deal). I wasn't at the County charity game, but someone I know was and commented on how well NR & Doran linked up.. Worth a punt, I think - although, as I said already, just a basic deal which fits in with our current wage structure
  3. Think the youth team would be a good place to start...obviously not pitching someone straight in, but there are sime great prospects there, I'm sure - good strikers are hard to find on a transfer!
  4. Me too, with the obvious caveat that he has to fit into the current wage structure of the club. Probably a short-term deal, which maybe would suit both us & Nick (if he is looking for a move overseas). My only concern is: how hungry is he? He never quite managed to nail down a starting place last time he was here & I don't personally think a lack of ability was the reason. Would also agree that those who are saying that signing a striker is a priority - however, we must have some prospects from the youths who could step up here? Or Susan....?! However, think he would have signed by now if he wanted to or if Robbo thought he would add to the team...who knows? Maybe finances are too tight to allow it?
  5. Interesting feature, which I missed on the night as I was sitting shivering in the North Stand...silly me! I have to agree with Robbo about the history though - as a former Jaggie, we do have a long shared history with 'Caley', but our club was formed in 1994...please don't get me started on the Refuseniks who abandoned us though!!
  6. Yes, Interesting...wonder if he is just looking for a game to keep fitness levels up or a possible January signing?
  7. I like that idea too but...as tempting as it might be, no strips that are red 'n' black stripes or all blue with white trim, please! PumpFake's idea of an 'out there' 3rd strip designed by the fans is excellent, by the way....
  8. The idea for a local bakery to supply the pies, etc, is long overdue (think I may have said something similar on another thread, long ago)-I noticed that Nairn County have their local bakers products on sale (Ashers) at 1 of the pre-season friendlies. Again, a community club should be supporting local businesses (& vice versa)...also, would be far better quality & would sell more!
  9. Absolutely cracking idea-as a club that the chairman said he wants to see being closer to the communuty, this would be a great start
  10. Most definetly - the numpties who give him (& Polly) dogs abuse need to have a long hard look at themselves
  11. Anyone else think it's time to put this thread to bed now...
  12. Nice looking items-will pop down & have a look..haven't been to the new club shop yet...
  13. Pleased to read that statement & that Graeme Rae is following through on his promise to provide more open & honest communication with the fans - it's very welcome & I would completely agree with the sentiments in the statement.
  14. Good point - personally, as myself & others have said, I'd be more than happy to see Raves get a contract extension to the end of the season, but suspect this won't happen. If he feels like moving south for family reasons after being treated with contempt by 2 managers now, who would blame him! Maybe his legs are going a bit now, but he is still easily good enough for the Championship at least. Raves will always be remembered up here, for me, he's up there with ledgendary ICT defenders like Munro, Tokeley, Dods, Golabek, etc....I will never forget that winning goal against Celtic at Hampden - one of my best ever ICT memories! Hope to see him up for the anniversary celebrations of our Scottish Cup win, which he contributed so much to (sure he will bring his guitar as well....)!
  15. 100% agree with that. I have no time at all for people who associate supporting armed forces with supporting unionism/rangers - I'm all for the armed forces day but I'm certainly not a Unionist or a Sevco fan!! As said already, why are we criticising the club for initiatives to get more people through the turnstiles? Other days should be held - we might increase the fan base that way, rather than doing these initiatives all at once.. As a side note - my Wife is a Nurse (who goes to the occasional game) & she thought the armed forces day was a good idea...
  16. Fair point, but think the whole 'attracting undesireables' is totally overblown - there's thankfully not much of that in Inverness
  17. Please...think we are taking things too far here - can't really understand that this is even being discussed! Anything that potentially gets more people through the turnstiles is a good thing, imho - maybe have some sort of special days for other professions too in the future. I'm just saying there's nothing inappropriate in having a 'forces day'...
  18. Probably one of the most sensible comments on this thread - couldn't agree more! What a happy memory that night we knocked Celtic out of the cup at home, I was there!
  19. It's a fair point, but our armed forces can potentially be away from home for Months at a time being shot at, so I don't begrudge them this day at all. Military personnel have to deal with stuff the rest of us could (fortunately) barely contemplate.. My other half is a nurse, so please don't thing I don't appreciate what they have to deal with either..!
  20. Dreadful news - my thoughts go out to TB & all his family, I can remember him speaking about his pride for his son's army career at a pre-season open day when TB was up here
  21. Think I read OFW is out for about 6 weeks due to a torn calf muscle... Clean sheet with Ridgers in goal is a bonus, hopefully give the team a bit of a lift.
  22. Not sure if Foran's reputation is up to managing Elgin, but if he does apply/get the post, I'd wish him all the best (and to work on his after match interview technique...)
  23. Worth touting Macinnes, if only to annoy the Aberdeen fans...
  24. Would agree with that...I know malky mackay is taking interim charge for the friendly next month, but can't see that being a permanent appointment - think he is on a good number with the SFA anyway!
  25. After the departure of Gordon Strachan, who do we fancy to replace him? Personally, I was slightly disappointed to see Strachan go (but it was probably inevitable) - he did make mistakes & the results at the start of qualifying were awful (1-1 draw with Lithuania at home springs to mind), but at the end if the campaign, felt like we were starting to get somewhere..just not quite far enough.. My choice? Struggling with this, but Moyes, Lambert & McLeish seem to be tbe favourites - can't say I fancy Allardyce for the job though! I did like Strachan's obvious passion for the job, but he was a bit stubborn with his team selections at times....
